Hagi to rangers. tells me rangers are gunning for the 55. he must be on a good wage. Gutted defoe is out for a bit. only time will tell how good hagi is. but got me thinking the option to buy hagi after his loan spell tells me he's a fredo replacement. if he does well defoe won't be 2nd striker even after he's better. heel be reverted to playing in the cup ties.

Think hagi is a cam mate. He won't replace morelos as main striker.

I think you could play him as a CF and play with 2 wide men coming in, kind of like the system that Liverpool play with Mane - Firmino - Salah.

He is not a replacement for Morelos, he’s seen as the person to take that right sided AM role that we have kept shoe horning CMs into and it has not worked very well, he’s the second number 10 basically with Kent the other.

Defo don’t think he is a Morelos replacement. He looks a lot like a ten behind the nine.

Yeah mate I had previously seen him at the euros last summer and can remember dreaming at the time that we could get young quality guys like him and the striker Puscas that Romania had up front at the time.

He is an attacking midfielder - totally different to Defoe or Morelos - more like Arfield, if anything.

I think the reason the Hagi signing is a loan with an option to buy is to see if we win the league and qualify for champions league. We won't be able to stay within financial fair play rules by signing him permanently now so winning league is vital.
