I think it's make or break for Pedro this weekend against Celtic a draw would be acceptable or a narrow win for us but if we take another humiliating score line like 4-0 then surely Pedro gets sacked especially after early season disappointments.

21 Sep 2017 00:41:23
Any result would be a bonus when are people going to accept we just don't have the players we had ten years ago Celtic are way ahead of us I agree they need to get closer but we are still rebuilding Pedro knows where he needs to strengthen but money is the problem I'd love to see Walker, Moult and McClean added then I would think we would have a strong unit there are players right now in the team that are not good enough but we just don't have the squad to replace them we need to finish a good second in the league so for me give Pedro till end of season then judge him what would sacking him achieve we have no money to replace any players we need to give them all time Rome wasn't built in a day

19 Sep 2017 22:45:20
Well pena started and scored gets better with every minute played i reckon pena will thrive in the old firm atmosphere as will morelos and candieas of we can play at the tempo of extra time to begin with on Saturday it will batter them of we score early it will really shake them would love to see how they handle it come on rangers get stuck right up them there is no way there defence will handle our forwards just hope Bruno is OK John played well 2 but if he ain't fit get the team that finished to start playing a back 3 possibly mccrorie Alves fabio get candieas on left wing Tav on the right jack dorrans in middle pena behind morelos and go at them.

19 Sep 2017 23:03:22
God bless you Highlandger2.
I came on here, perhaps judgemental you, expecting to read doom and gloom comments.
There is no real reason why we can't get in about them on Saturday and get a good result.
!

21 Sep 2017 00:32:16
Pena scored a good goal that's all he done his passing was shocking as it was when he came on Friday so I don't see how he's getting better?

21 Sep 2017 00:36:35
Glad we're thru but it needs to be a lot better on Sat i'm afraid. need to leep the ball a lot better and i shudder to think what would happen if Cardosa gets isolated with 1 of there attackers

19 Sep 2017 22:44:27
3-1 away win, League Cup 1/ 4 final. Can't we just be happy we've won?

19 Sep 2017 21:10:35
For all those who slag off pena since the hibs game every time he has came on the pitch I've seen improvement each time and tonight he is hungry and more confident after a few more games I think we will have a real good player on our hands.

19 Sep 2017 21:35:28
If the new manager rates him, cause after this performance its bye bye pedro.

19 Sep 2017 21:44:39
Fod you'd love that I'd rather bye bye to you

19 Sep 2017 23:36:11
We paid 3mil for pena, he's scored twice and every performance has been below par. I expect much better that that for 3mil. I think you need to calm down gary75.

19 Sep 2017 23:39:55
I just want to say Well done Rangers sticky 30 mins towards the end of second half but dug deep in extra time it seems unless we win 4-5 itching it's crap we are not the team we were money is scarce we are rebuilding and it will take time to get a team back to that level we need a left winger we need to tighten up at the back and another striker but we are scoring goals and crating chances so let's all calm down

20 Sep 2017 00:24:22
Fod i'm utterly convinced that your a dhim who is only on here to bham people up. If your not then perhaps your on the glue or something.

20 Sep 2017 06:00:05
Cold why do I need to calm down I back the team always and try to find positives would it be better if I came on here with the sole purpose of slagging the team and the players because that is not what supporting is about. There may be a wee clue in the word supporting and if it is because I'm sick of people like fodtheprod well it is understandable as him and the others like him just constantly look for the worst all the time

21 Sep 2017 00:37:14
Money isn't exactly scarce mate. we've spent more than anybody (selik included), we've got a euro championship winner, a guy that's played his last 10 yr in the epl and championship and the ex captain of the 2nd best team in the country so we're not exactly out with the begging bowl.

21 Sep 2017 00:43:07
Gary I just think for the money we paid that the quality should be better. I don't want to slag the team, of course I don't, I want to win every game, I want to win titles but I'm fed up watching my team struggle in games where we should be out of sight. As I said in an earlier post, you can't spend 7-8 mil in the spl and accept below par performances its just not acceptable. The majority of performances have been well below par. that's what pisses me off.

