Delighted with a win and a clean sheet last night. Small steps as Danny says. Maybe a scrappy 1-0 is best because stops some getting carried away with expectations. Clearly there's a lot to improve. Thought we were far more organised and worked hard for everything. Especially wee Barron, would have been gutted for him if we'd been punished for his one mistake.
Going forward we created very little, can barely remember their GK making a save so front 3 need time to develop understanding, but think they will get better as confidence grows. Great touch and finish from Danilo and was special with his wee Dad having a party. Do his confidence the world of good.

Goaly, back 3 and Barron were all superb, Meghoma was good but understand his booking meant he had to come off, still need a lot more from Aaron's if he's want to start wing back. Raskin needs to up his game big time. Front players are no where near at the required level at the moment but he's building from the back so Hopeuflly in the next few games we start to see it clicking up front.
I've been mega impressed by Rohl so far, so fair play to the ones who wanted him from the start even when it wasn't the popular choice.

Danilo is not a lone striker, playing 2 upfront really helps him and gives him a lot more support. On the flip side doesn't gives us as much width. Would rather Gassama rwb sunday.

I felt we dominate the first half playing 352. Then for strange reason we reverted to 1 striker in the 2nd half and it nearly cost us the 3 points. No idea why we changed it at half time.

Good 3 points that we would likely have dropped under RM. Still a lot of improvements need and got off the hook thanks to JB, thought the second half dropped off and we allowed Hibs back into the game. In the end the score is all that matters, onwards and upwards.

Yeah I thought we did look like conceding. If you compare stats from 1st to 2nd half its quite damning. Hibs xg 0.14 1st half and 1.73xg 2nd half. We had 60% possession 1st half. Hibs 59% possession 2nd half. We had 4 shots 3 on target first half. We had 3 shots 2nd half. Hibs had We were in control of the game playing two up top in the first half.
2nd half we played 1 striker up top and it cost us control of the game and nearly the points. The stats show that we are better with two up top and it suits our strikers better. I don't know why Rohl changed it. Strange decision, almost cost us if it wasn't for Butland.

Apart from the penalty, i don't think Hibs had a shot on target. agreed we need to push more to finish these out, but for sure we knew hibs would be pushing to get at least an equaliser.

Hibs didn't have many chances but they did miss a penalty and missed a sitter and a header just wide so we did give up some chances but in the main we looked far more solid.
