Anyone hear anything re major bust up in dressing room before game, some off our players cheering Celtic result

I'm told Butland Raskin Djiga were exceptional unhappy with certain players.

This came from someone connected to Rangers standing outside dressing room, apparently Cavanagh wants heads.

07 Nov 2025 14:44:21
John, I don't see an issue with players enjoying Celtic losing.

07 Nov 2025 14:48:26
Which players John?

07 Nov 2025 14:51:48
Here's hoping Thelwell was the cheerleader. Cavanagh can take his head anytime.

07 Nov 2025 14:55:51
Not heard anything but for me it seems we need to replace the leadership group within the dressing room.

Butland, Raskin, Tavernier and Souttar seem to be constantly mentioned when it comes to disruptions in the dressing room

For me as much as they may be talented footballers this is a team game and we need a group that all share the same goals.

07 Nov 2025 15:01:14
Great so Cavanagh wants heads to roll for that yet is happy to employ the 1 who's blown 10s of millions on players most accept are nowhere near the level. i'm so happy he's got his priorities straight.

07 Nov 2025 15:03:29
Can't see it been true but nothing would surprise me with this team.

07 Nov 2025 14:59:14
If 2 of the 3 cared more about there own performance od be happy personally don't think its a prob cheering the other mob losing.

07 Nov 2025 15:17:14
Frankly if they weren't cheering about them getting beat I would be more raging. We may be brutal but we can still dislike our rivals and laugh at their results. Do you think they heard our result and thought "Aw what a shame? "

07 Nov 2025 15:17:34
Cavanagh wants heads in terms of what John? The incident in question or at the general state of affairs?

07 Nov 2025 15:19:54
So Rangers players cheering Celtic getting beat? If so good that's how it should be in would be more angry if the cheered when the win.

07 Nov 2025 15:22:57
Things like this when your winning no one's cares about because we're so bad just now feels tinpot.

07 Nov 2025 15:23:12
Every player in our dressing room should have been fully focused on our match, and our match only. However, if it was Rangers supporting players who cheered, then it would be a difficult thing for them not to, being Rangers supporters all their lives.

Butland and Raskin have never been, and never will be true Rangers supporters, so they'll never get it. And as for Djiga! Where do I even start with that one?! ??.

07 Nov 2025 15:41:54
As bad as Celtic are, we're worse.
Rohl has a massive task on his hands.

07 Nov 2025 15:48:06
Wouldn't surprise me John,
You sound confident in your source anyway.

07 Nov 2025 16:11:50
What's wrong with cheering Celtic result that should be a good thing pmsl.

07 Nov 2025 16:15:19
Not doubting it but why a major bust up over that? A quick shut the f#£k up and focus on us would suffice.

07 Nov 2025 16:21:10
Whose head is he looking for. Those that cheered. ??.

07 Nov 2025 16:38:37
I'm not really understanding this? Why would some players be unhappy with others cheering that Celtic lost?

07 Nov 2025 16:45:08
The first heads to roll should be stewart and FAILWELL, then and only then can our great American saviour start looking elsewhere as for me he is as much to blame as he hired that clown and sticks by the guy from star trek. Beam me up scotty until this mess is sorted!

07 Nov 2025 17:00:50
Checks. Mb if we could play well it would help

Exactly sunshine, we need to concentrate on our game.

Onewalter in our lifetime we focus on us not any one else.

Goram no 1 Raskin and Butland wanted players to focus on our game.

07 Nov 2025 17:02:16
Co2 very very confident, the players cheering were not Scottish.

07 Nov 2025 17:13:21
I would encourage that you can bet that lot do it with interest, plus we need to get rid of the leadership group, seems to be the source of problems since integrated.

07 Nov 2025 17:13:49
Are we talking about Tav here, John? Am I reading the subtext here and on the button? Or am I miles off? The reason I ask is that you haven't mentioned our captain as being one of those being unhappy at what has supposedly went on.

07 Nov 2025 17:55:11
I can only say what I was told sunshine.

07 Nov 2025 18:01:52
Can't imagine the greats of our former teams not cheering a loss for that lot. I'd be disappointed if they didn't.

