When Joey Barton signed I was very disappointed because I think Rangers players; past, present and future need to have personal and professional standards that are high and I felt - and still feel - that his historical behaviour did not belong at Ibrox.

Having watched his press conference in full, again, I have to say that - whilst I still have reservations - if he performs on the pitch as he does at in front of the media he could be a great player for us. I just hope he keeps his head and plays his game on the pitch. He doesn't need to prove how much he loves Rangers by getting sent off against Celtic.

20 Jun 2016 23:41:12
Good post OP. I really hope he's not just here to be in the media spotlight at a huge club and promote himself as a loudmouthed media figure.

20 Jun 2016 22:43:51
What about when gazza signed, did you feel the same or did u put that to the back of your mind because of his abilities. you don't always get the perfect footballer on and off the pitch mate. there's always things that people don't like about people, nobody is perfect.

I'm really glad we signed Barton. whatever his past, he's grown up and moved on. the fact he got in the championship team of the year says it all. that's one of the hardest leagues to play in. I'm not saying the best, but hardest. he's quality and will bring a lot to our team on the field and off it especially with the media. he won't back down from no. 1 especially the other side getting sent off doesn't prove nothing to me in an old firm game.

I'd rather we won the game as winning is the single most important thing we win trophies we win cups. I believe he's here for the right reasons, I just hope he proves it when he pulls the jersey on his back winning against Dundee is just as important. we want to win every game. he's got more passion in his big toe than broonys got in his whole body. can't wait till the beginning of a great season.

21 Jun 2016 09:58:17
Bruised Bear. Good post. This has always been my take on the Barton transfer. Good player - yes, no doubt about it (though nowhere near Gazza imo) , but I think the media circus up here along with the haters will constantly try to mess with his head, hoping for a reaction. If he does react, especially in an OF match, the baw would be well and truly burst. He really needs to shut his trap and do his talking on the pitch. Only then will he gain the respect of our support and it will show the rest that their tactics will not work. Would love to see him make his mark for the right reasons, though I have serious doubts as to whether or not he is capable of a little restraint from time to time.

21 Jun 2016 12:01:19
Barton is the catalyst for all these other players joining, he has put us back on the Footballing map. As for his quality, he will be the best player in the league by a country mile, of that I have no doubt. The English Championship is full of expensive signings and yet he was the man there last year. We also have the squad to fill in for him should he find himself suspended/ injured at any point although I honestly think that side of him has mellowed.

21 Jun 2016 13:53:35
Humey, when Gazza signed for Rangers it was 1995 and I was under 30. At that point I cared less about honour and integrity and the true meaning to me of Rangers. I'm older now, these aspects are more important to me and I want Rangers to be exemplary off and on the pitch.

I accept no-one is perfect but there are degrees of imperfection. Additionally, Gazza was world class, Barton isn't; Gazza was a bit of an idiot, Barton is/ was a thug. An intelligent and articulate one though.

In 1995, it wasn't common knowledge that Gazza hit his wife so I couldn't be morally outraged by what I didn't know.

On a similar topic, I don't understand those who wholeheartedly accept Barton's signing but slate those who reckon Jason Cummings should sign, just because he's done some silly stuff. Whatever Jason Cummings has done - it doesn't come close to Barton's misdemeanours.

20 Jun 2016 21:52:15
Wee Vladimir got about 60 mins moreb5han I would've given him. Looked lost.

20 Jun 2016 22:32:49
There was a moment when Dier made it look like he was taking the ball off a kid who ran on the park.

21 Jun 2016 09:36:13
Love that he's Rangers family but he's not that good to be honest. I don't think he'd get in our team anyway. Wasted his talent going to a mug league!

21 Jun 2016 09:54:25
You kidding? He is far better than any player in Scotland a bad game against England but last game was amazing.

20 Jun 2016 21:42:10
Some great summer business so far and more to follow. I'm very impressed with warbs and weirs ability to get good links also mcparland must have a lot to do with that.

