Hear me out on this, put I think we should try a midfield 3 with Raskin, Rothwell and Bajrami. Raskin as the holding 6 getting on the ball. Have Rothwell and Bajrami higher up the pitch, might give us that little bit of creativity in midfield, Asgaard as a 10 is not going to work he gets too crowded and isolated.

We don't play with a 10.
The best formation and set up would be a 4-2-3-1 in Europe.
With Raskin and Diomande double pivot with Bajrami or Antman as a true 10.
I know Bajrami not in the Euro squad.
I'm the league a dynamic 4-3-3.
Raskin as a 6 with Thelo and Diomande on the 8s.

It's not a bad idea but you'd think the best formations would be revealed during training. They spent decent money on Aasgard, and he's still getting used to the game, funnily enough what was said about Bajrami last year. I think Rothwell can do a job further up field. There's were moments yesterday in the first half where I could see fast fluent passing. For the life of me, I don't get why wingers don't charge down the outside more. That way when they cut in, it's not as obvious.

Cheers asa, I get confused watching our midfield at times, there so much going on in there I can never tell if we're playing with a double pivot or a single. It's a shame about Bajrami not being in euro squad.

I think we need three midfield options - which isn't unusual.
In games where we will dominate the ball on a nice big pitch on good conditions (most home games) - Raskin, Bajrami, Cameron.
In games where we'll have to work hard off the ball and keep hold of it when we have it (most European games) - Raskin, Dio, Cameron
In games where midfield is going to be bypassed and it'll be about winning second balls (away games in League) - Raskin, Barron and Cameron.

No offence EHL, but some of those options have been tried and they are too small.
For me it's not the personnel, but the system and intensity.
For large periods of that game yesterday we were 2nd best to a team on a shoe during budget. It's simply not good enough.

Personally wouldn't have Diomande anywhere near the team, I just do not see what he brings to the game in any way. At the very best, he would be a reserve for me.
