Even Keith Jackson has broken the story across tomorrows record -

It’s official Gerrard has agreed a 3 year deal -
And discussions took place in London

03 May 2018 23:46:20
Liverpool Echo reporting SG has shaken hands on 3 year deal.

Welcome SG to the famous Glasgow Rangers

04 May 2018 07:06:07
Jackson will be spewing, he’s been nowhere near this story from the off, one step behind and with a chip on his shoulder. 🤫

03 May 2018 22:48:27
Confirmed in several newspapers

Gerrard singing tomorrow. Police requested to stadium

Welcome to the bears Stevie G

Let’s do this right.

03 May 2018 23:25:40
If he's singing, I hope it's not You'll Never Walk Alone.

03 May 2018 22:45:40
Daily record are saying Gerard has shook hands on a three year deal after being guaranteed a decent transfer budget.

Strong rumours SDM is back in with investors

03 May 2018 23:37:48
I would take him back mate. I never heard anyone complaining at the time when he was spending all the money. He chased the European cup dream for us coming very close in 1999. Craig white saga turned people against him though

04 May 2018 06:12:20
We didn't complain because we thought he was spending his own money. HE gave away the club to Whyte. Of course he's tainted by that

04 May 2018 07:00:10
He is tainted by selling to whyte, but for the tremendous years he gave us i would love to see him back. I think he must be devastsed with what whyte done and he will want to take us back to being the best

04 May 2018 07:21:08
SDM is guilty of either stupidity or deceipt when selling to Craig Whyte but I get annoyed when it is said he did not invest his own money. He did as the money invested was underwritten by his company or the bank. He was still at risk as a business man and if you check at the point the banks insisted he sell he/ MIM were £800m in debt. He financed our success for 20 years.

If people expect him or any other business man to finance Rangers from their own personal wealth then they are being unrealistic.

04 May 2018 07:32:31
I would take Murray in a minute, he knows he owes us.

04 May 2018 08:18:20
Don’t forget guys he took £6 million per year out Rangers as a salary. that it fact. However If he is willing to invest without him being in overall charge of the club I’ll take it.

04 May 2018 09:12:22
If the board want David Murray back in then why not? Can things get any worse? I agree nobody complained when the good times were rolling? but the EBT carry on crippled Rangers more than anything else.

04 May 2018 09:26:44
Sdm gave me the best years of my rangers life and he's got the club at heart i would take him back.
Weve got to get it spot on this time this is our last chance to build and stop ten in a row.

03 May 2018 22:15:58
Hopefully all this anti Gerrard media cover this will spur him on to succeed even more.

03 May 2018 22:08:20
I truly believe that SG will sign on over the week-end. I also believe that there will be true investment in our football club.
I think that a new board will be in place before the next agm, and we will have a solid financial basis to work from.
The infra-structure required for a club of our stature will be put in place, but my only concern is that there will be people actively involved, that are not good for our club.
As much as I love the Glasgow Rangers, I would not be able to accept this, but for those that are quite happy to go along with the changes--- great. The biggest pleasure I will get is watching the manky mob get their rightful place in life, and that is in the grubber.

03 May 2018 22:33:32
Daily rebel stating Gerrard flew into London today from Rome and has signed a three year deal to be announced tomorrow.

03 May 2018 22:38:23
Grow up hh

03 May 2018 22:00:52
Everyone has an opinion on Gerrard now the sheep's boss putting his 2 pence worth in, who gives a toss what him and all the ex Tim's think, scared of what's to come. We welcome the chase. Let's bring on 55.

03 May 2018 21:39:20
Remember fellow bears it's easy to support a winning team, but we have stuck by ours a through this journey.

03 May 2018 21:04:24
So everyone anywhere that has some iffiliation with cfc from players, managers, talk radio hosts and newspaper hacks current and from yesteryear are all queing up to publicly tell Gerrard to back away, don’t take the job, it’s to toxic, you won’t like it! . All that's missing is a 2 page spread in the record and a BBC documentary covering how the kit man at cfc is publishing an open letter to SG to tell him to break off any talks that he is having and go home (although unpublished, he is not happy washing the shorts of players who are shitting themselves at the prospect that they might actually have to perform next season if he indeed sign’s on the dotted line) .
The appointment of our next manager seems to have really got their stained knickers (watch that documentary with their kit man, the bleach just isn't doing it) in a bind. Why the obsession, you would think they should be enjoying their own team at the moment (if I was a cfc player at this time🤮 I would be feeling very unapreciated at the moment considering the recent achievments and still all the fans, the board and all connected are more interested in talking about the GERS) .
So, I would like to ask all the cfc support who will read this (I was going to post on the cfc forum then remembered more of them will see it on here than on there) if you could only follow only ONE club (the rumours, the banter, the news and the games) next season, which one would it be? Just curious.