Anyone think that Weiss would be a great addition to finish our squad off for this summer? Said he'd love to come back. he's 26!

20 Jun 2016 23:16:01
Doubt we could affford him. we could bring back aluko for free though.

21 Jun 2016 01:17:23
To be fair after watching him against England I would leave him in the middle East didn't do anything in my opinion to show he would advance the rangers squad enough to justify the money that's been talked about needed to buy him I know it was only one game but good players shine and he didn't from what I seen.

21 Jun 2016 08:01:25
I agree was totally lost I will stick with wee Barry for the moment.

20 Jun 2016 21:07:21
Will be good to see Barton and Rossiter seeing they support opposite sides of the Liverpool and Everton Derby.

I imagine there will be some light hearted banter made from it.

20 Jun 2016 22:54:59
They support the same side.

20 Jun 2016 23:38:31
Both Everton fans rossiter a family all season ticket holder at everton.

21 Jun 2016 11:25:25
My bad, thought Rossiter was a Liverpool fan as he's been through the youth system since a young age.

Still both Liverpudlians so will have something in common.

20 Jun 2016 19:52:53
(Assuming Krakjar signs) .

I'd be happy with an experienced keeper, a Centre half (Marriappa) and a striker (preferably something we don't have like a big lad that'll put in a shift and rough up defenders) .

Ps

I can't help but think that DWMW have an ace up their sleeve, maybe from the loan mkt.

Here's hoping, but well be there.

20 Jun 2016 19:41:23
See resolution 12 kicked into touch once an for all. According to record. What wiz that awe about. Bangers.

20 Jun 2016 21:04:16
It should be put to bed however the Obsessed With All Things Rangers Brigade from across the city will not accept what anyone, including EUFA, says. It's just a great big conspiracy in which all football authorities, the rest of the world, ET and his pals have all concocted to mask the truth. 😉.

20 Jun 2016 22:55:00
The main focal point was about the SFA and there Governance of our game. They're not fit for purpose. You also will notice UEFA stated RFC went into Admin and eventually Liquidated and joined Scotland's Lowest Tier. Not Relegated, Not kicked down which is the mantra!

20 Jun 2016 23:36:45
Hugh jarse we only need to think back to them reporting us to asa to realise there hatred of us, plus the ebt legal stuff, plus the side letter stuff that they themself used ime led to believe, though they done there's through dsome spoof film company that they invested money in.

21 Jun 2016 10:12:00
Some guy from the dark side invaded twitter with moans about how the affair had cost him a grand and how he thought the Tim shareholders should now be approaching FIFA. I bet the UEFA hierarchy has never seen or heard anything like this morbid obsession of one club against another. Worse, their final damming statement put this sad episode to bed once and for all and also served to cement the fact that as far as they were concerned, Rangers is the same club as it always was. You couldn't make it up! Plainly put, I took the statement to read that the Scottish football authorities had dealt harshly enough with our club, "demoting" it (yes, timmy, that's right - demoting) to the bottom tier. And you want us to punish this club even further? But why? Why?
Because they are obsessed with all things Rangers. They want to have more titles and trophies than us but know deep down in their black hearts that they will never have. And it churns them up inside.

20 Jun 2016 18:54:40
I think we should be giving ryan hardie a chance this lad can score goals and could be the surprise package throughout the season.

20 Jun 2016 20:43:53
Absolutely, boy deserves a chance and if he gets one I think he could become a top striker.

20 Jun 2016 22:12:20
Don't think any fan on here isn't confident Hardie could do a job this year. Would be good to see MW give him his chance.

20 Jun 2016 18:47:23
I must say i'm really chuffed with the way the teams taking shape so far, and business ain't done yet! Happy days, just need a coupke of defenders, ie full backs and a striker, oh and keeper and we're sorted.

20 Jun 2016 18:39:42
So it appears Vaughan is a Birmingham
Player and not a Huddersfield player
And has a contract till 2017 and has Not
Been given permission to talk.

