Wondering what effect the criticism of last week's appointments had on the decision to get rid of the imposter. Have Thelwell and Stewart pulled the trigger to take some of the heat from them.

That's why I believed last week that Martin would go in this upcoming break, starting to see flak coming the way of Thelwell and Stewart and as soon as that happens then there is generally action taken.

We're all surmising what the catalyst was for Stewart and or Thelwell to pull the trigger.
Was it the flack over the appointment of his son? The result of the confrontation at the hotel? The fact Martin was hustled out the tradesmen exit yesterday?
Not sure but l would really like to think the results and the style of play was the reason he was binned cause as we all know those were extremely painful for all.
But more than likely board self preservation was likely the reason.

John that is worrying that the people in charge have been thinking that way. He should have been gone after Brugge no ifs no buts. This is the reason I don't think the people in charge will get the next manager correct.
