Scraping past Livi has only prolonged our pain by another week.
Stewart and Thelwell are well aware now that Russell Martin won't be accepted by the fans. A last minute winner and all the emotion is instantly directed to a manager who has tried to alter the expectations of the supporters and insulted their loyalty and intelligence.
Trying to claim yesterday's performance was "amazing" is just riling up the fans even more. Making sarcastic comments about "looking coached" would be fine if he had some credit in the bank but he has no right to be this bold and only makes the target on his back even bigger.
His rhetoric doesn't wash for me. You want to say we played amazing and the best we have played yet here are the facts in black and white.
It took us 6 games in the league to score our first goal from open play.
The winner we scored has nothing to do with his style of play, he threw as many attacking players onto the pitch in hope of a winner. it's come from a ball into the box from a set piece.
He clearly doesn't learn from mistakes, another goal conceded from a set piece.

Vitriol long term isn't any good to anyone and being negative all the time is exhausting but he really does need to be moved on asap.