{Ed039's Note - I can assure you Vaughan is a Huddersfield player until his contract expires on 30th June, he is free to talk to any club he wishes, he was on loan at Birmingham and has not contract with them)

20 Jun 2016 19:35:18
Didn't Vaughan not sign a pre contract with Birmingham until 2017?

19 Jun 2016 12:48:01
Has any1 heard what's happening with the boy Knox? Ed?

{Ed039's Note - I haven't heard anything further, there was an offer made but rejected outright by Livingston)

20 Jun 2016 22:24:49
I heard from a lad that spoke to his dad that the deal is still going to happen. £75k was mentioned. That's the word from East Lothian.

20 Jun 2016 18:12:26
All we need now is another defender, a decent striker and to tie warbs and weir down long term and it's been an outstanding summer in terms of business!

20 Jun 2016 17:30:58
Wallace has extended contract until May 2019. Good news!

20 Jun 2016 17:58:45
Fantastic news every bit as good as any new signing.

20 Jun 2016 17:19:29
So today Rangers have signed lee Wallace until 2019 great news. Also compensation for crooks and windass been agreed and apparently according to bbc Kranjcar coming for medical on Wednesday. Not a bad day considering. To top it off WEISS to score against the ENGLISH.

20 Jun 2016 17:26:09
To top it weiss signing would be better him on the right Mackay on the left waggy through the middle Kranjcar, barton and Holt in midfield I'd say we would look pretty impressive.

20 Jun 2016 18:12:32
As much as I'd love to see Weiss come back I'm sure he's contracted to Al-Gharafa Until 2020 and valued at roughly 2.5 million and I'm guessing his wages are round 35-40k a week.

20 Jun 2016 17:11:25
Great news Wallace signs new contract till 2019.

20 Jun 2016 16:47:19
Around £120k agreed crooks/ windass.

20 Jun 2016 17:17:35
Good time to move on and watch them progress into rangers greats.

20 Jun 2016 16:16:42
Kranjcar due in Glasgow tomorrow for his medical. This guy will tear SPL defence apart. Love the idea of Barton and Rossiter sitting, Kranjcar creating with guys like Tavernier, Wallace and McKay giving him support out wide. Hopefully 🙏🏼 hopefully a penalty area poacher to come in.
This is shaping up to a right good team, !

20 Jun 2016 17:18:40
Aye things are going really well. I've always liked Kranjcar and am delighted he is signing. I expect this team to put in a real challenge for the title next season. Let's see what they are all made of! Can't wait.

20 Jun 2016 17:21:35
Thought it was Wednesday for his medical according to bbc? Either way shows great intent with the players we are bringing in.

20 Jun 2016 15:10:22
Not football related but is this rumour true that Tom Hiddlestone, the favourite to become the next James Bond, is a Rangers fan?

If so, it's very appropriate that the coolest man on the planet should be played by a bear although my missis thinks Gerald Butler would be the best choice. Please No.

20 Jun 2016 15:46:00
Gerard Butler is a whopper with the skills of a retarded cabbage. Seen his latest film about Egyptian gods? Wow.

20 Jun 2016 16:11:43
Why is he a whopper CIU? Is it only because he is a Celtic supporter?

20 Jun 2016 16:29:32
I lost the little respect I had for Gerard Butler when I saw him play football in one of the charity matches! He has the balance and poise of a 3 second old Giraffe! And that's being kind to the guy!

20 Jun 2016 17:22:18
Aye I remember his effort. Worse than useless! I'd love to see Joey Barton welcome Buck, Peanut Heid and the crew off their team bus for our first home match against them with the cry of THIS IS IBROX!

20 Jun 2016 17:27:31
Happy, he's a whopper because I think he's a whopper. He can support who he likes it won't stop me thinking he's a whopper.

