So Scott Fry is our new set piece coach. Great, well required in the modern game. There must be loads of these type coaches in Europe to look at. We obviously looked at the set pieces Wolves or Lincoln are successful with and appointed there man ??.
Think Thelwell getting his band back together ?.

Well if you search on google what it says in regards to Lincoln City and set pieces it sounds promising! (Although looks like they got the last part wrong?)

Scotty, I just read that 33 out of 62 goals scored from set plays in his time, or very similar.

Lincoln also had the highest differential for set pieces in Europe I'm sure as well (goals for Vs against from set plays).
47% of their goals coming from set plays earning them a 6th place finish in the league. Think they're the best this season in their league for differential so far as well.

I need to stop being negative, let's hope he implements a big improvement with us as we are woeful with set pieces. When we were successful with goals from set pieces we had Borna and Tav absolutely on point with goal scorers to convert.

Just to add some further info this season they have only scored 3 corners, 2 free kicks and 2 long throws but have only conceded 3 from 92 corners.
Important to add they only average around 2-3 corners a game and are scoring at a slightly better rate than 1 goal from a corner in every 14. Slight improvement on that and we're scoring a set piece every game.
Ignore the Thelwell link and focus on the data and this is a very smart appointment. May be from a lower league in England but the data is superb and not going to be an expensive appointment. Looking forward to a hopeful upturn in this. Could be worth 10-15 points for us per season.