07 Nov 2025 18:05:52
Cavannagh will deal with this. 10 year deal for Thelwell ?.

07 Nov 2025 18:11:15
That doesn't make sense, what is the problem with Rangers players enjoying the fact Celtic have lost, unless I'm missing something.

07 Nov 2025 18:33:45
Its not true heard by someone standing out side the door that's up there with taxi driver told me.

07 Nov 2025 18:34:42
Fair shout guys. This is why we are going backwards imo, we have no standards and a seriously split dressing room.

07 Nov 2025 18:43:05
They should be more concerned about what a disappointment they have all been this season rather than paying any attention to what Celtic do.

07 Nov 2025 18:51:08
Reading about Rangers players cheering the Celtic result if that was the only problem within Ibrox i would be a happy man.

07 Nov 2025 18:52:41
I have absolutely no interest in what the other lot do. Do I smile if I hear they have lost, most certainly do. Do i love it when we do them, 100 % scud it right into them, but my thinking is, Rangers win games then we win trophies.

**** what their results are against anyone else. It matters not a jot as long as we do our business properly. If we fail it's because we have been poor, nothing else.

07 Nov 2025 19:01:39
I have not felt like cheering when that lot drop points. That is because we have been so bad that we can't take advantage of it. If i'm in the squad at the moment I would be far too embarrassed to worry about what other teams are doing. They have not earned the right to cheer anyone else getting beat. Focus on earning your salaries.

07 Nov 2025 19:36:42
Out of that dressing room if it was only Rangers supporting players who cheered that would only be Kelly and Curtis, so it wouldn't be much of a cheer.
I would suggest that Raskin spend more time looking at his own performances than moaning at others. As for Djiga, well he should gather all his gear and go back to Wolves.

07 Nov 2025 19:54:14
I'd be more disappointed if they had the opposite reaction. So do they not want fans in the stadium that done the same? I've absolutely no problem with this. The hatred of them as a club is what we've been missing in this team for a long time.

07 Nov 2025 20:09:27
Yous are all picking this up wrong, it was Thelwell cheating when he heard Celtic had been awarded a penalty.

07 Nov 2025 21:20:03
Major Bust Up I think we have more to sort out???.

07 Nov 2025 23:43:22
Regardless of what happened in the dressing room, we were never beating that Roma team we are miles off their level and that wasn;t even their best team, they barely got out of 1st gear anbd still comfortably beat us, we would had got another brugge style skelping if they had fielded their strongest team and went full tilt.

we are conference league level right now and i doubt we would even do that well in that competition either.

we are well on track to beating our recent Champions league worst team ever record except now in the Europa league.

no doubt in time Rohl will be the next fall guy for more poor signings bad results and board failings.

we can't keep selling or releasing our best attackers / players and replace them with mince and expect to improve or have any kind of success.

Can't see much changing in January either as the key problems remain in charge above the team and players, if things don;t change for the better soon, i'd prefer another consortium with serious intent to improve Rangers to come in and buy out the 49ers share of the club as they are only taking us further backwards with the current set up.

08 Nov 2025 00:24:06
Didnt Callum McGregor say in a interview he and a few Celtic players celebrated us losing the EL Final? Not quite sure why we aren't allowed to dislike Celtic lol.

08 Nov 2025 07:35:15
I'm not reading this the way most have replied I would guess the bust up would be about our focus and current form and perhaps the timing of this cheer, but not the cheering itself. And it is our senior players that have told the others to pipe down, don't be so fecking childish and focus on our match and then it has turned into a bust up.

Still not sure why this would result in Cavanagh wanting heads to roll unless this got physical?

08 Nov 2025 18:56:10
Americans involved in sockurball, don't see many great success stories, Cavanagh was in directors box beside Stewart so I doubt that was a pleasant experience listening to that odd little alien.

09 Nov 2025 00:43:26
Vernon Stewart's face was an absolute it ye picture sitting beside cavanagh.

Stewart will not be here much longer.

I expect at the close of the January window we will no longer have Stewart or Thelwell snr and jr involved at the club.

Perhaps Purdy will avoid the bullet until the summer but I expect that by close of window that here will have been mass changes.

Anyone else remember when £8m was a lot of money?