03 May 2018 22:32:57
lads was reading the easily offended site (first time offender) and Dimalloy is saying they'll be no investment so you've heard from it from the inside man knows more about the famous Glasgow Rangers than he does about the Celtic Football and Athletic Club.

03 May 2018 22:40:33
Can its the champions of coarse hh

03 May 2018 21:04:06
Some of the nonsense and mischief making people like Gordon Dalziel . Mark Wilson. Boyd, Lennon and crew are spouting is shocking but par for course. dalziel should be man enough and stand up like a man ( like he say rangers board and players should do ) and apologise unreservedly to the board and its directors. Rangers did not sack murty like he claims in his twisted version of events . This is infact nothing more than a fabrication and proves once and for all where these people are coming from . keep the faith +ve.

03 May 2018 22:01:07
Relieving him of his duties is sacking him mate

04 May 2018 00:07:44
They relieved him of 1st team duties

04 May 2018 00:40:31
No pal . not when he has been offered the post he originally had, if rangers are still offering to pay him wages he has not been sacked. rangers still have his p45.

04 May 2018 07:25:39
Thank you RTID spot on

04 May 2018 08:06:34
that's a cop out to save paying him off mate they offer him his old job they don't need to pay up his contract. He got sacked just cleverly. Do u really think he will take his old job back?

04 May 2018 09:18:33
If he's clever he will, nobody held a gun to his head when he was asked to become CARETAKER manager.

03 May 2018 17:36:23
not a rumour but my own opinion is gerrard won't come and i really do believe all is not well at rangers. i fear there is no investment coming any time soon. as far as i'm concerned the rangers i knew has gone and we are just another team in a poor scottish league. celtic are miles and miles ahead and with idiots like king there nothing will change. complete tunnel vision from him.

03 May 2018 18:12:16
Smells distinctly like green sh&te. if no see about getting some happy pills

03 May 2018 18:30:36
Jamie if the Rangers you knew have gone you go with them. The Rangers I knew were finishing 5th/ 6th in the mid 80’s with average crowds of 12-14,000. I was there then and I’m still here now regardless. RANGERS THEN, NOW AND FOREVER!

03 May 2018 18:33:12
Real downer Jamie. SG here and talking and must be serious because no resort up here. His presence has demanded finance and seems to be getting it. Don't know his long term plan but there is a sense of optimism to it.

03 May 2018 19:58:10
If Gerrard is announced I'd be very surprised if he didn't get the financial backing he will be demanding. This to me say in my opinion that AJ has finally got the investors from his contacts in America but if it is Ashley the fat fat will end is plain and simple

03 May 2018 19:58:44
LDM17

Well said sir. Two choices either support the team or don’t. While we can all have opinions and be frustrated by our current failures, if we all fold then all the others who want to see Rangers die will win. Support the team

03 May 2018 20:10:53
LDM17 totally agree. Greig, Rangers great couldn't win the league in 5 years. Ferguson and then Jim McLean turned us down. We were then as every fecking ex player is saying now a club in turmoil and no one would touch us. How many rangers supporters thought in the 9 in a row era it would be 15, because Celtic were behind us. It's swings and roundabouts and most guys will know that.

But heres the thing, Gerard would not be here and discussing it openly if there was to be a continuation of the last 2 years. Something is changing, hopefully for the better. If not then DK is great at spinning a tale even to one of Liverpools modern great players.

03 may 2018 20:34:08
jamie 5100! you're like a happiness hoover

03 May 2018 21:02:19
His presence demands finance and he seems to be getting it!?!? 😂😂😂

And can I ask how did you work that one out?

03 May 2018 21:08:11
Yawn Jamie if the Rangers you knew are gone then you must be crappin yourself that they are on their way back just watch us go!

03 May 2018 22:07:05
jamie sit back and watch the rise of the famous from the ashes steve g is a born winner and we will stop your tainted 10 in a row

03 May 2018 22:19:49
His position to succeed needs cash and he wouldn't talk with us if he wasn't getting it. Large picture pretty clear or is yours green?