19 Sep 2017 20:43:12
Get the young boy fae Man City on instead of windlass!

19 Sep 2017 21:45:21
Dazbear nothing or no one can help us now, its not the players its the guy telling them what to do. he's scatty and hasn't got a clue. We need a good masonic lodge member to buy rangers. Get us back on our feet financially.

19 Sep 2017 23:35:10
We've tired big time. that goal was always coming.

19 Sep 2017 23:37:54
Fodthepod of course you do. A real Mason with Β£75mill he is ready to drop from his apron into the money pit that is Rangers. Great idea. Well done.

20 Sep 2017 02:31:45
Oh my. Fod, please tell me you are actually a troll.

21 Sep 2017 00:31:05
Well the guy telling them what to do just told them to go out and pump them calm down. its a new team they need games to get their rhythm. aye its been a let down getting put out of europe an naw collecting maximum points at home so far, look at the differenc between the players this year and the ones from last year.

Last years team allready had a season to get used to playing with each other n couldn't hack the spl this team are gelling at the moment and I still think it needs tweaked declan john in at left mid instead of windass when wallace is fit, pena and hererra aren't match fit yet but still chipping in with goals, mcrorie looks a good prospect.

Need to be realistic we are not going to be back to where we belong overnight fair dos if we don't go on a winning run and its just stop start until xmas we assess our options but there's no point in moaning let's see what happens there's good players in the team far better standard than the bread man so we are going in the right direction

19 Sep 2017 17:33:42
Good evening bears.

was just wondering what everyone's opinion was on Pedros comments about our transfer policy.

"When this club is a formulator and a seller, in this philosophy at the moment, we need to understand.

"You form the players, create the players, coach the players. After, you sell the players. It is a normal process in football.

In my opinion we have always struggled to hold on to our best players however, are we always going to be a team to buy someone with high potential, develop them then sell such player before we can see him playing at his best?

19 Sep 2017 22:44:13
yes we are, for the foreseeable future. players are commodities to hopefully allow profit to re-invest and return dividends to shareholders. until we can rely on another significant revenue stream then this is the only way to earn substantially

21 Sep 2017 00:38:40
Every team in the world is a selling club when it comes to earning more money. god, Neymar wanted to leave the best team in the world were he was idolized. why? because of πŸ’° πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’° that's why

19 Sep 2017 12:51:15
I know we have an important game tonight against Thistle (i'd consider it important as it's potential silverware) but, The big game is really on Saturday. I have to admit, with everyone including some Gers fans thinking that we will take an absolute pounding i'm quietly confident of a result. And a result being a draw or a win. Most fans seem to forget that anything can happen on a Old Firm game, your previous games and your first XI goes all out the window in my opinion on Old Firm games. You just have to look at the Semi Final a couple of years ago, and even the one before that when we lost 2-0 with in my opinion one of the worst rangers teams in history of the club and half of Celtics team that day still playing for them or still in there starting XI today.

I'm sure there will be even more examples of surprising results on both sides of the coin from the past. And let's hope Saturday is another one.

So what everyone's thoughts for the big day?

19 Sep 2017 15:40:24
I think celtic will come out all guns blazing and think they already have it won but I've got a feeling dorrans will be the game changer he's a diehard rangers man and this is his first old firm he will be buzzing out his tits and probably be running on purr adrenalin. If morelos scores one i'm sure he will be kicked until he reacts and from what I've saw he will bite straight away. Few red cards and a rangers win. Scott brown sent off first put a tenner on it. Here we go.

19 Sep 2017 16:10:03
Im actually struggling to see us even getting a draw to be honest but i hope i'm wrong. as for the form book phrase i actually think that's a myth.9 times out of 10 the form team very rarely gets beat

19 Sep 2017 16:28:31
In the words of Clubber Lang

"PAIN" **Mean look on face**

Genuinely fearful for this one, that lot are streets ahead in terms of ability, managerial skill, pace, confidence and winning mentality.

