Some interesting pairings being posted the one i like the sound of the most
Manager Gerrard - Assistant Defoe (both of them would command instant respect, drill into the team what we expect as a club and team, Defoe could teach the attackers new tricks, and Gerrard of course would get the midfielders lashing in screamers.
Head coach - Beale (yes i know his management situation didn;t go well) but he had our team playing well above their level tactically as we all witnessed both in Europe and domestically, he is a coach through and through, personally i think he should never have gone into management it's not his best use, good enough to coach Chelseas youth teams and good enough to coach liverpools youth teams, the fitness and skill levels we had with him as a coach were excellent, we had barely any injuries, with the exception being players like Roofe, for example who had serious injury issues long before he came to Rangers.
we definitely have a talented team and it's key we get the management and coaching team right for the group of players we have, get Cifuentes and Cortes back, and start rotating Nsiala and Curtis they are all talented players in their own right and offer something different from our current 1st team squad.
we can't afford to mess this up again this season, we can still have a good season, all is not lost yet.
GK - Butland, Kelly.
LB - Cornelius, Meghoma.
LCB - Djigga, Nsiala.
RCB - Souttar, Fernandez.
RB - Tavernier, Aarons (Until Sterlings fit)
LCM - Raskin, Cifuentes (much better player than Rothwell)
RCM - Diomande, Barron.
CAM - Aasgard, Bajrami.
LW - Gassama, Curtis.
RW - Cortes, Antman.
CF - Miovski, Danilo (Chermiti needs to work on his confidence and scoring technique until then he isn't ready)
Cortes has played a grand total of 47 minutes at Gijon hardly going to build up his confidence so get him back at Rangers he is fit again and let's see if he can revive the same talent that had lens shelling out 5 mill on him as a teenager from Alfredos old club Millionarios in Columbia, he is not a LW but rather a RW, his goal scoring highlights pre Rangers show this.
i put him before Antman as i believe he is a far more dangerous RW and attacks defences and takes shots, Antman hesitates too much when he has a chance to shoot from angle.
If we get this right we can still win the League and progress past the Europa League Group stage, we need top performances from everyone, as we have some easier games for the new management group to fine tune the team, then some very tough games shortly after.

Laudrup, I like your optimism however II don't really see any real talent in our team for any new manager to work with or turn us into a team that can challenge in the league this season. We won't progress as long as we have to rely on Tav, Souttar, Raskin or Diomande, let alone the new lads brought in over the summer, none of whom know what it's like to deal with the pressure heaped on game by game. It'll take at least another couple of transfer windows to get us to the levels where we can challenge in the league again. Guardiola or Flick couldn't get much of a tune out of our current squad and I genuinely think our striking and midfield options are worse than last year. Martin had to go but no matter how bad he was it doesn't take away how poor our squad is.

I think there's a definite need for an ex player within the coaching team - however, I'd be worried if we were filling all the senior coaching roles with ex-players for ex players sake.
Personally I'd like to see Ross or Naismith as part of the team.