20 Jun 2016 15:56:38
You're making me crave a burger repeating the word, "whopper".

20 Jun 2016 12:07:04
If your referring to my post I put McGovern/ Wes as goalie, but to be honest I was more interested on what my fellow RFC fans thought about my hypothetical team apart from goalie, and if you disagree, then let's have yours. Because I can almost invisage our team now Krancjar is expected.

20 Jun 2016 12:00:55
Krancjar is about to sign brilliant is to be taken on the tour again like Joey did with big Davie weir tomorrow, also I don't actually think we need ball bk like others are saying, are midfield is complete and have guys in that could probably do a better, more experienced job, too many cooks and all that don't want to end up like the celtic with 15 midfielders, I actually would find it difficult to see were ball would play because our business so far, plus ball needs to be playing every week for his own development, we don't need to loan ball again.

20 Jun 2016 12:30:17
Completely disagree, Ball is a fantastic player with a good future ahead of him. he would be a very useful player to have, not to mention how versatile he is. CDM, CB, LB. If we sign ball I'll be over the moon, I personally think we could use him, personally I don't think Barton or Rossiter would suit the CDM that well in Scotland, yes they can put in a good tackle but I reckon they'll struggle to win many headers. Ball on the other hand would win most headers. let's not forget how well he played against Celtic, his class was evident there.

20 Jun 2016 12:56:01
Just a opinion, like many will have lol that ball is not needed, yeah he may be versatile although I have never seen him play LB as you stated.
My point is he will not play in most games, I think it would be better for him to play somewhere in England were he will, he never played in every one in the championship, and the only reason we were that desperate to have a holding midfielder was Kiernan and Wilson are not even close to be good enough, and we needed protection, if we get better CB's then and play Barton there then were a better team, also I think taV should be a bit more wiser about leaving the defence and wondering up the park, there's times to do it and there times not to do it, and sometimes he picks wrong.
That's just how I see it some centre backs with height and experience and better Lb and a RB tactics. We're stronger now, and when you think about it quite a lot of successful teams don't have a big guy infront of there centre backs, WHY, because the Cb's can be trusted,
Only my opinion, I'm sure many will disagree. But at least say why you think I'm wrong?

20 Jun 2016 13:46:26
Jay!, again I disagree with what you are saying. We needed ball in only a few games due to the fact we didn't need to defend as much against 90% of teams last season. he was used against better opposition and he done great. the coming season we will need a decent CDM who can win a ball in the air, air you trying to blame tav for Warburtons tactics? it's warburton that wants the full backs to play so high, which is what caught us out a few times! We need a CDM to sit infront of the defense to cover for the full backs pushing forward.

Also, when you think about it most teams don't play in a 4-3-3 formation. and those that do have a big CDM in their midfield. off the top of my head I can't think of a team that plays 4-3-3 and doesn't have a big and strong CDM (this is the bit where I am proven wrong with an obvious answer.

20 Jun 2016 13:58:45
He played left back a few times last season when wallace went off.

20 Jun 2016 14:00:53
For a start ball is allot better than both Wilson and Kieran. Hill ain't going to be playing every game for 90 mins due to age. Even if we do get mariappa and even Nelson or Taylor were still going to need players to cover in that position and also CDM ball would fit the bill perfectly he's young determined he's proved he can handle pressure etc etc. Anyone saying we're better off without ball needs to go specsavers.

20 Jun 2016 14:27:48
The people that need to go to specsavers are probably ones that don't read posts correctly, and turn offensive when I was having a opinion based post were people could air there views, Steve I never said that were better of without ball, I never said he was a bad player point was merely that I felt we had that position covered with better quality, and that ball would be better in the English championship for his development, if we're not going to use him every week, so Steve u free this week for a appointment at your local specsavers.

20 Jun 2016 14:33:47
Jay!, you are voicing your opinion. we are voicing ours. Ball plays for Tottenham currently, and if it wasn't for Dier I reckon would be kept to see how he develops over the next season or 2. we haven't seen our new players yet but we had ball on loan and we know he can play.

