No goal scorers given.

23 Apr 2019 20:20:30
We are all hurting as our expectations for this season did not materialise and feels like the same thing happening year upon year. Steve has a great chance to show what he can do next season as the squad should be fully settled in by then.

We don't have the cash to compete with the manks but looking at their recent performances we have the players if properly managed could get us there.

I don't know if the manks deliberately play the waiting game by scoring a winner at the last kick of the ball, if they do then it's up to us and other teams to make sure to defend till the final whistle.

I for one have noticed for years now (regardless of who is in charge) that when we are in front we usually fall asleep and concede goals. We never go in for the kill against the 6 top of the league clubs.

I appreciate we need to get rid of the dead wood but a full scale revamp with new players would in my humble opinion set us back with more bedding in time needed.

24 Apr 2019 07:17:00
I need for a full revamp, 4 players of a higher standard than we have plus a couple of younger players like Hastie will be enough to win the league. Guys like Kamara, Katic and Barišić will be better (or even better) next season after playing a good number games and finding their feet. I can only see us losing 2 or 3 players in and around the first team. We also have Murphy and Docherty coming back. Things are looking more positive than this time last year, the worst thing we could do is signing 10 players, we’d need to write next season off.

24 Apr 2019 09:18:42
Should read no need for full revamp,

24 Apr 2019 11:49:50
S R K
Agree no need for revamp, 3/ 4 quality players, but same old story quality players from the English leagues cost big money, need to look further afield, where we got Katic and Bar, for decent prices, not forgetting Morelos of course from Finland. Extra forward, c b, f b, enough midfielders to start an army.

24 Apr 2019 12:00:38
Yeah I totally agree Ulterman, I’m sure we’ll be searching some unfancied leagues for some golden nuggets. I hope we sign a couple of younger players rather than just loans, although I accept if the loans are on par with Kent then they do better us as a team.

23 Apr 2019 19:32:39
Listening on radio to tributes for Billy McNeil, we should hold a one minute applause in the 5th minute on Sunday.
Show our respect and class.

23 Apr 2019 20:02:28
There are some idiots that would ruin it and make us look awful. that's the sad truth. Even the death mythical figures like McNeill are fair game to some of the morons from both sides!

23 Apr 2019 21:08:59
Minutes applause would drown out the morons.

23 Apr 2019 22:17:07
Yip great idea jboy, nice touch👍.

24 Apr 2019 08:43:00
Jboy great idea to show respect to a decent man would show a touch of class.

24 Apr 2019 23:52:52
no thank you. ibrox is for rangers. thank you.

23 Apr 2019 18:23:11
Rangers come from behind to draw 4-4 with Liverpool u23 in closed door game.

23 Apr 2019 18:51:30
Cool, any info re who played or goalscores.

24 Apr 2019 06:45:08
Believe the team that started and were 4 down at HT was:
Foderingham, Polster, Barasic, McAuley, Worrall, Halliday, Dorrans, Coulibaly, Morelos, Lafferty, Grezda.

McPake and Mebude 2 of the young guns who came on and impressed to come back to 4-4. I’d expect a good few of those starters moved on in the summer.

24 Apr 2019 08:21:17
Hearing Kelly scored two and was star off second half. Also young guy up front Duncan destroyed Worrall
Worrall barisic grezda Lafferty all hooked halftime.

24 Apr 2019 17:44:27
Appears may be Woodburn who destroyed Worrall.

25 Apr 2019 00:13:28
The majority will be moved on 👍.

23 Apr 2019 17:42:54
Jboy, don't know whether you refer to Lafferty or Gascoigne (unproven) case. What annoys me is referral by bears on here to victims age like it matters a Damn. 6 or 60 they are still victims of somebody flashing their old boy at them. What annoys me more is that we may well have 2 cases pending and as RFC this is unacceptable. Perhaps Gascoigne case more out of our control but still unacceptable.

23 Apr 2019 18:12:18
Whatever Gazza has or hasn't done, its got sweet fa to do with gers.

23 Apr 2019 18:18:37
Flashing the old boy lol.

23 Apr 2019 18:41:30
I refer to lafferty, what pending cases u referring too.

23 Apr 2019 20:44:23
i think millerbrandwilson has been on the millers brandy and wine.

23 Apr 2019 17:01:24
Does anyone know first team score against Liverpool under 23s yesterday or who played.
Game was at ibrox.

