can anyone say wasted opportunity.

06 Apr 2019 21:34:46
I can say that Deecee. Is it a talking competition? Are there any prizes?

06 Apr 2019 22:21:48
not at ibrox mate-as I said-wasted opportunity and i'm pissed! -least we can do is give them a hiding in a few weeks-that will ease the pain---------a bit.

06 Apr 2019 13:24:57
I deliberately stayed away from posting - decided to count to a million before posting. Probably would have been banned if I had posted my thoughts.

However, Tom English' view of Mad Broonie's, 'get it up you' to the Rangers Fans got the hackles up - how this 'impartial' BBC reporter can say that Mad Broonie's aggressive gesture was aimed at the celtic fans is beyond me?

Anyway, I hope SG continuously shows ALL players a video of last weeks second half to emphasise how he wants them to play - CONTINUOUSLY, THROUGHOUT THE GAME FOR 90 MINUTES!

The players showed what they are capable of and need to build on that excellent performance - with only ten men!

With players coming back to full fitness, loanees also coming back and excellent youth (s) moving up and possible two/ three players coming in, I think we will definitely challenge and possibly win the league next season.

Last Sunday set the bar for us next season; Last Sunday set the bar for the players; Last Sunday set the bar for the momentum; Last Sunday set the bar for Rangers FC!

Aye Ready!

06 Apr 2019 14:08:37
We will need more than two or three👍.

06 Apr 2019 14:33:45
Set the bar? We got beat! This season is done.

The players now need to show in the remaining games who wants to be here and who deserves to be here for next season.

Celtic will need major surgery over the summer and we will have a big chance next season. We need to be ready to take it.

06 Apr 2019 14:47:11
There will be a number of new players for both clubs, it will be down to the club that is more shrewd and efficient in their signings. Gerrard will hopefully have learned a few lessons this season, I agree though a number of players need to prove they still deserve to be here and others who might just need a run if games.

06 Apr 2019 14:52:58
Zikos - did you not see the second half display from 10 man Rangers? The spirit, attitude and commitment they showed is what I want carried through to next season, and as I previously stated, bringing in 2/ 3 quality players should set us up nicely.

Have faith!

06 Apr 2019 15:12:14
True blue you are a dreamer mate, we will need more than 2 or 3 quality players. Oh and we had faith this year, last year and the year before that. We need more than faith. We saw the 2nd half, we need the mentality to see the game out which we clearly lacked👍.

06 Apr 2019 15:50:29
Coldo - you are a pessimist and your glass is always half empty.

06 Apr 2019 16:08:04
By pessimist you mean realist👍.

06 Apr 2019 16:31:25
So being a realist what do expect SG and Rangers to do?

Bearing in mind that you are a realist, you will then not really expect them to go out and spend money they do not have; being a realist you cannot really expect big names to come to Rangers.

06 Apr 2019 17:32:23
Big names in their prime cost the kind of money we don't have. We get big names at the end of their career when we can afford to pay 35/ 36 yrs old 20 or 25 k a week👍. Of course we shouldn't be spending money we don't have, short memory have you? I expect gerrard to be tactically aware and stop spending 2mil on players to sit on the bench. I expect gerrard to drop a diddy when he clearly isn't good enough. I expect gerrard to scout players rather than sign them based on a game against us. I expect gerrard to better in the market. 👍.

06 Apr 2019 18:13:39
I expect every player who signs for us to be brilliant but in the real world that doesn't happen.

I expect players to do what they do in training to do in games, but in the real world that doesn't happen.

I expect every player who plays for us to have the mentality to cope, but in the real world that doesn't happen.

I expect trainee managers like SG to make mistakes, and in the real world they do.

I expect Rangers supporters to get right behind the team, and in the real world most of us do.

06 Apr 2019 18:59:51
True blue, one or two normally fall into your categories above which is realistic but the majority of our players are not good enough or have the mentality to cope. The more fans like you that settle for mediocrity the longer the rest of us have to suffer mediocrity.

06 Apr 2019 19:43:32
Playing for Rangers requires a special and strong mentality, unfortunately most players do not have that - but here's the thing, you do not know that until they play. However, some get better and others crumble - I do not know of any manager anywhere in the world who is aware of who is that player until they play them - some think it is because they are not good enough, but it is just that they are caught in the headlights and are unable to cope.

