A few points I feel I have to make.

1. No one is happy with what has transpired at the start of the season.

2. Mistakes have been made and acknowledged and work is being done to rectify.

3. Danny Röhl needs time and I believe will deliver.

4. The regime is not in for a "quick-buck"

5. The previous regime would have had us supporting a grave. We would be dead.

If this makes me a "fantasist", "happy-clapper" or liar then so be it.

I refuse to lower myself to petty insults and would prefer to engage with people willing to have an adult conversation.

This site has now been overrun by conspiracy theories and unmitigated anger.

I would love for our site to return to one of sanity and tolerance and I am here willing to engage with like-minded individuals.

If you are an individual that cannot engage in an adult discussion then please refrain from engaging with me.

Well said asathor. The start has not been ideal but in time we will get there. A lot of our fans forget about no surrender. In times like these we need unity and calm.

08 Nov 2025 12:29:58
Sorry Asathor I try not to be disrespectful to you but you said to ssfc after his post that he is lacking in understanding and lost all sanity apparently because Steven Gerard never came back. You say you refuse to lower yourself to petty insults. Is calling someone insane which is what someone who has lost all sanity is not a petty insult.

I believe you reap what you sow on here and in this instance you got a reply based on what you posted.
I do agree that the old board had run out of ideas on how to take us forward.
The new owners have made mistakes and still are.
Thelwell is a charlatan and they seem have been severely hoodwinked by him. Everybody can, see it apart from Andrew Cavanagh.

Nice post Asa, agree totally with your five points. When things are bad, the conspiracies and looking for less obvious reasons for our current failures increase (albeit when the refs are proven to be once again incorrect against Celtic, that fuels the theories more).

Hopefully you are happy to engage with me as I usually enjoy your posts, reading the likes makes me want to write a few thoughts of my own which I did on my match experience and thoughts on Ibrox from Thursday below.

08 Nov 2025 12:33:29
Asathor agree with you entirely. As you say mistakes have been made and a heavy price is being/will be paid. Give DR your backing. it is not his fault.

08 Nov 2025 12:33:41
You are a decent human being Asa. I think the five points you make are rational and fair. You are probably also right about how the site has changed for the worse. The problem is maybe most of us thought the takeover would be a quick salvation for our great club, whereas it has turned into a disaster none of us could foresee.

Once again all we can do is hold our nerve and just hope for gradual improvement and trust that these astute businessmen are quick learners and start to put things right with the consolation that they won't run out of money soon, unlike the previous well meaning board of true blues who had stretched themselves to the limit financially.

Good post Asa.

08 Nov 2025 12:38:32
Asathor for a smart person u really need to learn to ignore people. U bring a lot to this site and I enjoy reading your posts. This post feels like ground hog day tho!

08 Nov 2025 12:41:28
Well said ASA, We need to trust in the 49ers strategy to deliver, a rocky start but I believe we are moving forwards now.

08 Nov 2025 12:44:42
Why I've not been posting the past few days, too much anger ( and rightly so) but it's clouding measured thought and engagement, think this is my 3rd post in 2 or 3 days, one re Dougie imries daughter, one about the UB and this.

The return to a semblance of who we were won't happen overnight, they will get things wrong, they will be addressed, we will get there.

08 Nov 2025 12:46:45
Hi Asathor, in reply to your points.
1/ Definitely.
2/ Not sure how we rectify spending £8 million on an unproven striker. Or the say Thelwell has in making transfer / football department decisions.

3/ Correct.
4/ Hope not.
5/ Previous regime, I believe, did the best they could with limited funds but as true Rangers men, probably let their hearts rule their heads when making decisions at times.

Thanks for lifting my spirits a wee bit EHL with the news of possible signings in january. This season and last are probably the worst I remember apart from going down the divisions. Four records Rangers broke I hope we never repeat.

Losing 7 goals for the first time at Ibrox ( liverpool), losing all 6 CL games, losing to Queens Park and now losing 7 euro games in a row. What has happened to us?

08 Nov 2025 13:01:34
Always happy to engage but telling people they've lost their sanity because they have a different opinion IS insulting and petty not exactly displaying adult discussion. Again you like to dish out insults and tell people what and how to post but don't like it in return, which is a shame because in general I enjoy what u bring to the discussions. It works both ways.

08 Nov 2025 13:04:50
Well said Asa, terrific post my friend ?You did always speak highly of Danny Rohl and how highly you rated him long before even russell martin got the Rangers head coach job ?I think he'll do well at Rangers and i've taken to him a lot, just like the majority of our supporters have Asa ?.

08 Nov 2025 13:32:58
The manager will be given time from the support but the two above have no way back, the owners will have them on their sights.

08 Nov 2025 13:33:41
So when you told a poster to crawl back under his rock a few weeks ago that wasn't a petty insult?

08 Nov 2025 13:34:06
Unmitigated anger? In all honesty, we're probably playing for third in the league. We've been knocked out of the Champions League, had four games in the Europa League, and lost all four, scoring only one goal.

We've just been knocked out of a cup by our biggest rivals. We've scored 12 and conceded 11 in 10 league games, and we've spent over 25 million on players who aren't performing. Should we be feeling positive at this point?

08 Nov 2025 13:42:28
Here's a wee ?.

08 Nov 2025 13:51:32
We have only won three league games, been knocked out the League Cup by our biggest rivals, humiliated in the CL and getting humiliated in the Europa, a competition we are usually strong in.
We have had to remove our new manager in the shortest time ever for a Rangers manager and, after a fortnights dithering, replaced him with our third choice ( no offence Danny) and we have wasted a lot of money assembling the worst squad of players since we were promoted back into the top league BUT nobody should complain about it, let's all just clap along and be happy.

I'm not personally insulting anybody but I will keep moaning.

08 Nov 2025 14:24:02
Could be three in a row tommorow wslgers.

08 Nov 2025 21:32:20
Fingers crossed My Star.
