Sorry for making your mouths water bears but I've just had a bowl of soup that was that good i had another one. Is homemade soup one of the best things ever on a cold dreich day in the winter. I made this pot yesterday and left it for a day and looking forward to eating the rest over the coming days as soup just gets better with age. Lentil, carrots, onions, yellow split peas and a ham hock which has been stripped with lots of pieces of ham through it and its that thick your spoon just rests on top. Lentil soup in my opinion is the daddy of all soups.
Whats your favourite soup? electric soup doesn't count by the way.

A tramp went to the kitchen back door of a restaurant and asked if they had any food. The chef said, do you like second day soup? The tramp said yes. The chef said, well come back tomorrow!

Batters chicken broth or Royal game.
But when my wee my was alive hers was the best, remember when we were kids she'd send us to the butcher to ask for a bone for the dog we never had a dog it got plopped into the soup with the celery barley and the rest, it was simply the best ☺. No Croutons.

Memories of my mum with an old pressure cooker, a ham hock, loads of veg and a crispy roll. I wouldn't go near Baxters soup folks.

My mum used to have to hide her tattie soup in a giant pot under the bed as me and my dad could never resist it. It was incredible, no other word to describe it.

Cheers spud junior.

My mum has literally just dropped me off a big tub of home made tattie soup, definitely must be the weather making everybody turn to the soup making. Just for a big bowl before my nightshift with some tiger bread, yum.

Lentil with ham through it but…you need crusty bread with a thick layer of lurpak on it!
