Just had a look at RFC squad. We've got ten players out on loan. Barker and Simpson are never seen, but collecting a wage. When you actually take a closer look, we are really low on options. Roofe injured, Kent red carded, Alfie away to Colombia, only itten and sakala are left as strikers. I know the injured players are almost back, but what about their fitness levels?
Davis injured, arfield injured, jack injured, bacuna really not that good, lundstram struggling. Hagi is hit and miss, sands is unknown, kamara is decent, but still not many options in mid.
Balogun injured, helander injured, bassey playing out if position, big niko binned, barisic decent, Tav decent, goldson looking for a money tree so will be binned and king not really tested. Souttar isn't in yet. What's going to happen if kamara gets a red, barisic gets injured and sakala gets injured. We would be in real deep soapy bubble. We really need to introduce some academy players or get in at least two new signings because the season has a long long way to go. Cups, league and Europe are still to come. When you see it like that, we realise just how good we are. Unbeaten under gio. Four points ahead and still the best team in Scotland. A blip v the sheep, but we are still top.

looking at our position in the league and taking into account the most recent flat performances under SG.
I'm pretty sure that we have a squad good enough to win the league unless we have a prolonged run of injuries but still expect one 1st team starter to be signed in January and one more to leave.

One league defeat in a season and a half we drop 2 points at pittodrie and it's a crisis to some people no doubt the same people who are turning on the team at Ibrox if we haven't scored in the first half hour.

Quite a few guys coming back from injury tonight/ early next week according to Gio. Next 3 games are Stirling, Livi, Ross County so should be able get everybody minutes on the park to get up to speed for Old Firm. Yes we have a few injuries, internationals, bans meaning we need to use the squad but no need to panic. I do think a RW would be a good addition though.

I disagree that Rangers can afford to drop points. Celtic have brought in 5 new players and we don't yet know how good they are. We need to stay on top of our game and maintain the points gap this season is so important.