06 Apr 2019 20:08:08
Who is going to be honest or who wears the blue tinted glasses on. Fact, Celtic have been average this season and have been there for the taking. We could not capitalise so if we were to blame anybody then who would it be? In my eyes we could of won the league, far to inconsistent.
My thoughts are Gerrard chopped and changed and didn't know his best 11. We started of well then all of a sudden he dropped Katic for a poor Warrol. He can't control Morelos, i'm not sure if he knows his best system. I wish Gerrard much success but his tinkering with the team has let him down. We've lost so many mean less points. It could and should of been so much better.

06 Apr 2019 22:21:23
TrueBlue, spot on mate, we are on the march, when we mix it we are great, just need to keep that going, each game, all game.

06 Apr 2019 23:25:59
True blue

Tom English is a known tosser so I wouldn’t let his crap get to you.

07 Apr 2019 09:22:13
proper scouting will tell a manager everything they need to know. As for being on the march, we have won one in our last five, hardly on the march. Anyway let's try and put a run together by doing the business today. davis defoe kamara in from the start.

06 Apr 2019 10:13:48
Having watched defoe have the best part of half a season now, do we think he has what it takes toxt season. For me he has been very good when called upon and has maybe not had a fair crack at it?
I think with alfredo likely heading out the door in the summer we could cope with bringing in another young prospect like morelos at a fee of a 3-4m to replace him with defoe adding depth in that position again as youngsters are rarely consistent.

Think money we get for alfredo could be better spent on a CB to partner Goldson or Katic and more importantly a ball playing midfielder.

06 Apr 2019 10:48:41
Defoe is getting his chance now and for all Gerrard saying the morelos thing is in the past I don't believe it. If Defoe starts to put the ball in the net I doubt Morelos will even get a start before the end of the season and will then be sold. If we secure 2nd I would rather see a youngster brought in for last games than Morelos.

06 Apr 2019 11:07:01
i would think if you wanted to maximise the fee for Morelos then why take him out of the shop window, doesn't make sense. furthermore i am not convinced he will leave this year.

06 Apr 2019 11:07:08
Defoe looks sharper as does davis, hope they both take their chance👍.

06 Apr 2019 11:47:59
Fintyint and what youngster would u bring in for the last games.

06 Apr 2019 13:29:04
Agreed Coldo, they both showing good now.

06 Apr 2019 13:31:58
No doubt Defoe will score goals but will not turn defeats to Celtic and Aberdeen into wins. If he is to be the main goal threat in these games he has to play in a traditional 442. This means we need to get a tried and tested 15 goal a season Target man alongside him to create/ link the play to get us up the park against Celtic and Aberdeen. That big lad at Hearts might fit the bill

Defoe cannot operate as or has never been effective as a lone striker

It is good to see him and Davis turning in some form though.

JBoy it is good to see potential opportunity for Rudden but there is also the other lad Andrew Dallas who looks like a more rounded striker with potential with Rudden an out and out poacher.

Like every year/ preseason, all fans crave that Charlie Miller or Ferguson breakthrough which brings real hope.

06 Apr 2019 14:37:01
If the plan is to sell Morales then he will play the last games, shop window etc, but if SG's plan is to keep and play him next season then he should drop him beyond the four final games if not them all. Just the short sharp shock the young fellow needs.

06 Apr 2019 14:53:42
That would be a a bit of a head f**k wouldn't it? Every man and his dog has him already sold but there is that chance, however thin it may be, that he could stay.
Imagine a world and time where Alfredo Morelos manages to stay calm, not react and just play football, that would be something to behold. 🤯.

06 Apr 2019 19:22:50
Mols, Dallas can't get a game at Morton,

06 Apr 2019 20:38:53
JBoy

I stand corrected. Knew he was on loan but did not realise he was not making an impact. Was only judging on his play for the development Squad previously Won’t give up on the boy just yet.

06 Apr 2019 21:45:04
Mols, no a young lad, but has to deliver to have any chance of getting game with us, least rudden is delivering so far.

06 Apr 2019 22:40:07
Agreed

Just checked and Dallas is 20 this year. Needs to start making an impact.

Just want to say, think we've really improved this season, sadly came up short, however, we're close, keep believing, think our youth teams are our future, hope we keep going the right way, all the best my brothers, let's have a glorious 12th lol, see you in Belfast, ps no bigotry, just celebrate who we are, last thought, we can now compete with Celtic, the best team in the league, see you all next season.

06 Apr 2019 11:07:07
Like it loyalist.
We are getting there, a few wee nips and tucks will make us a better team, I just don’t like all this changing of patterns, we get a pattern that suits the play and it gets changed.
On the 12th, your right “ no bigotry “ just our culture which is being eroded, we must get the moral high grade and keep it both at Ibrox and NI. The jocks and the Billies are cousins?