03 May 2018 22:38:43
Happiness hoover lol 👏 the Jamie 5100. New from the henry range.

03 May 2018 22:44:17
Queens11 tainted 10 in a row short memory ebts side letters your 9 in a row is forever factually tainted hh

03 May 2018 23:16:50
EBTs started after 9 in a row actually 😜😜😜

03 May 2018 23:20:50
The ebts were not in existence during our nine in a row. Know your facts, and man up to a lager tops, SB

03 May 2018 16:35:45
Whats all the hate STILL for DK? seriously I'd like an answer. Ok he got done for dodging tax you only have to look at every time a new dodge gets found out celebs businessman all try dodging tax.
Are we in a HUGELY better position than when he took over? YES. Wheres the money? He mentioned £30m I bet he's about £20m into that already.
Does he have enough cash to invest what we all want NO but some of you posting you would rather have Ashley.

03 May 2018 17:40:18
Bluepete, I’m 100% in agreement with you. Rangers fans are indebted to Dave King and his board. We should be looking at the positives and not focusing on the mistakes that the Board have made. They are Ranger’s fans and putting their money where their their mouths are.

03 May 2018 18:08:51
We're in a better position than we were but that shouldn't mean we can't voice our concerns. The Pedro fiasco, McInnes, poor murty, overdraft facility which turns out to be a loan, statements questioning murty just before old firm game, more soft loans. What's the positives this season? Getting hammered by c*ltic, getting beat 7 times at home? Currently sitting 3rd?

03 May 2018 19:51:16
Blueberry I didn't ask if I was happy with what has happened this year. Apart from us winning 9 out of 10 under Murty and really looking the part and imo should have beaten Celtic, loved the footie we were playing then collapse. I asked about King Been a few of the board who said King had no input on Pedro. So I ask again what's the problem with King. I'd be delighted if somebody with huge finances took over from him (not Ashley though)

03 May 2018 20:00:55
King and co need to be more open with plans and communicate more with the fans

03 May 2018 20:54:22
Let’s put the poor wee Graeme Murty thing to bed. Being a football manager of any club is a very harsh environment to be in. Murty had a fantastic opportunity to come into the role until the end of the season and make a real name for himself. If he had been successful I think most fans would have been more than happy for him to get the role longer term. However he blew it big time.

His substitutions were terrible
Same tactics every week
He didn’t know how to handle the players. Not just Wallace and Miller but Haliday, Holt was captain then dropped, goss was brilliant had a mare against Celtic then never seen again, MOH brought back and never played
Apparently he fell out with Jimmy Nicholl
He oversaw the worst ever record at ibrox
2 humiliations off Celtic

And the press and ex players/ managers come out and slaughter the board.

When it was Pedro they totally humiliated the guy. No one backed him. Now I’m not sticking up for Pedro but the double standards are there for all to see.

Murty blew it and had to go.

03 May 2018 22:12:03
Are you suggesting king puts in at least £20m to the club but has no say in who becomes manager? He's the chairman, he's the man in charge. Why are we still relying on soft loans and secured loans to see out the season? We as season ticket holders should be asking questions

03 May 2018 22:27:02
Just how much did DK put in? Most of investment was soft loans which has left us in hock to god knows who. Other investment was RFC generated money plus how much did we lose getting into bed with fat Mick. Would love to see official figures.

03 May 2018 15:27:57
with this rumoured investment what players do you think the club should move for in the summer if investment goes through.
And do you think we should cash in on these players and if so how much do you think we could get if we sell fod tav windass morelos

03 May 2018 15:51:43
i think we should try and get some big names in on Bosman's like Torres, Yaya is out of contract at the end of this season as well. We would have to pay them a large wage packet but if they are on a free and there is investment then i don't see why not.

03 May 2018 15:54:55
In this day and age all players have a price where we would need to cash in.

Players who should be kept or loans kept unless ridiculous money IMO:

Tav, McCrorie, John, Jack, Dorrans, Rossiter (just to see if Gerrard can get something out of him), Holt, Docherty, Candeias, Cummings, Murphy.

Players we can do without and could get cash:

Foderingham, Alnwick, Cardoso, Wallace, Windass (not for buttons tho), Morelos (again for a decent amount only) .

Players who need to leave: Hodson, Alves, Halliday, Goss, Forrester, MOH, Pena, Herrera, Miller.

03 May 2018 16:07:05
Murphy, Cummings, Holt and Dorrans have proved they're not good enough, Rossiter is too injury prone and before anyone says Cummings hasn't had a chance, do you really believe he's the answer?

