The sheeps goal was soft but I doubt they'd have scored if big Clint was on the park. Rob keirnan and the whole defence seem to play better when Clint is on as he organises and leads, I would agree though we need a centre half as big Clint won't play forever. wee criticism of keirnan is when we have a corner he doesn't seem to give himself a chance, either makes a wee run to early or gets caught flat footed. Surely big davie can see this and coach the boy to get the best out him?

05 Dec 2016 00:36:45
Kiernan is awful and should be nowhere near the team.

05 Dec 2016 08:36:12
Enough of the kiernan bashing, him and hill have been decent together.

05 Dec 2016 11:57:14
He was over the hill a few weeks ago when he was finding his fitness as usual your impatience as fans show.

05 Dec 2016 13:01:43
Kiernan actually did ok on Saturday.
Shame he picked up a soft yellow. Had to hold back on occasions.

Still not good enough though.

05 Dec 2016 22:30:14
One of the reason we lose goals at corners – Saturday is a glaring example is that we have NEVER have someone on the line or at a post leaving Wes to cover the lot. This is ok if you have a better than fair chance of winning the ball as it is crossed –we don’t.

06 Dec 2016 13:17:12
Spot on ReformedRossW! Too many fans on here have no patience and imo DON'T get behind glasgow rangers near enough! Said on here 'till i'm blue in the face. Judge everything at the end of the season! Especially with the rebuilding job going on in relation to where we've been!

04 Dec 2016 18:25:29
Just watched telly and Aberdeen goal yesterday soft to say least, We need a C/ H!

04 Dec 2016 20:50:04
we only had 1 on the park lmao.

04 Dec 2016 21:17:15
No rubbish sherlock. Everyone on hear for the last year has said that.

05 Dec 2016 11:58:37
We have been solid all season we are losing battle in midfield that is making them look weak, it was the same last season, Sherlock

06 Dec 2016 00:35:35
Solid all season 😄😄😄😄.

04 Dec 2016 17:31:47
Was very impressed by JOE GARNER yesterday, the sheep tried same as hearts not letting us lay from the back well to say joe dominated even bullied their defence would be an understatement! Shame though I'd like to see him with a partner to benefit from all he wins praise when it's due aswel, well played rob keirnan. Was his best display for us. big Clint will be missed next week though.

04 Dec 2016 22:36:59
Clint Hill is more of a leader than Wallace.

05 Dec 2016 00:39:20
Kiernan is awful and we were lucky to get away with that awful miss just before Miller scored. Watch the chance again and you will see the Aberdeen player going by Kiernan as if he wasn't there and crossing it for the unmarked striker.

05 Dec 2016 12:02:08
Biffo you are always selective with the information you present to push your point of view, he was isolated in a situation his team mates put him in due to a combination mistakes, wingers with pace will skip past defenders why is that such a surprise to you? Still waiting on you to criticise a fan favourite, how many times did haliday lose the ball in comparison to RK? Don't see your critism for him because you like him.

04 Dec 2016 15:53:05
Warburton says in papers today that there was a lot of nonsense spoken spoken about the players after Wednesday nights debacle? Fair play for result way sheep but the players deserved every bit of stick and performances like that will finish the Managers job and is indefensible! 🇬🇧.

04 Dec 2016 16:50:55
When you see the way they fought yesterday there is no excuse for Wednesday's shambolic display. Personally i expect to see the level of commitment that we saw yesterday in every game but we are still short on quality. I will be interested to see how we perform without Hill. He appears to lead the team more than Wallace when he plays!

04 Dec 2016 17:59:01
Captains armband doesn't matter one bit.

Whether it's Wallace, Miller or Hill with the armband, the leaders will still be the leaders.

Clint Hill is the main leader in that squad of players, that's for sure.

04 Dec 2016 18:28:51
I've always backed manager but any criticism they got from fans after wed v hearts was justified. So mw is wrong to have a go at anyone who let them know that kind of performance will not be tolerated.

04 Dec 2016 19:17:34
Poor performance on Wednesday, good result on Saturday but let's be honest, Aberdeen weren't that great.

04 Dec 2016 22:38:57
Wallace is not and never will be a leader. The men that make the difference right now are Hill and Miller and we will miss Hill next week!

