As much as I personally couldn't give a toss about the Scottish team, and them qualifying, I am made up for all the supporters of the national team on here. Well done guys, and congratulations.
I'm not going to be a hypocrite or a 'sunshine supporter', and all of a sudden become a Scottland supporter and jump on the bandwagon. Honest! ??.

I'm assuming that you were born in Scotland Sunshine. If so, it's a no-brainer that you support your national team with a passion. I had a tear in my eyes during the singing of Flower of Scotland and at the final whistle. Here's tae us, wha's like us!

Ditto.

Cheers mate and I am still buzzing.
Interestingly, for 50k in a stadium who all have the perception of gating Rangers, Schmichael didn't half take some abuse.
19 Nov 2025 12:03:55
Thank you sunshine. What a night, did you manage to see any of it mate. Penalties, sending off, worldy goals, last minute goals, had a little bit of everything.

Murrayfield on Sunday
Hampden last night
And I loves it … ?????????.

I've obviously got " no brains" because I was born in Scotland, but I don't support Scotland with a passion. I used to and I remember getting excited when we qualified and went to previous World Cups and even attended some of their games back in the day, but there is too much recent history for me to support them passionately.
That said I would rather they win than lose and I am pleased for the players they did manage to make it this time. Three cracking goals, two dreadful refereeing decisions and late drama all made for a compulsive watch that you couldn't take your eyes off.

I seen the goals, and I must admit, 3 of them were out of the very top drawer. That overhead kick?! Wow!
I heard about Schmeichel getting booed, and that was music to my ears.
I was born in Scotland, Doiger. However, my dad is from R Ireland, and my mum's side, from East Belfast. That's quite a mix. ??
I was always a Scotland supporter, and my favourite players of all time is King Kenny, even though he played for them. I was at France 98, European 96, and have been abroad with the tartan army many years back. Things have changed since then, which has changed me towards the national team, and the fuds from the 'tartan army', but we'll not dwell on that.
Enjoy the tournament, I hope you all have a blast. And if anyone is travelling over, be safe!

Dodger
Bit OTT, I'm Killie born bred, but whether due incessant rubbish I'm not shedding tear on qualification. I'm old enough remember 78 when we went massive bravado and came back tails between legs. Our squad is limited as is our realty.
19 Nov 2025 12:59:40
Yeah dado we were giving it to Schmeichel all night loved that mate.
When watching the goals back, i'm not sure if it's coming from the commentary or what, but you can hear someone shouting to kenny McLean, shoot, shoot, then as the ball is travelling towards the goal you hear them screaming, ohhh my goddd he's done it, brilliant ?.

BB4, Must have mental being there, it was mental in my living room.
19 Nov 2025 13:43:05
I've never been able to wrap my head around the section of our support that holds distain for the national team, it's mental to me. Having problems with the SFA is one thing but not supporting the actual team is ludicrous in my opinion.
19 Nov 2025 15:16:34
Fair enough Sunshine, a good Gaelic mix in your bloodline. I agree that King Kenny was amazing and a Rangers supporter I believe? I'll always be passionate about Scotland, especially having lived in England for the last 41 years, but Dundee born and bred and I'll be looking to book my flights to North America next year. Take care my friend.
19 Nov 2025 15:53:18
Was Steven Thompson I think BB4, very Rangers centric commentary / punditry team last night which was good to see! Maybe a small opening or attempt to try get some Rangers fans back into the national stadium.
19 Nov 2025 18:35:37
You too Doiger! I hope you have a fantastic time, you deserve it Sir with all that has happened.
19 Nov 2025 19:29:49
Pauly not ludicrous at all, I've been to one Scotland game Vs Ireland away in 2015 and on the ferry over fans were singing your not Rangers anymore. Told myself I'd never attend another game, I want the team to win but due to the amount of muppets that go watch them i'd never class myself as a supporter.
19 Nov 2025 22:42:14
Doiger i'm sure living rooms up and down the country were all the same matey.
Wishybear, that's mad you got to one Scotland game and hear that and I've followed them for over 30 years and never heard anything like that. Sure it wasn't a few Celtic fans on there way back over to Dublin? Proud puppet BTW!
20 Nov 2025 08:20:30
BB4 I'm not saying every single fan is a muppet, so wasn't a dig in the slightest. I don't have an issue with anyone who goes I just had a bad experience and it put me off.
