I've said it before and I will say it again, Connor Goldson is the most underrated, unappreciated player at Rangers right now. He has arguably been our best player so far this season. His passing out from the back is absolutely unbelievable. The problem is, he is one mistake from undoing all his good work in a lot of fans eyes. It amazes me that he is never in any chat about club captain. The man is a leader and I wish more of our fans would get right behind him. The Iron Curtain record wasn't broken by accident.

I totally agree. Was impressed by his press conference the other day, speaks really well. When we think back to some of the defenders we have had over the last 5/ 6 years, I do wonder why he gets so much stick. Just remember no long ago we had the likes of danny Wilson, Russell Martin and david bates haha.

If my memory serves me correct, did the Brighton fans not say it was an absolute steal, rangers getting him for £3million🤔 Superb communicator in our defence and a very good footballing centre half 👌.

Let’s be honest though all 5 teams have offered next to nothing going forward and most haven’t even tried to attack. Can’t remember ever seeing 5 teams play so negatively against us in the opening 5 games.

Yes in the league the teams Rangers have played have been very negative basically defence v attack.
Let’s not forget we also kept clean sheets in the friendly matches against Lyon and Nice which must not be underestimated.
Goldson has been superb since joining Rangers for £3m and he is a leader and along with Helander, Balogun, Edmundson and when Katic returns from injury we have great options in defence.

Agree, Goldson is a good defender and does organise the defence well. Also agree he is captain material. We really are looking solid in the CD area, apart from Balogun pace does concern me as that is obviously how teams will try to hurt us, counter with the ball over the top when we are pushing forward but so far we have done brilliant in controlling the game.

Biff316 you say that Rangers haven’t been tested and teams play negative, a agree they play negative but they have don’t that for how long now think the reason why teams haven’t troubled us isn’t because there so negative it’s because rangers have been really good at breaking up play and keeping teams from taking shots, lot of people moan about tav Goldson etc but where’s the praise for them considering we haven’t conceded a goal in the league yet.
