There is something in the manner we play that lacks conviction. I genuinely think Chermiti is honking, but I am willing to give him time if it's in the reserves. But, here is a question, people are saying positive things about the young Celtic lad that scored, I think if Chermiti played in that Celtic team, he would get goals. Does anyone else think this? Do we need a better style of play? Let's be honest, their 'style' always looks better on the eye, while ours looks turgid mostly.

This is why I was into Muscat possibly being our new boss, to give us that attacking style of play. Or, is it just the players we have been lucky/unlucky to have over the last 10/12 years?

03 Nov 2025 18:44:32
He could play in any of our teams from early 90s to early 00s and would still be honking.

03 Nov 2025 18:51:16
Well there's a first time for everything MFO.

03 Nov 2025 19:13:38
As a team we need to do our best to get our strikers chances and scoring,
If Raskin, squares the ball to Chermiti 1st half after fantastic through ball from Danilo, the one bit of quality in the first half, Chermiti doesn't miss that chance as he gets himself in the open 8 yards out central to the goal.

Wouldn't have been complaining if Raskin scored but he didn't.

03 Nov 2025 19:14:04
MFO, do you think Muscat would have been able to implement his style of play, within 14 days, with our squad whilst playing 4 matches?

03 Nov 2025 19:19:23
Give Rohl a bit of time to unravel RMs mind virus.

03 Nov 2025 19:24:12
First of all we don't have a reserve team and Chermiti is too old for the U19s. We could send him out on loan but would we really pay £8million for a player and do that.
I don't think Chermiti would get goals in any team and hasn't in the past. The young Celtic boy, who cost a development fee from Fulham, scored his goal and ran Souttar ragged because he has pace and good movement.

let's stop kidding ourselves, we have spent all that money on a dud when there were plenty of others we could have got for a lot less money.

03 Nov 2025 19:25:08
It's going to be a season of ups and downs. We've been left with a team low in quality and confidence for me danny needs jan and the summer because we can forget anything this season.

03 Nov 2025 19:37:21
MFO, they all need to sharpen up, don't know if it's a fitness thing, but we seem slow mentally and physically. Hopefully Rohl has seen this, and will sort it. Yesterday the other mob took quick throws and free kicks and put us on the back foot, we don't do that against anyone.

03 Nov 2025 19:46:15
MFO, would i be correct in assuming that you don't rate our new head coach Danny Rohl mate ?My first choice was Kevin Muscat also but i most definitely see improvement and green shoots under Danny Rohl and already i like him and think he's a good, young head coach who'll do well for us imo, but will have to be given time and a couple of transfer windows minimum ?As long as i continue to see improvement under Rohl, then i'll give him time as our head coach ?.

03 Nov 2025 19:32:24
Rohl is only in the door fgs man, we do not fight like we did the second half with ten men under Martin, better in many periods of that half with ten, we missed a good few easy chances yesterday, different today Chermiti scores his rather easy chances, but for losing that game their was still many positives signs, patience.

03 Nov 2025 19:50:32
What makes you think if Chermiti was wearing a Celtic top that he would score goals?
He missed 2 sitters from 2yrds because he's not a very good striker and just proves why he never scored any goals for Everton in 2 yrs.

He struggles to control a football and can't judge a header and can't score goals and he's 6ft 4 and gets bullied.
He's just not very good at his job and neither is the guy who bought him.

03 Nov 2025 20:23:58
The boy will score goals I just not might be enough. We all just need to wait and see with new coach in. We need more creativity yesterday was a bit better but need chances like that every game.

03 Nov 2025 20:26:02
No doubt Rohl is a good coach as you are not no 2 at Bayern and German national team if your not, he has made a bit of a difference already in trying to get the team harder to play against and more disciplined but until we get better players in then it's going to be difficult for him as he has to work with what he has, the recruitment has been poor and we need to start getting more right than wrong.

03 Nov 2025 20:53:18
I actually do rate Danny Rohl and feel like he cannot make a silk purse from a sows ear. I hope he turns it all around and he makes all the correct noises so far. My beef is mostly with the players that are not good enough. Maybe I am being naive about Muscat, but, i have always been intrigued to see how it would go with him. I do accept that ship has well and truly sailed now though. EHL, i do not expect anyone to turn things around instantly and i think what Danny Rohl has done in such a short space of time should ve applauded.

I suppose i am just sick fed up watching our teams all being so slow, pedestrian and unexciting to watch 90% of the time. I'm not interested in watching the eastend mob. I want Rangers to be exciting to watch and entertain. This again would also come under a bigger issue i possibly that I may have with generally not enjoying football as a whole much anymore for lack of entertainment.

03 Nov 2025 21:18:55
CO2 Chermiti missed a glaring chance from 3 yards out yesterday. The guy could not hit a coos erse with a banjo.

03 Nov 2025 22:09:29
The foolmonty he scored the other week from 23/24 yards what's your point?

03 Nov 2025 23:20:07
He's a project player but we should never be paying 8m on a project player.

04 Nov 2025 00:45:26
How does someone with Chermiti's goal scoring record become our first choice striker? On what planet does that make sense?

How on earth did we agree to pay 10M for someone with his goal scoring record? An absolute shocker. And a very, very strange decision. At best, gross incompetence.

The lad didn't ask for the price tag, but he's happy to take the #9 and start ahead of Miovski. If so, he has to produce the goods. Our first team is not a training ground for a project player.

Produce the goods, or you'll be moved on.

04 Nov 2025 07:26:09
MarcoVan - Aye but moved on for a substantial loss no doubt? - IMHO then Thelwell should be working for zero wages until he pays the deficit up to the club and fans for such a horrendous purchase - aye watch that happen ?- just another batch of self important nepotistic useless leeches at helm of our club?.

04 Nov 2025 08:09:41
Howler from the keeper strom rigbt down middle and he punched it into the goals ? heres hoping we can sell him on asap and claw back some sort of money. Be lucky to get 2 mill back.

04 Nov 2025 10:09:26
I will judge Rohl from December by that time I think we will be playing some good football.

04 Nov 2025 11:15:58
Blue-Floyd - we paid 8M + 2M in add-ons and he hadn't scored a senior goal in 2 years.

Just think how much he must be worth now with one goal under his belt.

In Thelwell numberwang, that must push his price to 15M. Sell in Jan for a tidy wee profit.

04 Nov 2025 12:45:56
The older guys on here will remember when we signed Colin McAdam from Thistle. He wasn't much of a footballer, but he did what we wanted from a big centre forward, he bullied centre halves and if we put a cross into the box he would win it and score some good goals.

At 6'4" Chermiti doesn't even do that.
Bring back Josh Gentles and at least let him develop in our first team rather than this expensive waste of a shirt.

04 Nov 2025 15:30:11
Wsl, gentles can't get minutes at raith.
