Unfortunately though, the media are having a field day and filling the void with half truths and speculation.
Appreciate that the club can't respond to these, but the silence creates additional unrest when the fans are hurting.
It's a poor situation that was avoidable, but bizarrely as bad as it is - the treble is still on!

I get that EHL, but the manner in which this has been approached leaves a lot to be desired, think it needed to be more decisive, looking very amateurish and is promoting discord, lack of trust and disengagement in the fan base as is evident.

Hearts out league cup so won't be doing a treble.
They won't mantain this form for full season either, we have to get this appointment right and new manager has to hit ground running or at least grind out wins. there's still 90 points to play for, hearts aren't finishing on 100+ points, not saying we'll get all 90 either but we at least need to be there when they do slip up.
Dream appointment would be knutsen but that's not happening, it's looking like rohl now but we've thought that before so who knows, wouldn't be my 1st choice but he's coached at top level and done well with what he had at SW.

Its the silence from the club on the managerial vacancy that is making it look like a rubbish show. So many in the know, club media and the MSM are putting names out there. It's all speculation.
The speculation around the reasons why Gerard and now Muscat have pulled out of the runningus isn't helping the situation when, in truth, nobody really knows anything.

I watched an interview with who I think is EHL and it said he is a Hearts fan. How about it EHL is the H in your name for Hearts. ?.

Said you were a hearts fan as a boy growing up said you played in defence
And thinks he knows you from your time at Raith back in the day
Not that it matters anyway.

I agree Fork, from what I can gather there are two issues that are preventing our ability to be more decisive.
1 - we're at a crossroads and the club are reviewing our strategy, which I think is sensible.
2 - we're not an attractive club or league anymore, so candidates are typically in the driving seats and have their own set of demands - something that Martin also had, which delayed that process.
On point 2, these demands don't relate to things like full control over signings - that's just not a thing that happens in football anymore. It's more around size and make up of support staff, exit clauses, bonus clauses etc.
