Good news John, not that I know much of the lad but if the management team think he fits the system then that’s good enough for me.

I'd hate the boy to go to celtic and become a goal machine in a few years time knowing that he came from our youth system and that we had the chance to sign him at 16 but didn't because we wouldn't match celtic financial offer.

Young Wilson can look forward to the possibility of huge earnings over the next 15-20 years IF he continues to progress and IF he makes it into the first team at a big club. If he chooses to sign for them aged 16 merely for money, it's his potential loss.

Tavson, he might look at it a different way and think he has a better chance to break through to first team at celtic, as much as I hate to say it they seem to be more willing to play young players. Hopefully the boy goes all the way and hopefully it is with us.

John25 i’m from Maybole and can confirm that has connected family are all big Rangers fans, don’t know about the lad himself and his immediate family though. Although, as we’ve seen with Greg Taylor and Calum McGregor in recent times the club you supported as a boy means nothing. From what i’ve heard we haven’t offered anything near any of the other interested parties and if that’s keeping within our wage structure then fair enough. Any youth player is a risk as they’re unproven at senior level and could get injured at any minute, in business terms it’s a punt.
