Must say they stats won't do for me especially with the amount of baggage that comes with it. My honest opinion on alf is for years we had strikers that let's be honest weren't great along comes alf good enough striker but is he a brilliant striker? In Europe can't deny he's been excellent but in spl he has never hit the 20 mark once in over 5 years in fact most years he been nowhere near that and for me if your a brilliant striker you need to be hitting 20 to 25 goals a season alf doesn't do that now don't get wrong I'm not saying I want rid of alf but all this has got me thinking can we as a club afford one of our main strikers to be unfit have a bad attitude be good for a red card when things aren't going his way and constantly talking about going on to bigger things I just don't know anymore to be honest.

Gio was correct to drop him as he's the manager.
Gio said it was down to fitness and mentality. Then Gio showed his class by saying 'Morelos has just qualified for the CL' straight after the PSV game.
His team mates also gave him a shout out after the PSV game. Another show of class.
Unlike some on here who have taken great pleasure in vilifying a Rangers player.
You might see it as bending over, Coldo.
And you might have given up on him. That's also your prerogative , Coldo.
Others see it as a show of support for an important squad player.

What poor attitude Mr potato are you actually serious mate and does it need to come from gio for it to be gospel for you. The attitude I'm talking about is the attitude that cost our team 3 points against hibs and has cost us many other times through red cards and being on 30 odd grand a week but can't be fit are you telling me that's the attitude you want our players to have and if you think he was just dropped through fitness and mentality then carry on regardless. We went into the biggest game of our season against psv with one striker because alf wasn't fit and had wrong mentality he was fit enough to come on against his but not play his part in biggest game of our season strange to me and if you think his attitude OK am sure it would have been different if we got put out.

What's your opinions on Alfie staying or leaving .
I personally think he has been out of the limelight for so long that clubs interest in him has dropped to zero.
I feel he will have no option but to stay until he can prove his worth again.
Would be good to see your thoughts guys.

I love Morelos to bits.
1 in 2 goal scorer throughout his full career.
Also creates a few assists as well.
And he's the one player in recent years that young and old fans have taken to their hearts.
Plus he's hugely pivotal to the way we play.
But the conundrum is - does he actually hold us back from progressing as a side as we are overly reliable on him?
When he is out we miss him hugely and no one else seems to be able to play that role.
He also has never had anyone challenging his place in the side which isn't healthy. Maybe Colak ( if he gets off to a flier ) will change that?
And from a top class striker position he lacks that wee bit of composure in front of goal.
But it's like you say SirWalter1, when he is on fire he is coveted by others but seems to fall off the radar quickly as well.
I firmly believe we would have won the EL Final with him in the side and would then have possibly sold him on this summer.

Not on here much but have noticed the Stevie G. scenario keeps cropping up occasionally.
My take on it is, he felt he had done his job getting the 55.
The offer from Villa came just at the right time for him as the wheels were starting to come off at the start of his new season with us.
Heaven knows what would have been the result had he stayed with us.
