Ulsterman, as you've probably read my posts on here how highly STILL, i rate steven davis mate. The deep lying midfield role suits him now,
especially as he's getting on in years. Some of our supporters were far too quick as usual, to judge a thoroughbred like davo, before giving the guy a chance to regain his match fitness, due to a severe lack of games, at southampton. Players ain't robots.

I think Davis is a good player and he played very well against the sheep. He's not as good as he was first time around but can certainly still do a job for us.

Coop do you not think that you have a brass neck to have a dig at others opinion's when 99.9% of the time you talk pure p1$h on here. I do agree that davis is looking great and I think him kamara and defoe are a big part of the reason that we are playing really well just now but you having a dig at others opinions is cheap mate👍.

Yeah jboy, he's going on about how the deep lying role suits davis which is true, the role does suit him but when he signed in january coop told us all that he was the number 10 we craved and that he knew best. When davis played in an advanced role against killie at rugby park you could clearly see that he wasn't that type of player anymore and most fans knew this. Coop has now changed his opinion on davis best position and is still trying to play the "I told you so" card. 🙈👍.

Coldo, i'm big and honest enough to admit i did see steven davis playing in the no.10 role, like he was capable of the last time. But having watched davo gradually regain his match fitness, i now see and recognise for myself, that at his age now and with his legs not quite What they were, that the deep lying playmaker rule suits him now. that's all i was meaning. Its all about debates and opinions and of course we'll disagree from time to time.
Try not to continually have a go on everything i say mate. You continually pick up on every single little thing my friend. Stop going through life like that. I got banned on here for being abusive as the ED put it, to folk like yourself. I have came back with a more laid back attitude and still you have a go. I hope the ED'S recognising this, as i'm biting my tongue here. Give it a rest mate!

Coop I made the point that you had a go a people's opinions again, when infact you were wrong. When you stop putting down the opinion of others and acting all high and mighty then people will stop highlighting all your flaws. Don't play the victim card either mate as you bring it on yourself👍.

I think Morelos needs to work hard in training and wait patiently for an opportunity. In all honesty I think he’s played his last game for us.

Tilla die, I agree with your comments, last four games 11 goals scored and 1 against. Aberdeen never looked like a threat today and if they never had such a good goalie there would have been more goals for us. With the way the team have adapted play wise without Alfie, I don't think Gerrard can afford to stop the current momentum by putting him straight back in. Probably the bench for him at the moment. We've actually played more as a team since the second half against them, when we outplayed them with ten men.

Yet again we played well against them today and if it wasn't for their keeper, we would have hammered them. Full team played well and big katic won everything again cosgrove today. Baffled though by the sponsors choice of connor goldson as the motm. My motm was steven davis, who was imnense today and was our deep lying playmaker, playing just in front of our centre halfs. He never wasted a pass and was pulling the strings for us. Like I said at the start, all our players played well,
but for me davo was the best player on the pitch and is now showing, how much of a quality midfielder he still is, at the tender age of 34 years old. He's now match fit and far too many of our supporters, were too quick in judging davis, when he was nowhere near match fit. Has to get a 1 year deal for me.

I'm agreeing with you a lot the now coops lol. I was also raving about Davis to all around me, thot he was fantastic it was easily his best game since he came back. Probed and pulled the strings all day today.

steve davis has come onto a game recently, my only moan about him was we signed him in January and its taken till into April to see the best of him. Thought we missed morelos today.

I wasn't at the game today due to a family get together. First of all well done Rangers for a great 3 points but my post is about Andy Walkers commentary. He actually never had a positive word to say about Rangers. For example he said Katic made the most of it regarding the first penalty then said the 2nd wasnt a penalty. The guy is an embarrassment. Did anyone else notice this?

Good possession football today, I feel the defense is so much better with katic back, always felt Worrall was an accident waiting to happen, forest are welcome to him, I hope sg keeps with same eleven for remaining games, I don't want Morelos back, we are more of a team without him.

In terms of us buying all the best young talent from around our league, I would love us to target young Lewis Ferguson from Aberdeen. 19 and can already handle himself well and will only get better! Even if we bought him and lined him back for next year for another year of development like Celtic did with Christie!

Right lads what's yer take on the enigma that is borna barasic? No point askin bout grezda , been sold a dud there imo. anyways back to barasic. This guy infuriates me and I guess a good few of yous. seems to have all the talent and an elderwand of a left peg but his attitude and heart are continually called into question. my take on it is that some players, irrelevant of their talent just don't fit at certain clubs. here he will be expected to win consistently and perform consistently even play through injuries to help his teammates, it's time to realize its an honour and privelage to play for our club. we need winners with that winning mentality, roll the sleeves up n get tore in when the chips are down n if we're going down then go down swinging. has barasic got this? I just don't know! Problem is I think we all know that if we get rid in the summer he's going to end up a superstar somewhere . the enigma that is Borna Barasic.

Gersdaft. Have to agree with you. Just like the boy ejaria barisic can’t handle the physical side of the Scottish game. There is obviously a player there worth giving another season to see if he will get to grips with our game. As u say he will leave and end up playing at the highest level as u don’t get picked to play for World Cup finalists if u not any good hence why we should give him another season.

I think we’d regret getting rid of him, he just needs to find his feet within a new league. I really hope with a good preseason under his belt we’ll having a very good player.

Yep good player playing at world cups, but sometimes a league or the standard of players your playing with or against don't suit your style. Moreles is a good player but comes up against limited ability Centre Half's who want to kick and dig. He can't handle that. Another example would be player playing for a top domestic team but for a low profile international team. When you look for the run or the pass they don't do it.

So if not suited move on. Sorry but in a lot games, Haliday has been a better option.

Windy think Flanagan on the performances in last few games is as good and option as Halliday but going forward if not giving Barasic chance need to get better than Halliday and Flanagan.

Want to know what I like. I like how SG is building a squad with an identity.

First off we we have a solid core or British players who are physically made for the Scottish game. I don’t just mean big bruisers, we have have solid CBS, box to box midfielders, nippy wingers, bully boys up front etc
Secondly we seem to be bringing more British players in who understand how big our club really is (Hastie, Jones, Stewart) .

I like to see the Glasgow Rangers with a majority British squad with some international quality. Katic, Kamara, Morelos Candeias etc

Just before I wet the bed I do think there is a bit of dead wood kicking about, Grezda, Lafferty, Wallace and if we manage to shift them it not only frees up wages but send a message if your not performing you will be punted.

Barasic for me is a funny one, sometimes I’ve watched him he’s been fantastic, other games he’s been worse than a man short. I’d keep him for another year and hopefully he will see he can’t show up for half a season. The thing in his favour is when he is in the squad and playing well the team is balanced and his deliveries can be lethal,

Any way I’m excited to see who else comes in, hopefully some real quality that can push us on! Let’s go!

No not in a million years would I class moreLos as a bully striker. That's not a dig I love the wee man, but to me a bully striker is a Hatley, Andy Carroll type. MoreLos can use his body well, but so can wee aguero and he's hardly a bully. I've been disappointed with our wingers this year to be honest, think it's been our weakest part, not enough goals been chipped in mate. Middleton is too one dimensional at moment. Candeias I struggle to criticise as love his work rate but being honest going forward we need better. Even Kent although I love watching him, hasn't contributed enough goals and assists. Six goals for a winger in a team that has as much possession as us is not good enough.