03 May 2018 17:22:41
Yaya and torres come on mate let's think a little bit smaller names

03 May 2018 17:52:20
they are only 4 and 6 letters long though?

03 May 2018 17:56:12
Blue genius i probaly would keep the same players u menioned plus cardoso and dodoo like to see them get a chance the rest can go.
This torres rumour seems to be going around a lot you never no toure that probaly a non starter tho.
I think we should be able to sell fod for at least 2 mill and up wards tavenier an windass 3 mill and upwards morelos at least 5 mill for him that would give us 13 million at least for 4 players that am sure the new manager would be gratful if he could add this to his budget.

03 May 2018 19:55:01
Do fellow fans think we would be able to attract kenneth omeruo an cameron carter vickers as our cbs next season both good players and don't get much chance at both there clubs.
Also should look at geting flanagan in on loan at rb to replace tav.
i think hyndman would also flourish under gerrard if we could get him
Nakkie wells would be a good replacment for morelos he is strugling to get a game for burnley so could be a good move and joel cambell from arsenal would be a good player to get aswell.
These players would certainly improve our team and could be available for reasonable sums of money.

03 May 2018 20:06:08
I hope it's going big pads we haven't heard of b because big names are all flapping up here alves niko etc all the best players have come from nowhere in the past Bartley bougy called etc i don't want old big names and we can't afford big names of their young stop dreaming.

03 May 2018 20:37:02
Ya ya toure honest to god man pure delusional he's on 200,000 a week

03 May 2018 20:57:41
Torres well end up way Goss and the rest of the Dross how can we afford any good players man were in trouble again skinto 😢

03 May 2018 13:59:31
With all the uncertainty at present regarding investment and transfer funding I fear Gerard will reject the job offer. I hope i am completely wrong as I feel he could bring a lot to the club. I have a bad feeling especially as more time passes by. This would leave us in a worse situation as anyone then offered the job would know their not first choice. i just hope we can get this over the line very soon and he can quickly start the massive challenge ahead of him

03 May 2018 15:04:34
I am confident the deal is done Stevie and already working on ins and outs. He might be next Pep or as we keep getting told Barnes but I for one think it is a good signing and will drive us towards Celtic as I don’t believe we are as far behind as numerous pundits and media love to tell us

03 May 2018 15:43:13
I don't think a professional manager would be too fussed about not being first choice. If he fancies the job he would be more than happy to take it. I would love the big ticket name of Gerrard as it would give us all the boost we need, but if it's not to be him, and there IS money for a new man to rebuild our squad, then it's still all good. Let's put it this way, with respect, if it were Stevie Clark or Alec Mcliesh etc etc we were chasing, it would be a safe bet to assume our player budget "war chest" would be £5 mill or so AFTER selling half the squad! Chasing Gerrard to me, means there is decent cash to spend this Summer

03 May 2018 15:56:13
From my understanding the deal is pretty much done. i'm excited about the future. Stevie G is a big name in football and i'm sure he will look at his ties to Liverpool and England to bring in some good talent, a few shock signings in the summer i'm thinking.

03 May 2018 20:08:21
It is uncertain to u and me but I doubt for one second king and co are are in the same boat Gerrard will have his assurances i believe keep calm follow on.

03 May 2018 22:31:02
The thing I love most is this perception that with Gerrard a great player looking for his first test as a manager (be raging if my team took this chance at this stage) . Comes this immediate acceptance and fantasy of investment. But at the same time you talk about Stevie Clark. A manager that has managed and done okay/ very well on the big stage as well as working magic in this very league (I'm sure Kille had 2 points out possible 18 when he took over) and a manager you would never get if you wanted. But with the mention of a big name (as a player) everything goes out the window and in a matter of days after the most humbling TWO results in OF history. The tims are shiteing themselves. Was same with Barton, Alves, Dorrans, Murphy as players. You'll really never learn

03 May 2018 12:41:25
Just been reading an interview with James McArthur and he said he was very happy Gerrard was possibly going to be the new gaffer. He also said he couldn't imagine a player who wouldn't want to play for him! Possibly a wee hint there! I would definitely take him on a free.

03 May 2018 13:42:26
Just read an article online saying that McArthur has told a Crystal Palace fanzine that he still has 2 years on his contract.

03 May 2018 11:23:29
In my humble opinion the way every other ex Celtic player and anyone related to them rant on about this massive gap between the two is crap because rangers and just about every other team in the Scottish leagues have made Celtic look good they are by no manner of means that good either, put them up against one half decent team and there shown up every time, as for them trying to put Gerrard off or sway his decision has clearly got them rattled because they know that they will soon be toppled from there perch by a good team, how the mighty will fall and I for one will be laughing . Just an opinion from me.

