Morning Bears. Here's an idea I heard recently regarding this season. Keep this season going as long as it takes, so if teams can start playing again in August or September then keep playing until October or November. That way, teams will actually win the league and promotion and relegation sorted as they should be. Next season could then be a shortened version, starting late January, with in the SPL teams playing each other only twice, with no split. Sounds a much better idea to me. Thoughts? Stay safe.

Finish off this season with games starting in August and the season would finish September weekend. The new season could start from October.
All 12 teams play each other home and away and that would be 22 games. The top and bottom 6 would play each other home and away and that would be another 10 games to finish off a 32 game campaign.
Add in the 8 games from the previous season and it would be a grand total of 40 games played and only 2 or 3 matches extra from a normal season if you include the St. Johnstone game in hand. It’s in more detail on the Celtic rumours discussions page. Let me know your thoughts.
