I read an article this morning that with our injuries in midfield to both ryan jack and scotty arfield, that our now 36 year old central midfielder steven davis, is getting over used and i do myself agree with this statement 🤔
At davo's age he requires most definitely game management, to keep him fresh and get the best out of him, which has been achieved superbly with steven gerrard, up 'till now 🤔
This leads me on to my thinking of most definitely bringing in lundstrum this month, as he will/ can be the longterm replacement for wee davo 🤔 What do we think fellow bears,
do you guys agree with myself, that lundstrum is the natural/ longterm replacement for steven davis and if not with what you know is currently out there and gettable, who would you want rangers to sign,
as davis's longterm replacement 🤔.

Personaly think zungu was meant to be the man to fill Davis role as zungus range of passing was meant to be brilliant but not seen much if it yet. is lundstrum not more suited to Scott arfield role. I did hear that there wanting 5 million for lundstrum now but who knows if its true.

We do need to sign a CM but I think we probably need to offload some players first. Hopefully the likes of Jones, Barker and Stewart can be moved on. Anyone we sign needs to be an improvement on what we have and capable of starting straight away.

Never seen Lundstram play. Surely it's time for one of our academy players to break through. Great things are being said about it but where's the proof?

Morelos may be well off form but he's still our best all round CF. Anyway he won't be leaving until his value (whatever that is) is met.

yes we are a little short just now in middle of park but has it come at a decent time? With no midweek game this past week and the next 2 weeks i think Davis and co will be ok. if we had midweek games, europe etc just now i would definitely say short but i feel we can cope.

SGL watched lundstram a few times last season and he’s more of a Arfield type player bursts into the box at the right moments, now John Fleck would be an outstanding replacement for Steven Davis but we probably wouldn’t be able to afford him sadly.

Wee Fleck wasn't great first time, though his game time was limited. He hasn't half improved and would be a great signing.

Zungu will be fine with Kamara or Davis or both beside him.
He only looked bad in the midfield against St Mirren in the cup when he had Arfield and Aribo beside him.
Plus the full team were terrible that game.

Got caught on ball v hibs and v Tim's near edge of our own box as well and could have cost goals mph, needs to realise fast he's not in France and in league games here you don't get 3 or 4 touches to get ball under control.
