Gents

Sunday was delighted for Itten and Jones .

Thought Arfield had a brilliant game. Pleased that the captain took both penalties and scored both.

I think our full shape looked better playing with two wingers (Kent and Jones) . I'm a Hagi fan and was glad we signed him but he's never a winger I'd prefer him in a midfield three or the number ten behind the striker.

Delighted for big Itten came on with not much time and bagged a brace from himself . Jones started the game and took his chance . Glad with the managers comments after the game saying he will only accept the best from him the way it should be in my opinion.

Good post bear, I didn't really want hagi signed for the money in the first place but to be fair to the boy he isn't a winger and putting a player in an alien position is like throwing him under a bus, i had a mate who was quite a player back in the 70s who was played every week in the middle of the park, he was a centre half by trade, it took him over a year to recover after his gaffer was sacked, its a dangerous game playing guys outside their comfort zone and leads to confidence eroding and fans frustration.

I still don't understand the fans frustration with Hagi. Whether he is played as a winger or his best position in the hole behind striker he creates numerous chances. 1 goal and 4 assists so far this season after 9 games. Seems decent to me not counting the countless other chances he has created that haven't resulted in goals. He only has one weakness that I can see and its lack of pace. If we play against a team that alow us space in behind it would be interesting to see Hagi and Jones in the same starting 11. Hagi would play Jones in for fun with Jones pace.

Haji doesn't stay out wide tho, he plays across the front line across the midfield behind the striker same as Kent the fact of the matter is he's not been good enough, yes he's had flashes but not been very consistent. Before people jump on that and give me grief I do like him and want him to do well could be next year before we see the best of him sometimes it just takes a while for players to settle and make their mark.

I just didn't think he was that good after the initial couple of games and I thought his goals, great as they were had maybe got folk thinking we had a superstar on the books, the more the boy played the less likely I thought he would be bought, but he was, and for a lot of money, I hope he flies through the gears and is a massive success, I just havnt seen enough to change my mind, yet.
