Look, no matter who got the opportunity to manage Rangers, some would be unhappy.
Plenty championed Gerrard based on his first gig at Rangers.
Some were behind Muscat for having a winning background in the Far East and were hoping he could replicate Ange's success.
Some would have loved a McInnes or Robinson to steady the ship.
Others would have loved a sprinkle of the staunchness from Ferguson and Co.
Some talked about the no nonsense approach of a Dyche type.
And there was loads of others mentioned as well.
All have their merits but also have negatives as well.
Same as most managers except for those at the elite level.
That's the beauty of football.
Rightly or wrongly, we all have opinions.
The club have bestowed the honour of managing Rangers on Danny Rohl.
We can either fully back him or wait for that first bump in the road to criticise his appointment.
With a smug "I told you so".
I like others don't know much about him from what I've read.
Spoken highly of by some people in the game.
Managed a basket case of a club in Sheffield Wednesday.
And with all their issues steadied the ship, saved them from relegation, and then finished mid table in a very competitive league.
I've looked at a few of his team selections and he isn't afraid to play different formations.
He's employed a 3-4-1-1, 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 etc. Something we've all moaned about in previous managers who were too rigid in their formations.
I'm not writing of this season yet. Not saying we will win the league.
But there is domestic Cups to be won and a reputation to rebuild in Europe starting on Thursday ( sorry Asathor ).
It's time to put our personal preferences to the side.
And fully support / back Rohl as he attempts to get this season back on track. ?⚪?.

You can please some of the tatties all of the time, and all of the tatties some of the time. But you will never please all of the tatties all of the time.
Unless it's sacking Russell Martin.

Excellent post MPH. We've all had different choices but think he's definitely one we should all be able to get behind. ??.

Well said MPH
100% agree
Positive energy from the supporters would go a long way in helping the manager and team improve performances and results.

Great post again MPH, personally speaking in happy with Rohl I preferred him to Muscat as I think he has gained a bit of experience in England and in Europe. A post yesterday mentioned rooting out our so called senior leadership group in the dressing room, I couldn't agree more looking at the half sleep Soutar and Tav, IMO they are totally in their comfort zone and need a rude awakening as they offer zero leadership on the park.
So much rightly criticism for RM but the senior players seem to escape severe criticism.

I heard a guy on Rangers Review saying that after the last few years all the support want is to get back to the pinnacle of domestic football by winning the league title. Pretty sure that was the same thing said when Gerrard was appointed after the lower league years and having had guys like Pedro and Murty in charge and yet now we get some people saying but Gerrard ONLY won that one title.
Our fans are never satisfied and, although we should never settle, we should allow ourselves to enjoy it when we do achieve something and respect it afterwards.

That's one of the things I'm looking forward to seeing, I honestly think he'll chance our tactics depending on the situation.
