Alright fellow bears can any explain why we can't have at least some fans in our stadium. psg had. Fans and there wasn't any social distance I think last week. also there was plenty fans in the super cup final between Bayern and Seville am sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because the rate of challenge is back on the increase. A lot of people think it's ok as you can space out in the stadium and its open air, what about the numbers all traveling and entering the stadium at the same point and time or the impact on public transport to and from the ground?

26 Sep 2020 13:14:18
Toilet facilities are awful in football stadiums, packed into a small area.

26 Sep 2020 13:17:15
Davie there’s a C.V. going on! How would yo decide who gets in anyway as there’s about 46000 season tickets sold.

26 Sep 2020 14:32:13
Don’t understand why it can be made to work in some countries but not here.

Survival rate is 99.8% so I’m guessing that those of us who know that we are at risk will take appropriate precautions whilst the kids get on with their lives.

Statistics say there is more chance of getting hit by a bus on the way to the match than dying of C.V..

26 Sep 2020 14:52:37
DK19, 32.6 million cases and 989k deaths worldwide. That would put the fatality rate at around 3% not 0.2% like you are claiming.

26 Sep 2020 14:57:10
Aye and it's statistically higher because of all the precautions taken to limit its spread.

Not sure where you pulled that survival rate from, when hundreds were dying a day a few months back that means 100 thousand folk a day would have had to be catching it?

26 Sep 2020 15:13:38
Pretty easy because wee Nicky and BJ says we can’t.

26 Sep 2020 15:16:14
Human lives are more important than football, end of.

26 Sep 2020 15:32:16
I pulled the figure from the ONS excluding care home deaths - not many care home residents are likely to attend a football match.

Appreciate that the daily record might be more accurate than official government statistics but given the rumours they spread about us I think I’ll stick with the ONS numbers.

26 Sep 2020 15:37:04
DK19, ok mate I pass that on to my aunt who lost her husband from CV. some folk drive me mad.

I’m not down playing the tragedy but how long can we live like this!

No vaccine by 2022 and we have no life worth living.

A number of other countries have far fewer restrictions including limited crowds at sporting events but we can’t be treated the same?

Depression, and mental health issues booming, cancer undiagnosed, routine life enhancing treatments cancelled or postponed indefinitely etc etc.

Kids education is being decimated, students with virtually no risk being imprisoned in small flats.

None of it makes sense to me.

26 Sep 2020 16:24:48
DK a lot of other countries aren’t having a rise either

26 Sep 2020 18:22:22
Because the government says so, racing fans can’t get in either, and most racecourses are out of the way in the countryside,

No life worth living? Get a grip mate, there are a few groups of poor people in “ a life not worth living “

We ain’t one of them.

26 Sep 2020 18:27:44
Correct tam.

26 Sep 2020 18:30:07
Don't worry Tom, DK knows best mate. Just like when he is acting the authority on who is a real fan and who isn't, dictating what comments people can make etc. He also now knows who is and isn't at risk better than actual health officials and the government! We are lucky to have someone as bright on our forum.

26 Sep 2020 20:04:05
Correct smell, listen and learn!

26 Sep 2020 20:29:05
No thanks mate. I will choose to listen to those who actually know what they are talking about (and don't have to resort to an immature misspell in their posts because their arguments get pulled apart)

26 Sep 2020 21:01:15
Snell is smell on autocorrect- nothing more to it.

neighbour and two good friends are GP’s. They all say the same thing - we are allowed to die of anything except C.V. because government get blamed for every C.V. death but Mother Nature is responsible for all other challengees.

Anyway, thread started with spectators at sport events - lots of countries allow it but we aren’t told why it’s possible to manage social distancing in a pub or bus or plane but we can’t randomly have even 1000 fans in Ibrox.

26 Sep 2020 21:27:18
As per my above point buses and public transport are stretched enough accomodating social distancing as it is, without them being used for 1000 congregating at the same place at the same time.

Do your and your GP pals have (socially distanced) parties comparing tin foil hats by any chance?

26 Sep 2020 21:33:25
Just get on with it. All this restrictions nonsense. Some of my mates are away to germany for october fest. looks very busy. Also a lot of false positive tests racking up the numbers. Aswel as death toll that they have already admitted is a lie.

26 Sep 2020 21:48:57
Who said the death toll was a lie Paul mate? I'd be interested to read that. It's the people choosing to just "get on with it" that mean other spikes are now happening and the reason its longer and more painful to resolve.

26 Sep 2020 21:52:40
Careful Paul, alternative opinions only allowed if they agree with the usual experts.

26 Sep 2020 23:29:04
Bit rich coming from the forum self appointed Ed. Paul is entitled to his opinion, at no point did I say he wasn't and it was a genuine question that I would like to know the source so I can read it myself. It's good to read both sides of an argument as it helps keep you learn so Paul mate if you can remember where you saw that, genuinely interested 👍.