05 Dec 2016 12:03:51
Gor, I would say Aberdeen weren't great as McInnes got his tactics wrong. 3-5-2 was the wrong setup against us, that gives us 3 attacking players against their 3 defenders as the wing backs had to deal with our full backs. We were deserved winners as Aberdeen just weren't good enough, and their tactics were woeful too.

04 Dec 2016 13:55:06
The Aberdeen game could have finished either way, its about taking your chances, we did for a change.
Lets see if we can do it on a weekly basis until the end of the season.

04 Dec 2016 15:15:39
hardly either way, they played better against celtic. they were totally dominated.

04 Dec 2016 15:30:44
If Aberdeen player had taken his chance with the header at 0-0, it may have been a messy game. So, agree, it could have gone either way. Celtic seem to be the only team with any consistency, although for arguments sake, you could say we are consistently inconsistent.

04 Dec 2016 18:26:09
Rangers were a far better footballing team than Aberdeen. To say that it could have went either way is a disservice to the squad and their performance! You could say that about any match given both sides have half a dozen chances each!

04 Dec 2016 13:22:00
Good result and a much better performance, but MWs comments afterwards mirror the bad attitude amongst some fans.

Claims that the criticism after the hearts game was unjustified. Seriously?!

Hopefully this can be a turning point but if the manager really thinks the criticism is unfair then he has a severe attitude problem.

04 Dec 2016 13:07:43
Not in our price range but imagine the number of goals Jordan Rhodes would score for us, just been said to be available for transfer by Middlesbrough.

04 Dec 2016 13:23:11
Thing that stands out the most is "not in our price range"

04 Dec 2016 15:16:00
Louis moult isn't in our price range lol.

04 Dec 2016 13:11:32
Well let's hear from the warbs out campaigners. Said all along on here to the continual doubting thomas', back your team and judge warbs and the team at the end of the season! Great fight in our performance against the sheep and thoroughly deserved to beat them.

No failures in our team today, all gave everything and more but a special mention to joe garner who won everything in the air against their defenders, he didn't give them a minutes peace! He constantly gave them a torrid time and was my motm!

Reminds me of Jimmy millar the way he can out jump centre halfs who are several inches taller than him. Garner imo could go on and become a very good player for us, and become a right fans favourite! More of the same against the jambos next week gers!

04 Dec 2016 13:20:28
Can't believe some fans don't rate Garner! He's not a prolific goalscorer but the work he puts in is incredible and we need the kind of fight he typifies in this league. He's first choice for me.

04 Dec 2016 13:30:32
You not sick of getting egg on your face after each false dawn?

So we had 1 decent performance in 5, that does not make us a good team or suggest we have turned the corner.

The fact Warburton can't motivate his team without the help of Chris Sutton does not instill me with confidence.

Personally I would like Warburton gone in January but the reality is we are skint and can't afford to sack him, so I think we are stuck with him.

04 Dec 2016 14:10:33
If you gave me a jersey I would give you as much commitment as garner and like garner I am also terrible at football. He just runs about the park fouling people and rolling about the ground. His touch is terrible and so is his finishing.

Paying 1.8 million for him shows that Warburton does not have a clue about football.

04 Dec 2016 14:32:31
Whoooaa Coops. One semi decent performance since that result against Celtic does not let the team or MW off the hook.
That fight and determination is the minimum of what we expect as fans, week in week out.

IF (and it's a big IF) they can take this level through the next few games, then maybe the corner has been turned. I'm not holding my breath though, not negativity, just a learned behaviour taught to me by the very club I support with all my heart.

04 Dec 2016 15:16:29
garner is a great forward to have.

04 Dec 2016 15:36:47
Strange how you didn't come out with that post after the Hearts game as were posted missing until after yesterday's game. That result changes nothing.

04 Dec 2016 16:17:05
Well since day one Coop, I stated Garner was a waste and i still stand by it.
Lets not be kidded here, he was bought as a Goal scorer and at £1.8mil has been a total waste. let's not forget he is playing against very average defenders.

Young Dodoo puts his goals stats per min on the park in the shade but as per usual Warbs seems to have his favourites much to the detriment of the team at times.

04 Dec 2016 16:35:50
It could be said that result papers over the cracks and delays us making the necessary changes.

04 Dec 2016 17:33:37
IT looks like it's just you and me coops that still believe in warburton, I have full faith in the gaffer, he needs time but unfortunately most fans won't give him time to build our club the way that he wants to build, he will make rangers a force again but don't expect it overnight guys, just get behind him.