20 Jun 2016 14:52:42
I think ball would still be a good move if we going to compete the squad will need rotation I'm sure that's in the managers plans it's a long season we expect to challenge and go as far as possible in cups so there's lots of games ahead of us and if we pick up an injury here and there better to have the right quality to fill in rather than playing players out of position warbs does like a trim squad but we will need the right amount of players to challenge the other side.

20 Jun 2016 15:54:04
Onlyshowaround, what you on about, I was just telling somebody called Steve, don't say things I never said like for example quote Steve, 1.we would be better off without him.
I never said that I said I don't think he's needed that's all.

2. Complete different meanings onlyshowaround, yeah okay your voicing your opinion based on what you think i said. Steve and only show, learn to read, never know might get a better job!

20 Jun 2016 16:39:48
would be over the moon if we could get ball back he is a great prospect.

20 Jun 2016 16:41:04
put the claws away ladies lol.

20 Jun 2016 16:41:39
Ball is good enough to play week in week out for us, although I'd rather see us sign him permanently if it was possible.
If we get Marriappa I'd let Kiernan go, Wilson could still be good beside the right CB in my opinion . I even think Hill and Wilson could be a good partnership, he was great beside Sir Davie.

20 Jun 2016 16:52:36
Jay, All I said was "you are voicing your opinion. we are voicing ours. "

Steve may have misinterpreted what you meant, however he had opinion on what he read. My opinion is that I disagree with 90% of what you said. other than that mate, you are being a bit of w***er due to the fact we disagree with the drivel you are spouting.

20 Jun 2016 11:46:40
@Briggsbear don't forget a Goalkeeper.

20 Jun 2016 11:44:43
This is my ideal and also hypothetical side for next season, and formation.

Goalie, McGovern/ Wes
LB, Wallace CBMarriappa CBcrooks RB taV
Barton Halliday rossister . middle 3
Krancjar Bradshaw McKay front 3

The only 3 in that group that haven't signed, Krancjar is in the bag by today's accounts, so it would only leave McGovern, Marriappa, and Bradshaw, so when you think about it I can't be far wrong, because the 3 I mentioned are very heavily linked to us, the one I'm not sure about is Bradshaw, only because I have been told we will be going for another big signing there, don't know who but along the Barton, Krancjar lines.

Now I would have went 4, 2, 3 but trust the magic hat. What you think of my made up team, and do you think it could get us 55. Please have a go and pick yours #55.

20 Jun 2016 13:00:12
Haliday so over rated, everyone thinks he's amazing because he's a rangers fan he has to be one of the most over rated players at rangers. Last season the defence got pelters (cb in particular) because people like tav wallace and haliday are fan favourites. When we concede on the break 9/ 10 it was due them being 2/ 2 at the back, the fullbacks would fly on and haliday would find himself out of position too. Haliday is non starter for me next season we have brought in and have far better. Holt starts in front of him every time for me. In terms of quality it goes barton - rossiter (should be) -crooks (CDM imo based on our signings so far) - holt - thomson - Haliday I challenge you to find a worse cm in our squad currently than him I don't see why he's held with such high regard when there's unsung heros like holt. And if Niko signs I struggle to see him on the bench either.

20 Jun 2016 13:24:18
Halliday played well last season considering he had to play at CDM, he was never comfortable there, and even had to take advice from John Eustuce, when he was at Murray park on how to play there.
To me your being slightly harce on Halliday, the most overrated that's complete rubbish! There's been worse and more overrated. Halliday just playing as just a normal midfielder is a good player, CDM doesn't suit him, we now have better option for CDM, like you say crooks, also my team did have Niko Krancjar in it 😳.

