Anybody getting a bit worried about the players we are getting linked with? It seems like they ain't as good as the players we have just now.

Well, we're being linked with skov olsen and Doekhi. Are you saying they're not good enough? I would say both are an instant upgrade on what we have just now. Also, I would say that Souttar (If he stays fit), is on a par with Balogun, and certainly better than Simpson. We still have 3 weeks left, and it's not as If we need an overhaul to win the league. As long as we don't lose any of our main players, and we add another one or two who can challenge straight away, we must be happy with that!

Not worried sweep - - I don't expect any first team signings this month, benchwarmers on loan, and you never know a Bosman?
Lots of speculation which is fine - but realism needs to kick in with some.

Olsen is a pipe dream be truthful with yourself. We seem to be linked with out of contract players, the cheap way imo. If we plan to replace our 1st team players with pre contracts we will suffer big time. Again my opinion.

Bassey was an unknown and written off by many after the disastrous performance in the cup defeat to St Mirren - now holding his own at CH.
Wright was relatively unknown and untested coming from Aberdeen. After a bright start, mainly as a sub under Gerrard, he faded away. Now coming good under Gio last few games as he has developed an end product.
It's all swings and roundabouts.
I don't think many of us on here have a brilliant footballing knowledge of every player we are linked to.
We tend to have more of an opinion on players we know / have seen.
And I'm sure Wilson etc will have scouted them plenty to see if they fit into our playing system.

But you're original post stated "players we're being linked with"! We're still being linked with him. 🤣🤣 To be fair, I do think that it is beginning to look like that with Olsen, but we'll see by the 1st of Feb. There's still plenty of time, so I'm not stressing.

We'll all know where we stand on the 1st of February. Hopefully we don't lose any of the 1st team squad and add a couple. If Gio keeps the momentum going then I have no worries.

I think Souter is a good defender, used to the Scottish game and would be a good signing. He has had injuries but remember Golson had a serious heart condition and never misses a game. If GVB thinks he is good enough then that's enough for me.
