MPH can maybe enlighten me on this. I heard a stat that we've apparently had over 300 corners this season and only scored from 4 of them. If that's true that is abysmal.

I get where your coming from.
But I heard a stat once that only 3 percent of corners lead to goals. It really surprised me it was so low.
Do agree that our CBs should have more goals than they have this season. Probably remembering it wrong but think only Soutter has scored one goal this year. Goldson and Balagun are yet to score. There have definitely been chances for all of them to get more.

In the SPFL:-
We've had 205 for corners.
And 96 against corners.
I would bet we would concede more from corners than we score even though they are heavily skewered in our favour!

most top teams in europe seldom cross balls --period. but we still hit an up n under in hope also against huge defenders who just love those crosses. no mark hately's in our team.

One of our biggest weaknesses right through the team is the lack of aggression. That also shows in this stat. Goldson should have had a couple at the weekend but missed the target we need far more aggression same with him and Souttar when the get isolated one on one they hold back long enough to let the forward get first touch instead of cleaning it out.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit, defending team can pack the box and have a clear numerical advantage, starting from a touch tight position where pace and skill become irrelevant, it’s who can get a head on it and the numbers stack up in the defending team’s favour.

This is no surprise whatsoever
, we have been abysmal at corners at both ends for 2 or 3 years at least.
We get a corner we would be as well giving the other team a by kick, we defend a corner I hide under the covers! Even our keepers greegs and Butland didn't and don't come and clear out often enough.

Compare that to Arsenal who have score 19 goals from corners this season already. 11 of which in the EPL.
Personally don’t think our corners have enough guile, was really impressed with Kilmarnock the other week. We don’t even seem to have a look at what works for other teams and try and copy those tactics. Always seems to be a standard delivery to the middle of the box in between 6yrd line and penalty spot.
Personally wouldn’t send the ball in first time. Would work it back first and then try and play it in.

The best form of defence is attack, that'll never change, we need to just be more positive in every game we play, let the opposition be too busy worrying about us.
