I sincerely hope Steven gerrard stays and fights for our club, look what he has achieved in Europe for a start! I know domestic honours is the bread and butter and maybe we need to tweak when we play Scottish clubs and I'd like to see maybe some more physical types in our team especially domestically. I think the staff know this and will get it right! Can you imagine the damage it would cause if we had to hire a new coach? It would send us back a couple of years. It takes time to get back from where we were at . Show faith guys, we will get there.

Ok guys i'm giving it to yous two barrels here! I follow the rangers everywhere and have done boy and man for the best part of 45 years now.
Season ticket holder, shareholder the lot. Have experience in the bucket loads of us playing under different manager's with a multitude of players under them, into the bargain! Watched over the years many manager's and players come and go at the institution we're proud to call the famous glasgow rangers. We should always have the expectation of being the number one club in scotland, but have to have a sense of realism at the same time, especially where our great club has been, over the last 8 years or so. Steven gerrard our current manager we all agree inherited an absolute mess, a shambles and shell of a club we all love. For anyone to try and tell me on here or anywhere else, he hasn't made progress and improved us are absolutely blinkered as far as i'm concerned! Yes its very disappointing and hurtful that it still looks like another barren season again but there's progress been made under gerrard and he deserves a 3rd season at the helm, of our great club. Before he got the rangers job, celtic were wiping the floor with us everytime in embarrassing beatings, ie.5-05-1,
4-0 etc and so on. Gerrard in under 2 years has stopped this and apart from 2 old firm games if my memory serves me correctly, we have played them off the park and gerrard has 3 old firm wins under his belt and how we never won the league cup in december past there against them was unbelievable to say the least! Its consistency against the so called smaller teams who press hard and make themselves difficult to break down, that we have the problems against. Once gerrard cracks that he imo will win us the league. To even contemplate changing manager at this stage will take us back several years and would hand them the holy grail of 10 iar on a plate. I've always said since gerrard got the manager's job, that he deserved 3 years at it, at the very least, i still 💯% stand by that. let's get right behind our manager and the players until the end of the season.
With gerrard STILL at the helm for next season i strongly believe he will leave behind the players he now knows can't continue this journey with us. He's an intelligent guy and will now know he most definitely has to mix physicality for the scottish league with the current skilful players he has at rangers for the assault on the league against them for next season. Sometimes tactics are read into too much and a good few players have let gerrard down and he now knows who they are. We're not far away so we shouldn't throw how close we are away! Gerrard i have no doubt is the man for the job! His name alone is a magnet for our club
which also shouldn't be overlooked!
He will have a mini rebuilding job to do this summer and i believe he'll be ruthless and do it! So disappointing as it is, that we've not won a trophy yet, for anyone on here who says we haven't as a club in a whole, improved under gerrard are talking absolute tosh as we have and patience under gerrard will get us where we all want our club to be!
I will most definitely be backing steven gerrard as our manager to the hilt.

SGL, great post, I also remember those days you speak of, and boy there was some s--t being played then, BUT, we all stood together through thick and thin. People are on here talking about Richard Gough and Terry Butcher, both great players, but, Gough has never managed, and Butcher was rubbish at Hibs. We've been too quick to send players out on loan this season, leaving us short in the pool at times, but, SG is learning, our cash from Europe has been a godsend to us this season.
Let's get back to being as positive as we can to the end of this season, and see where we end up, decisions will be made based on that I feel.

SGL an absolute fantastic post mate. I don’t always agree with you however I’m with you on this post.
If we get rid SG they will win at least twelve.
U r right he needs to be ruthless in summer starting with tav and Alf if he did let manager down, we need to understand hw I’ll his mum is because it’s family first all the time for me.
