I can't see him seeing off another manager as he is out of contract in summer and in no way on this earth should he be offered another deal.

Maybe he will bring one out called the only captain to lift a league trophy in the last 14 years. Or the only full back to get a European competition top scorer award. Or one of Rangers top scorers of all time as a defender in a number of shocking sides with bad managers. Or maybe one called James Tavernier:The man who's dug us out many holes and is barely ever injured and gives his all even when playing with a team of mental weaklings. I could go on. Tav will only be fully appreciated when he's long retired unfortunately. Had he been playing in a Walter/ McLeish team he would be absolutely lauded.

Gerrard left because he wasn't backed by the board after we won the league, fix the roof when its not raining was his quote, if he does come back the 49ers need to give him a decent transfer budget and we need to get the scouting and recruitment better.
