I hear that the reason Gerrard knocked hs back earlier is same readon he will fo do again. If he returns to UK there are huge tax implications, cations to his Saudi earnings snd pay off.

That is nonsense Scotty.

Steven Gerrard was liable for substantial UK tax on his earnings from his time in Saudi Arabia if he had returned to the UK for work before April 2025, due to UK tax laws that treat someone as a UK tax resident if they work abroad for less than a full tax year. By remaining a non-resident of the UK until the start of the 2025-2026 tax year (April 2025), he could avoid paying a potentially massive tax bill on his multi-million pound earnings from his Saudi-based role as Al-Ettifaq manager.

Hopefully that puts an end to that.

This move allowed him to remain a non-UK resident through the 2024-2025 tax year, thus avoiding a potentially multi-million pound tax liability on the income he earned in Saudi Arabia.

That will be all clear now i think.

Ouft scotty that's harder to read that Martins gameplan.

Nothing to do with that and he never rejected it last time.

Easy to look up. The answer is below. Hopefully this puts the tax rumour to an end.

Gerrard's situation: According to reports in February 2025, if Gerrard had returned to the UK before April 2025, he would likely have been subject to UK tax on his Saudi earnings from April 2024 onwards.