23 Apr 2019 16:13:54
Good win for reserves, now joint top with one game left, if we beat Falkirk we should win league.
Looking forward to seeing us in cup final on Thursday.

23 Apr 2019 19:53:09
Are there tickets available?

I thought it was a closed door affair.

Anybody?

23 Apr 2019 22:25:27
True blue, I hope to go with a players father, however game is live on bbc Scotland, the new channel mate.

A sad sad day at the demise of Billy MC Neil. Great ambassador for football and a man who won everything in club football but who's self charm was self evident to all. Met him once at a dinner and his knowledge of Rangers/ Celtic players/ teams in 60s was phenomenal. A sad sad loss.

23 Apr 2019 15:21:19
Never had the honour of seeing him play great man and a pure gentleman as an ambassador for Celtic. I've recently started reading Scottish football history for fun and some greats in the 60's/ 70's. Wish we could get home grown talent of that calibre now.

23 Apr 2019 19:54:50
Just woke up to the news Billy has died, a captain in the image of his great friend Greigy who I'm sure will be heartbroken, god bless ceaser, I'm sure the real RANGERS family are saddened too.

23 Apr 2019 12:03:28
On a say day like today when you hear of the passing of Billy McNeill and you reflect on the two clubs and the players and the conduct / standards you could not imagine
Guys like Billy McNeill John Greig Richard Gough Tommy Burns conducting themselves live Alfredo or Scott Brown these overpaid clowns are an embarrassing
it’s about time we demanded more from anyone who wants to wear the famous Blue jersey. SG has to set the standard and it should follow all the way down
Just imagine Fredo had actually kept the heed in 3 games we could have been
8 points better off and bang in the hunt for the championship
1-1 Sheep sent off rescinded
0-1 Sheep
2-1 Celtic

Sure all players can have a rush of blood and get a red card but Fredo has gone OTT
As for Scott Brown disgraceful should hold his head in shame his conduct should be an embarrassment to Celtic as should Fredo to Rangers
To be the best we need to set the standards on and off the pitch

Form is temporary class is permanent
Remember it’s the Rangers your representing. Never disgrace the colours and they will never disgrace you
The Rangers Way.

23 Apr 2019 12:14:30
William king don't remember you coming on knocking Alf when scoring lots of goals
Bigger disgrace is our player flashing his bits to young girls.

23 Apr 2019 12:29:06
A very good post William! John Greig and Billy McNeil (rip) certainly knew how to be captains not like Mr Brown! 🇬🇧.

23 Apr 2019 13:08:12
Big billy paid for my round wan night in the Nile bar bout 20 years ago. a true gentleman and a collosus of a player . a sad miss for all of scottish football no matter where your allegiances lie. proper legend.

23 Apr 2019 13:44:49
Jboy, I don't knock alfie's goals but we are a better team without him. His suspension has been a blessing in disguise👍.

23 Apr 2019 13:49:44
Jboy21 are you referring to Lafferty? Not condoning it for a second but the girl was in her 20s. Calling her a young girl is a bit misleading in this instance. Unless there is another incident I'm unaware of?

23 Apr 2019 13:55:53
Young girl my arse she mid 20s.

23 Apr 2019 15:21:36
Mid 20s young I'm 65, why do u think he has hardly kicked a ball for us, an utter disgrace.

23 Apr 2019 16:07:32
Jboy21 are you 65? Lafferty is not 65 he is in his very early 30's. Although I don't condon it as i'm in my 50's it does seem to be a Morden part of life. Was he lifted? .

23 Apr 2019 16:43:51
Windy. Naw he was flaccid I believe.

23 Apr 2019 16:54:50
Windy point I'm making, is we talk about McNeil and Greig and standards.
I would suggest lafferty conduct fell way below what the club and supporters are entitled to expect.
He will be gone before next season.

23 Apr 2019 17:26:02
Jboy 21 let’s show a bit of class
You are correct I did not grump about his goals
But he is representing Rangers and acting like a moron. Did McCoist Purso Hatley conduct them self like that? No they had a bit of class and pride in the club they represented. If one of our kids at the boys club behaved
Like that week in week out they would be out the door.

23 Apr 2019 17:41:53
Dont disagree, he will be sold, it's about timing. I feel if he stays and scores 30 plus we would win league.
But you are correct attitude has to change.

