Guys go watch Rangers 72 and then come back and have a go at last years squad of players who were a penalty kick away from from being immortal. I know it's close season and fans want glamour signings, but some of the bs comments getting flung at our players and management is shocking, if Gio thinks Greegs is good enough for another years contract then Fn back his decision. Memories are short for too many in here.

I agree with you Scotty123 as i trust our management team and we have to be patient as we undoubtedly will sign players ?We can all have our opinions on what/ who our management keep and sign but at the end of the day i trust their judgement and what they're doing ???.

How do you know Gio wanted him for another year? Do you know that Gio had a choice or was he told there’s no money so it’s McGregor or a kid? I’ve no concerns with McGregor staying if it’s for the European squad, I just don’t see him playing week in or week out.

Well said Scotty 123. I watched the 1972 Cup Winners' Cup final and what a great team that was. This year's Europa League run and final were also great. 1-0 up in the final then to lose by a single penalty was cruel. The team did superbly well and if we can retain the nucleus of that team this season, with a tweak or two in and out, then we'll do just fine again this season. I'd make McLaughlin the no.1 keeper and use McGregor for the European matches and Scottish Cup.

That's the problem John, it is because of McGregor's age and experience I've suggested that. In effect he is a joint no.1. He won't be able to play every league game, week in, week out at his age.

Most of you thought we didn't need to strengthen after winning 55 either snd we're on giving it we would win league by 25 points etc, only a few called for caution and said we needed quality starting 11 additions. Look what happened last season. Celtic will get stronger again and we should be adding at least 3 or 4 quality first 11 players to be ready for the challenge ahead. Davis arfield and mcgregor won't win us back the title its time to refresh the squad while we are attractive to players, we have just played in a European final and people want kipre etc ?.

ah okay Barrowland I get it and just to confirm, what happens if he came out and said he didn't want him? Any idea's of the knock on effective? Have you man managed people before, how would you manage a situation that involves a decision taken out with your hands? I doubt you'll ever see any manager coming out and saying I didn't want him. I reckon you'd be gone before the end of that week if you did.

That would be my concern Storm. I'm just hoping that Gio has identified other positions that need strengthening more and that he has names in mind that we can bring in. We have been in need of a quality right winger for a number of years, we definitely need a quality back up striker and I would suggest that we also could do with another centre back. Every player we sign should be capable of walking straight into the Team, too many players signed in the last couple of transfer windows are no more than squad players.
