John25,i don't know if you have heard this but i posted on here in august when everton were trying to sign nathan patterson, that if everton had met rangers valuation and signed patterson, ross wilson had earmarked aberdeen young right back calvin ramsey as patterson's replacement🤔I was told this mate and ramsey is a good, young right back, as i'm sure you'll know mate.

I was thinking, if we do sell Patterson then I think young Ramsey from Aberdeen would be a good player to bring in. Similar in style and I'm sure he would fit the home grown category for Europe. Any thoughts?

Sorry bud, it was my understanding that they had to have been developed in Scotland to be classed as home grown players. I didn't realise they had to have specifically been brought through our academy.

Just looked it up there, players to be classified as home grown must have spent 3 years with the club between the ages of 15 and 21.

Regardless of patterson being academy player or not i still wouldn't sell him he's our future number one right back, if we want to raise money I'd sell other players before him, we should not be selling our top players unless they want to go.

If we can get £15m for a player who is bit part in the side we would need to bite the hand imo. Easily replaced for a couple of million (Cover full back) .

Got to say if any club comes in with £15m or more for Patterson I would sell him. He isn't featuring enough in the 1st team and it'd likely that Tav will be 1st choice for a few seasons to come so for me, yip I'd sell him.
