Steven Davis or Neil McCann in line to be the ex Rangers player added to Rohl's backroom team, would be happy with either.

McCann, would be my preference at the moment, got way more coaching experience than Davis, in a few years when Davis has had a good grounding in coaching, I'm sure Rangers will welcome him back in to the fold.

Id take both davis has a great way about him I loved him in a Rangers strip and mccann will always be my favourite after that day at parkhead it was one of the best days of my Rangers supporting life.

Davis for me.
Mcann already got his turn as assistant manager under Ferguson.
Davis deserves his chance now under Rohl.
Both great players for Rangers in their respective eras.
28 Oct 2025 07:49:20
Laudruphagi what has Davis done in coaching to deserve a coaching role at Rangers.
28 Oct 2025 07:53:21
Think both would be suitable tbh.
28 Oct 2025 10:10:29
Ajd, I'd prefer Davis as well, Rohl has his trusted men already in.
28 Oct 2025 10:23:02
Steve Davis has been involved with Northern Ireland since he retired Ajd, won't be far away from getting his coaches badges either, said yesterday McCann will be more qualified but does that make him the best man? not in my opinion yours is clearly different.

Lot more names being looked at than the two mention by on line.
28 Oct 2025 12:15:16
My star in my opinion neither of them have done anything in coaching to be involved to get a job coaching for Rangers should involved a lot more than having played for Rangers.
28 Oct 2025 12:27:16
AJD the same as McCann, nothing! If McCann is that good a coach why hasn't he coached since 2021 bar 3 months last season? He's on the TV more talking a good game. The same old names always linked.
28 Oct 2025 13:18:53
Ajd, Rohl has his men in though, I feel Davis would be better than McCann.
28 Oct 2025 14:17:12
Id probably go with Davis if its between the 2. More thinking for future planning that he could potentially be the next manager if he performs well in the role. he's a natural leader.
28 Oct 2025 14:24:59
Im not arguing for mccann either the same argument I'm using against Davis is my same argument against mccann playing for Rangers should not automatically get you a coaching role at Rangers coaching roles at Rangers should go to those who have a proven track record at coaching no matter where they played even if that person played for them along the road.

Huey that's my thinking mate.