I am not having a go at the manager, it is what it is, but IF we fail to win tonight then take a thumping on Saturday then its "Tchau Pedro" - it simply has to be. People will say its too soon, only time will tell.

19 Sep 2017 16:57:58
Depends on what team Pedro picks to be honest. Wit injuries and players off form his options are limited.

Hopefully Celtic will underestimate us and we can pull off a win.

Morelos and miller as scorers and 2-1 to Rangers

19 Sep 2017 17:29:42
Baz the bear

I very much doubt they will under estimate us and I've got the feeling they will want to score as many as they can. Yes they are full of themselves and think they are better than they are but still too good for us

19 Sep 2017 18:53:37
Sparky that's a cracker mate "they think they are better than they are", we know EXACTLY where we are.
We are invincible domestically and streets ahead at home, however in Europe our target last year was CL (gained), this year 3rdplace in group. You would have to be on Mars not to know this from a football point of view.
As for YOUR club last season you were "going for 55" if u believe that lol and many of you did.
Even this pre season many on here were spouting you will win the league.
You are already 5 behind and league could be over on sat so it looks to me that there is only 1 team that don't know where they are.
Can you spot the difference?

19 Sep 2017 20:42:38
Blah blah blah Rayman. We're getting better and have it in us to really give a team a hiding. We are just not consistent enough at the moment but we have practically a new team so we just need to build a bit of a better understanding. I think we have a lot more to offer than the results have shown.

No doubt Celtic are favourites for the game, rightly so based on form and how long they have been playing together but anything can happen and if we play to our full potential then we can beat them. no doubts about that either.

19 Sep 2017 20:55:57
Rayman99

Your manager boldly predicted that his team would shock PSG last week. Didn't exactly pan out that way did it? He obviously thinks your better than what you really are.

19 Sep 2017 23:26:45
Rangers won't win this. Yes results can be strange but the task is to improve. The Result on Saturday is second to the need for Rangers to show they are heading in right direction. That means winning 6 or 7 on the bounce. let's see what happens tonight then you can make predictions about saturday. Celtic will walk the league so Rangers need to prioritise winning some silverware

19 Sep 2017 23:28:24
AllyR : why not just do as you suggest and stick your head in the sand and hope for the best.
Otherwise know as Pedros tactics. :)

19 Sep 2017 23:34:54
Bears understand one thing. we don't under estimate your team we simply do not fear your team. You will be shown respect but the class of celtic will win through. You should be focusing your attention on your board and asking where the loans are coming from to keep your team afloat till the new year.

20 Sep 2017 13:20:46
Sparky is that all you got?
No manager in history has predicted his team is going to lose, if the manager doesn't believe then nobody will.
He has said time and time again the priority was CL qualification and the treble.
This is the real world and your not in it.

19 Sep 2017 12:48:51
Anybody else think they should bring back highlights of the youth games? I find it really hard to get any information on them.

19 Sep 2017 23:23:37
The reason your getting no information is that you are hardly playing anyone. your supposed big name u19s playing rangers week in etc has died a death. no money to pay the anticipated costs involved.

20 Sep 2017 00:49:51
Teninarowdeadahead, every time I come on here it's to correct either your grammar or the drivel you spout, here once again is evidence contrary to your nonsense post above! juniors not playing due to us not having money. Oh and for all the spelling mistakes and broken english of yours I fix, your welcome fella.

19 Sep 2017 10:14:27

19 Sep 2017 10:31:14
thats radical southsideger i mean it won't go down well at ibrox surely someone will mention the pope or some other sectarian part into that song . lol

all honesty that would be a great song at a fully packed ibrox

19 Sep 2017 15:23:40
Pedz for once I agree mate, there would be a few decent lines that would slot into that song. Its a bit of banter and it gets the blood pumping I remember growing up if you didn't know all the songs you got pelters fot it haha.

19 Sep 2017 17:30:21
Its not good that people will make it sectarian.