23 Apr 2019 17:55:31
Jboy21 nobody's defending lafferty but saying he's flashing to young girls sounds like a far more serious crime than he has committed.

23 Apr 2019 17:55:52
Brilliant mccoist shaged anything that moved rangers had to hire boady guards as he did somthing to a Glasgow ganster daughter in a night club.

23 Apr 2019 18:01:14
Jboy21
McCoist 585 games 2 red cards.

23 Apr 2019 18:43:21
It's not the crime re lafferty, it's the stupidity, he is a rangers player.

23 Apr 2019 18:43:59
East Belfast I think that was hately.

23 Apr 2019 19:52:58
People do stupid things when drunk, Lafferty included, only problem is ( he ) should have more sense and realise who he’s playing for, as well as being a Dad, personally I don’t think that’s the reason he not playing, Stevie G. bought him as a squad player not an ever present, so it’s up to him to earn his place, sadly he hasn’t done that, pity because he can be dangerous around goal, he’s just a big fool.

23 Apr 2019 19:55:20
Excellent post and totally true morelos Brown both idiots, and I said yesterday , get shot asap, Defoe is a true professional and we can buy another target man, morelos constantly trust to hold the ball while backing in and arms flailing even when players are beside him waiting for the pass.

23 Apr 2019 20:16:46
You're correct Jboy21,it was mark hateley, not ally mccoist. Thus the reason he left rangers to sign for QPR, way back in 1995,i think. He had to leave.

23 Apr 2019 20:43:08
we won't have defoe for ever and what would we get it we sold him.

23 Apr 2019 22:32:59
Post earlier on McCoist’s antics off the park reminds me of his dalliance with Patsy Kensit. The word was that he would frequently refer to Miss Kensit as his Hampden Park, having had an ageing rock star play at both ends.

23 Apr 2019 23:17:41
Thanks for the correction a new it was one of them my point is if camare phones were about in the 90s there be plenty cock pics going about lol.

23 Apr 2019 11:04:30
Rest in peace Billy Mcneil. Great player and man. Sad news!

23 Apr 2019 11:31:05
Came across as a genuine gentleman, RIP.

23 Apr 2019 14:04:07
As a rangers supporter of many years, i would like to pass on my heartfelt condolences, to the family of the late, great, MR. BILLY MCNEILL!
Great celtic legend and first and foremost a true gentleman. Very sad to hear of his passing this morning.
Rest In Peace BILLY MCNEILL!

23 Apr 2019 09:54:19
Charlie Austin been told he can leave Southampton anybody think he’s worth a punt as replacement for Alf?

23 Apr 2019 10:28:47
I like Charlie Austin and I’m sure he’d score a barrel load in Scotland, although his record for Southampton isn’t great both his QPR and Burnley record are very strong. I don’t think we could afford his wages and my gut feel is he’d stay in the PL or perhaps a very strong championship team.

23 Apr 2019 10:33:09
I also think Fraser Campbell is a better shout. I believe he’s on a Free transfer this summer and probably still has a lot to offer.

23 Apr 2019 11:02:10
I would consider both.

23 Apr 2019 13:51:39
Charlie Austin is a good player but his wages would be huge and he has had a few injuries. Sadly we can't afford to take such gambles. Campbell doesn't really do anything for me.

23 Apr 2019 15:07:05
campbell for me wouldn't be suited for us. Never really rated him as a striker. Austin would be a good signing if we were able to pull that off he certainty wouldn't get bullied up here and would score goals. Him and defoe next season could be deadly.

23 Apr 2019 16:11:20
Austin a good player, however another one with a criminal record for assault.
I just think we should not sign players like that, it should be an honour to wear the jersey, I know we have signed players with baggage but it opens the door to media to have a go.

23 Apr 2019 19:51:07
Would rather Austin than Campbell, Cambridge bell has never impressed me when watching him but Austin has.

23 Apr 2019 19:56:53
Go to Scandinavia, find a talented tall target man like hateley, and we could have another hately/ coisty deal.

24 Apr 2019 23:26:51
Tommy that only works if there’s a half decent target man in Scandinavia, wouldn’t mind someone in the mould of a jelavic or a dado prso but I think it’s more likely we’ll sign an out of favour epl player like Austin or welbeck.

23 Apr 2019 09:37:20