04 Dec 2016 17:40:28
Joe garner will prove all use doubters wrong, I love the wee man he's a nightmare for defenders, I just wish fans would give players and the gaffer time.

04 Dec 2016 17:42:11
Agree with what most are saying regarding Garner and his strike rate however, I don't half love the way he puts himself about.

04 Dec 2016 18:11:27
Some fans on here give me the impression they're wanting us to fail, i'm not kidding when I say this. BossHogg and biffo, nobody is saying we've turned any corner! Try and enjoy when we do have a good win and performance, like yesterday and hope like i do we can maintain that performance and get some consistency.

We've showed yesterday what we're capable of and if we get some consistency going we'll finish 2nd in the league, i've got no doubts about it!

04 Dec 2016 19:04:25
Biffo, I have constantly said on here that warburton and the team should be judged to where we are at the end of the season! Can you not grasp what i'm saying? Do you attend rangers games, a simple yes or no?

04 Dec 2016 13:05:00
hill will be missed against hearts he should be made captain hodson must play far better defender than tav.

04 Dec 2016 16:56:10
I fully agree on Hill. A better leader than Wallace, (although that would not be difficult)! We will miss him in the next game.

04 Dec 2016 12:52:43
Rangers need to play 4-4-2. This packing midfield gainst teams playing nine behind ball doesn't help us and he needs to use wingers to help open them up.

04 Dec 2016 11:25:52
DOIGER, U right bout our punching power at mo cause hat building over time. But LBH tims are pretty average side in league of nobodies. Two down against side who couldn't last ninety hence final score. Celtic probably got four good players in side and rest are horses.

04 Dec 2016 14:06:43
Id rather watch horses than donkeys.

04 Dec 2016 15:07:03
Away back to your cupboard Miss Hubbard and stop talking mince! Whilst you slowly build over time Celtic will continue to grow stronger. Have you even scored 4 goals in a game this season? And taking old firm bile to a new extreme there! Horses? Lololol.

04 Dec 2016 11:09:08
Forrester was a greedy ####! #! Sat. Waghorn was perfectly placed for forward to score and Forrester ain't no top notch goalscorer. We play as a team or Not At All.

04 Dec 2016 15:59:35
Talk mince, the ball would have been cut out and Forrester was unlucky not to score.

04 Dec 2016 11:01:44
Senderos is another you can't rely on. He can play/ pass from back which is why hat got him but that's bout it. We currently have three who wouldn't make centres for doughnuts. Decent centre top priority I think hence my last post FDB who is a blue nose, not in it for money, and knows bout centres.

04 Dec 2016 15:08:49
Yeah he's a total horse 🐴.

04 Dec 2016 18:02:56
Hubbard have you ever saw senderos play in his career? Couldn't pass water certainly wasn't brought in to pass the ball out from defence. No bad in air n doesn't mind putting his body in way, certainly not a ball playing centre half tho.

04 Dec 2016 10:33:24
Now let's see if we can go on a run until the end of the year. We've got Hearts, Hamilton, Inverness CT, St Johnstone and Celtic with three of them at home. If we can reach 28th Dec with five straight league wins (counting yesterday) then surely we will be up for a fight against Celtic? They are a good team but the phrase big fish in a small pond springs to mind. Unfortunately, we are medium-size fish at the moment. Motherwell scored three goals against them yesterday and in Europe they've been pretty well mullered so they are not that far ahead. I'd love to wipe the smug grin off Brenda's face.

04 Dec 2016 11:13:08
Medium sized fish, my ar#e, your currently just sardines, waiting to be consumed by the large sharks from paradise. C'mon the 31st, another serious blooding of the new rangers.

04 Dec 2016 11:17:39
Doiger, I hope we can find our consistency in these up and coming weeks. We really need a European place next season and hopefully we can show the rest of Scottish football that we can do a better job of qualifying for Europe than they lot did in our absence.

04 Dec 2016 11:18:27
See we are linked with attacking mid in Jan. Still think CB is priority feel every week we are going to have to score 2 goals to win very rarely look like keeping clean sheet.

