The negativity surrounding Rohl is almost as embarrassing as our Stewart and Thelwell themselves.

IF Rohl walked away because the club (Thelwell) wasn't allowing him the level of control he'd like, then fair play to him for sticking to his guns.

IF he has returned because the club have negotiated a work around, then fair play to him for showing he's NOT a "yes-man".

He's maybe not the "ideal" candidate, but at least he's shown he wants the job and wants to succeed with his ways and his team. If it's Rohl, all the best to him and his backroom team.

Hopefully it unearths the final nail in Thelwells coffin along the way to winning things.

Amo, I highly doubt there has been a work around on recruitment otherwise they would've done that with Gerrard and Muscat.

Thelwell OUT.

Ammo55, I agree mate, some of our fans need to got a reality check, we are a big club is a piss league where we have over achieved in Europe in recent seasons, but failing miserably now, and no wonder we have a toxic atmosphere which must be hellish to play under.

We have embarrassed ourselves as a Club with these 2, Thelwell and Stewart being allowed near candidates, it's actually surprising that any Manager would want to talk to either of the, come on 49'rs get these 2 out of our Club now.

Good post mate.

However takes the job will be lucky to last to the summer. No manager will delivery success with the current framework. I'm actually losing sleep at the thought of Thelwell getting another window. We're actually writing off next season as well.

I suspect the boo'ing to start around December with protests in January. I hope the yanks are losing a fortune, it's the only way they'll make a change.

In place for training tomorrow, couple of games from winning his first trophy, hopefully backed from all.

Amo - good post bud.

Let's hope the hard of thinking amongst our fans can differentiate between the new Head Coach and the 2 alleged wastes of space.

He/ Players need our support - Thelwell appears to be indefensible.

Blue89 - Appreciate that pal, obviously just opinion and i appreciate yours.

Muscat wasn't coming till December by the look of it, no work around for that. The Utd game showed we need someone in to at least offer stability.

Gerrard, god only knows the real reason he didn't come, there's more to that one than just he didn't want to work with Thelwell. So again, there maybe was no work around.

Firmly believe Rohl was ahead of Muscat in the pecking order before the issues arose with him, so i'd rather adjust my terms for my first choice than be dictated to by my second.

Thelwell already to back Rohl by getting his wee black book out and seeing what pals down South need bang average players taken off their books for maximum moolah??? - I will back our new manager whoever he is but will the Killer Clowns behind the scenes be able to help rather than hinder now - time will tell.

Cheers Storm. It's obvious everyone's hurting just now and it's easy to get disheartened, we all are.

Genuinely think Rohl isn't anywhere near as bad as some are making out, especially those writing him off as another Martin. Just hope he gets the tools to succeed from above.

Here we go again, SG and KM did not refuse because of our recruitment team and the policy/ structure of the club. believe everything in social media if you want, if you do then label yourselves gullible.
