Davis? he's done. Not a chance he should be captain. He won't play in the majority of our games. Too old. We need a captain who will be present.

Tav makes mistakes and is without a doubt a better attacking player than defender but when he spends 80% of his game in the oppositions half is it any surprise. TAA at Liverpool isn’t the greatest defender in the world but is full of praise. (I’m not saying Tav is as good BTW) however Tav has delivered more for us than against us (mistakes) so I think it’s crazy the criticism he gets.

If anyone knows what qualities you need for a captain it’s Steven Gerrard so il put faith that he’s the right man for the job. A captain has influence on the pitch and arguably more importantly off the pitch. What you see every 90 mins doesn’t define the work Tav does for the club and his team mates!

12th man is a major part of the problem.

What do you expect him to deliver?

His role as captain is to lead the team on the field and to support them and help the club progress off the field.

Which I think you’ll struggle to disagree when I say he’s done massively.

The atmosphere within the club looks to be the best it’s been in a long time - Tav plays a massive part in that
He is the link between management and players and I have yet to see any negativity from the players in the press.

There are of course other factors to this but you can’t mistake Tav’s influence in these matters

If you think a captains only job is to scream and shout for 90 mins then you are deluded.

Who would you suggest would make a better captain at the club and why?

Lol. You have a really short memory. The negativity was clear when he done his piece in the match programme when he said we couldn’t cope under pressure. I have explained all I named to in previous posts. I think goldson would make a better captain as he is more vocal and certainly played at a higher level than tav. I would have jack as vice captain. I don’t see his leader ship on the field. I have played with captains I have more respect for than him

Everyone on here has the right to post how they feel without being called deluded etc due to someone disagreeing with u. I’ve played a lot of football over the years. Not missed a rangers game in 10 years except away in Europe. I have a sound knowledge of football. Tav in my opinion is no good and we need better. If you can’t see that the. You will eventually. Not aimed aT you directly but . To anyone with the same opinion as you. You don’t know anymore then emdy else abt what tav does as a captain.

I think its a disgrace the way tav gets slated from his own fans this is our captain we talking about he might make mistakes but he's a honest player who if you look at the stats with assists etc isn't half as bad as folk make out.

Tell that to the 12 fella mate, I agree with you, can’t remember when or why I couldn’t stand a Rangers player let alone a captain, in saying that I think he’s probably at the point that he should leave and there are far better defensive players, getting the perfect blend is the key, is Alan Hutton still around, he is a weapon but old enough.

I must admit i have or was worried about tav pre season but glad to say have been impressed with his displays so far he has proved me wrong and i'm happy about that.

He wouldn't be my captain though, just my opinion.

I heavily judge your knowledge of football if you think tav is rangers class or captain. Yes he gets up the line. That’s it. Can’t get back. Loses possession gets caught out of position constantly. Hits 1 in 10 crosses to a body the other 9 time’s can’t beat the first man. c'mon guys. Open yer eyes n take the blue tinted goggles off for just 2 mins. He’s brutal. The fact I am amd other people are slating “ our captain” tells you he’s not up to scratch. Not for at least 2 years now.