20 Jun 2016 13:59:33
Most overrated was 100 percent Lee wallace.

20 Jun 2016 15:27:02
I think the cap is class, i mean in comparison to anyone else at the club to me he's held far too highly but of course these are all just the matter of opinions and i'm not saying anyone else is wrong for believing otherwise nor do i think haliday is a bad player i just don't see any player rated so highly like him, for me he won't be in the team next season not much anyway in the way of starting, i see what your saying jay! and i don't think haliday is bad i just think people think he is a lot better than he actually is and that almost every cm we have signed/ have is better, its just my opinion I'm just one fan only talks about the quality we have.

20 Jun 2016 15:38:36
Warbs will change it a little. Still 4-3-3 but 2 deeper Mids with 1 forward instead of 1 deep. So by your squad I think

Gk: fods/ mcgovern
Rb: tav/ Aird/ Mariappa
Lb: Wallace/ Ball/ Halliday
Cb: Mariappa/ kiernan/ Crooks
Cb: hill/ Wilson
Cdm: Crooks/ Ball
Cm: barton/ rossiter/ Halliday
Am: Windass/ Krancjar/ Forrester
Lw: McKay/ Kranjcar
Rw: Waghorn/ Forrester
St: Miller/ Bradshaw / Waghorn

As u can see I have shown players covering several positions.
I think we also would need another winger in like Aluko for speak sake.

20 Jun 2016 16:18:43
Blue genius
Your squad suggestions seem fair enough up to a point but where do Jason Holt and Mike OH fit in. If we have MOH do we really need someone like Sone Aluko (even though he was great for us when we had him
Liverpool Ger.

20 Jun 2016 16:36:03
The two sitting players will be Rossiter and Barton! I'd play Holt or Kranjcar in front of them.

20 Jun 2016 16:44:41
now i don't know what cee is on about Wallace was overated are u a timaloy or something out captain has been the best player at out club for years and still is in my opinion u seriously need a check up fae the neck up mate.

20 Jun 2016 16:48:36
I think Halliday should be judged this year, he looked great in the Old Firm game CM. To say he is vastly overrated is a bit harsh. No ones even saying he's all that, just that he deserves a chance in his favoured position the same as everyone else does. He did a solid job for us last year out of position and no one should forget that.
Everyone will get game time this year, now we have depth the manager will be able to rotate comfortablely without losing too much quality, unlike last year with the likes of Law/ Shields/ Clark. This seasons subs will all be able to make a difference, the squads shaping up nicely.

20 Jun 2016 16:58:46
LiverpoolGer I was trying to stick to those mentioned by the OP so didn't list everyone but felt I had to add Windass as I reckon he will be a big player in new formation. Holt will definitely play although no longer a Def starter. As for O'Halloran I actually don't think he will work out for us. Not a bad player but has yet to cut it at Gers as far as I'm concerned. I actually think Greg Stewart will replace him within next 12 months but neither of these are that similar to Aluko for running straight at defences.

20 Jun 2016 18:28:35
recbob when i say over rated i mean in comparison to the other players in his position, not in comparison to any other team or players I do think Haliday is a good player and I also agree with the fact we should judge him on this season I just feel in every position we have better and I don't think he is the best we have but I feel a lot of fans hold him of higher regard than they should, as i said it speaks to the quality of the squad when haliday isn't a starter.

20 Jun 2016 12:48:56
Holt would be my first name on team sheet every week.

20 Jun 2016 11:14:14
Suppose this is a bit off topic with the Transfer Talk. But is relevant due to the match later today between Slovakia and England.

If we sign Ball permanently, how long do you think it'll be before he gets an England call up? Will he get one as a Rangers player? Personally can only see it if quite a few of their options get injured in holding midfield but he may have a chance.

Also the possible loan signings of Winks and Jackson from Spurs both young English prospects who have been mentioned before.

20 Jun 2016 11:23:05
Meant Harry Winks and Shayon Harrison.

20 Jun 2016 16:46:10
no one would get a call up for England unless they play either in the epl or if they play top champions league teams no one would get a shout playing in Scotland.

20 Jun 2016 11:05:38
Liverpool are flabbergasted by Inge link to rangers klopp big fan going nowhere silly rumour to start with.