04 Dec 2016 11:45:06
Well iamnoboyscout, in that case Barcelona must be a megalodon (sorry, you'd better look that one up given your limited brainpower) . And if celtic are sharks, then perhaps the BULL shark would be the appropriate species. Rangers were heading for four-in-a-row until the financial collapse and you know it. Tainted titles and absolutely zilch achieved in Europe during our time in the lower leagues. Enjoy this false period of glory as it will be over soon enough. We'll bide our time and when we are back it will be onwards and upwards for the world's greatest football club!

04 Dec 2016 12:38:57
Doiger, i believe you need to check your medication, its clearly not working, your clearly disillusioned in regard to your teams rebirth, no money, no decent players, stadium falling apart, unable to persuade share holders to issue new shares, continued losses, no investors. The future for new rangers is looking bleak, onwards and downwards.

04 Dec 2016 15:18:32
#Doiger Can you explain why Celtics titles were "tainted"? Asking for a friend.

04 Dec 2016 17:47:50
Your titles. Are tainted because you played nobody in nothing league winning nothing that could be construed as difficult. U then went on to embarass yourself in Europe.

04 Dec 2016 17:53:01
Tainted DEEAITCH because something bad happened that affected Rangers' ability to continue winning titles, i. e. the financial debacle. You must remember that wasn't the fault of the Rangers fans on this site nor the players. Celtic would NOT have gone on a run of five titles in a row had that not happened to Rangers. Simple as.

04 Dec 2016 18:30:38
You didn't win titles because you went into liquidation, simple fact, blame the board, blame the manager, but you twisted past 21 and went bust.

04 Dec 2016 22:45:47
I'm still confused why the titles are tainted Celtic won the titles against the teams who were actually in the league so they weren't tainted . Celtic won titles fair and square . It's not Celtics fault that Rangers went into financial meltdown. I take it you think because you weren't in CL past 4 seasons that was tainted as well.

04 Dec 2016 10:14:58
Hi guys, not been smart, but what are your thoughts on the ffp issue and how it might effect your club directly and others maybe undirectly.

04 Dec 2016 10:23:25
@TTTS - FFP never stopped PSG and City playing in Europe. I believe you get a suspended sentence for a season then you have to be seen to be dealing with it before any ban would kick in?

04 Dec 2016 10:12:25
It's only Sunday and yet I can't wait for next Saturday. I really hope the atmosphere at Ibrox crackles like it did against the sheep molesters. I'm a bit concerned though that big Clint hill is missing because I thought Wilson and keirnan were rank rotten against the tarts on Wednesday. Would anyone else prefer to see senderos in at the back?

04 Dec 2016 10:27:49
@yogibear72 - I had a dig at you for your attitude towards the team but know its just because we all care about our great club so for that I apologise. Atmosphere was brilliant on Saturday, long may it continue. It might have just been the result to kick start our season .
I'm like you Keirnan and Wilson don't fill me with confidence but us Senderos up to the task?

04 Dec 2016 11:02:06
It's all in the heat of the moment union jack. No need for apologies. It twists my guts when the team play like thwy did against hearts but, what a good response from the team. I think that might have been a better atmosphere than that when the tinks come to town. I'm not sure about senderos but, my point was really about the Wilson and keirnan combo.

04 Dec 2016 09:34:06
Would Frank De Boer manage us. Although he prefers 4-3-3 too.

04 Dec 2016 10:49:49
Warbs will manage us just fine. We will have ups and downs this season but ultimately we will finish 2nd. Get some reinforcememts in January to help. We just beat allegedly the 2nd best team in scotland. Give some credit to players and the manager.

04 Dec 2016 15:16:56
You got beat 2-0 off the second best team in Scotland on Wednesday! Aberdeen are dire this season as was proved in the most one sided cup final I can remember.

04 Dec 2016 16:28:08
@tompo88 - sorry but the league table doesn't lie - we are currently the 2nd best team.

04 Dec 2016 18:06:57
Rfc Chris were u not wanting rid of him after wed?

04 Dec 2016 07:40:19
I really don't know where all this doom and gloom, on here, is coming from. Warbs has gone from the magic hat to the mad hatter. What short memories, for long periods of last season we were very poor, and now we expect to be outplaying Barcelona.

I thought we would finish second in a tough fight with Hearts and Aberdeen, in fact I have 3 bets in one way or another on it. Did I think we would be much closer to Celtic? YES, but let's be honest and admit they have moved on.

04 Dec 2016 12:36:17
Totally agree, let's see how close we are by the end of the season. i'm positive Warburton is the right man for the job and will prove his critics wrong.