03 May 2018 11:57:24
tom

cudnae care less what these jokers are saying

03 May 2018 23:02:08
The fact Tom that you're team has made Celtic look better than any team in this league should be your main concern IMO.

And as for SG. It wasn't that long ago youz were wearing bread wrappers on your heads! Fill yer boots

03 May 2018 11:23:07
Guys 1st time I've commented, in relation to the negative chat regarding no money etc. On the flip side Clyde1 last nyt mark G has a source saying their will be investment coming soon, either way we'll need to deal with what we have and be positive and back the team 1st things 1st need strong leadership skills from our manager and build from their 👍🏼🔴⚪️🔵

03 May 2018 13:04:58
The same source that told him Stevie gee would be announced on Monday gone by

03 May 2018 11:09:06
Where does all this investment nonsense come from 6 years it's the sane stuff it's all about getting season tickets sold wake up who is going to throw money at a sinking ship

03 May 2018 12:24:58
Ill throw money at it, no matter what ill be there

03 May 2018 16:00:32
Been throwing money at it one way or another for years, no point stopping now.

03 May 2018 10:03:55
Lots of rumours about new investment which we all hope happens. Also rumours if this happens King will step aside when these new investors come in. What I can't get my head Around is that after trying hopefully successfully to entice Steven Gerrard to Rangers King will be saying but by the way Steven when you start the job I won't be there.
So new investment and Steven Gerrard at Rangers I think are more probable than King not being involved anymore with Rangers. For the time being anyway.

03 May 2018 08:38:19
I think most of the rangers fans on here are deluded if they think some American or Asian investor is going to come in and just plough millions and millions of pounds into a club that currently does not have a manager.

03 May 2018 09:07:08
Well if they do you will look a bit stupid. let's wait and see

03 May 2018 09:30:13
There’s definitely something happening, if it is true then it looks like a complete takeover all together with the amount of money people are talking about and board members leaving or resigning, hopefully something come out in the next few days or so

03 May 2018 10:00:06
Albertz mols de boer moore amo souness smith gio rino etc etc etc all chipped in they want there club back

03 May 2018 10:59:24
Theres something happening. I think king was hoping it would be completed by now so he hasn't bothered sorting the offer for the other shares.

now with 2 directors walking

its either disaster or investment. who knows

03 May 2018 12:05:10
Hearing the investment will be coming from that guy sarver from the states who wanted to buy us before

03 May 2018 12:28:45
TheBear82 - That would make sense as Robert Sarver has sold the Phoenix Suns recently.

03 May 2018 07:05:25
Lads we need to get real on here it's no wonder folk call us the gullibles and laugh at us. That's this week I've saw 50 million investing, Gerrard getting 25-30 million to spend on players and us signing torres sturridge ings and wayne rooney. I ken folk are excited but let's at least be realistic and not think we're getting guys who will be on 100 grand a week ito just more ammunition anyone who thinks we can get rooney or sturridge to sign needs there head looked at.

03 May 2018 07:39:49
I agree mate people need to settle down. Did I imagine what we have been through the past few years. Investors invest in business' capable of seeing good returns. Ask yourself this. If you had loads of cash on the hip, would you invest in Scottish football? that's the reality.

03 May 2018 08:04:02
I don't know what to believe about investment but you only have to look at the dark side to see if you invested in rangers to take over Celtic then you could make the same money as them. Who would the new investors be? Would they have the ability to push rangers brand in there country/ country's? And they won't necessarily be investing in Scottish football but in rangers will rangers be in Scottish football in the next 10,15,20 yrs? I think there's a sound investment in rangers if done properly, is gerrard the start of the brand push? I don't know the answers but I think there interesting questions

03 May 2018 10:20:37
Celtic have been raking it in over the past 6 years with minimal spend (there manager excluded) so please explain why investing in Rangers is a bad idea. All we need is to have investors that won't flinch at the initial outlay that is required to put us back on top or to at least to make us level with Celtic.

Review Of The Day 3rd May 2018

03 May 2018 07:04:59
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 3rd May 2018

02 May 2018 22:31:52
Anybody heard that Brazil on talk sport getting every man and his dog to say why SG shouldn't be Rangers manager along with strachan o'neil hartson lennon sutton to name a few. We smell your fear but not your deodorant. GSTQ 🇬🇧

03 May 2018 07:33:01
Brazil hates our club with a passion and says it on air at every opportunity! Can you imagine if One of or own was doing the same thing! #UPROAR!