20 Jun 2016 09:40:02
Can someone tell me where the info is for Mariappa's wage is? the only site I have seen suggest he earns 14k a week. So I don't see how this can be the stumbling block?

20 Jun 2016 09:55:01
I suspect the problem is that English clubs will be willing to pay more! If he's about the money we will get somebody else in. Hopefully not Steven Taylor!

20 Jun 2016 14:05:21
Done abit of research into mariappas wages and looks like he was on about 13.5k a week with palace 2015-2016.

20 Jun 2016 09:00:10
Still think we need a keeper.

This IMO is the Achilles heal of the MWDW approach of playing younger players, bring them on and thus add value. Keepers won't have time to develop in a team going for the prem title. You need experience in this position and probably need to spend a bit to get it.

Thoughts?

We will sign one. Personally, I think we'll be signing a number one and not a back up too! Wes did OK last term and I'm reluctant to be critical of him but he doesn't fill me with confidence. There are a lot of excellent goalkeepers around in lower leagues so fingers crossed we'll get the right one.

Ross Turnbull of leeds UTD.

He can't sign until 1st of July as many folk have stated on here?

20 Jun 2016 08:56:21
He can sign a pre contract.

20 Jun 2016 02:33:10

20 Jun 2016 04:45:07

20 Jun 2016 07:44:40
Barton will be at gers on 1st of july traning with the youths as senior squad will be in america.

20 Jun 2016 07:45:35
Rangers have gave him extra time off due to Media work at euros and fact he can't make the trip to US due to VISA issues it will be july when he comes in and he will be training with youths while rest are in america.

I personally believe we will get Pritchard on loan along with winks both from Spurs unsure about if we will get Pringle of Fulham or ings from Liverpool. Kranjar and the crystal palace defender will sign Steve Taylor of Newcastle possibly and maybe even Curtis Nelson Plymouth. In regards to Daniel Bentley I don't believe we will get him and to be honest I don't see him being much different to big wes. All that wes lacks is controlling his box and doing them stupid touches taking it round players apart from that our number 1 will continue to get better with experience and a good solid back 4. Lots of talk about this aucko from Africa coming for trial and medical anyone got more news on this? Just like to note that I'm extremely excited for the new season to start.

Steve rfc fulton. Goodness me, how many players do you want Rangers to sign? You've named at least 7 players in your post. With the four already signed plus it looks like Krancjar and the Crystal Palace centre half then surely we're OK. Lessons must have surely been learned from the past in terms of high wage bills.

20 Jun 2016 11:05:25
Were getting rid of the like of bell shiels law templeton ball zelalem Clark etc so first off we need replacements for them plus we need a slightly larger squad to manage with the spl. Getting rid of those players mentioned Rangers probably saving between 35-45k a week on wages. Yes we have signed 4 up to now but I believe we still need 2 CB a winger a striker and possibly a GK.

20 Jun 2016 11:08:20
If u read my post correctly I only mentioned we would sign 2 on loan 2 permanents and possibly get another one or 2 but their doubtful.

20 Jun 2016 02:52:06
Sure he was allowed extra time off and will not be with squad till after America. Does a lot of radio talk shows and tv so might no see him to after euros?

20 Jun 2016 02:15:35
After Niko Kranjcar joins and the possibility of Mariappa and Vaughun, does anyone think we'll do any more business apart from loan deals?

Another left sided winger to compete with McKay on a permanent deal, another centre forward on top of the Vaughun deal, or most likely a new goalkeeper.

Competition for places in majority of areas on the park although one more striker on top of Vaughan would be nice to see but mainly a keeper to seriously compete with Wes.

20 Jun 2016 04:54:04
dont think vaughan will be signed, plus there is still o'halloran who can compete for left/ right side.

mcgovern looks like a definite from what iv'e heard.

Thorn young harry can play out on the wing just like mckay, that's enough to kkeep barrie on his toes, unless mckay is getting moved over to the right with harry f playing on the left.
