Just seen on sky sports news that Mark Warburton met with Nottingham forest owner Al Hasawi this month but wasn't offered the job. That should stand rangers in good stead if it goes to court. Surely meeting the owner of another club without your own clubs permission gives us grounds to terminate his contract anyway.
Oh well, I held him in higher regards than he had for us rangers supporters. Cheerio Mr Magic Hat, good luck getting your dole money lol.

Actually felt sorry for warbuton that things just didn't work out, ismuch as I wanted him to succeed at rangers for the person he made himself out to be, but after hearing all this I couldn't give a monkeys were he ends up, disloyalty to the club and support, used us as a stepping stone, no respect what so ever, I even thought more of Davie Weir RATS

2.) 11 Feb 2017 21:58:28
We should get John terry in as player manager just as one person suggested on here.

3.) 12 Feb 2017 02:21:18
And you shot me down in flames for that suggestion Rick Witter!

4.) 12 Feb 2017 11:29:40
Do you really think I'm being serious when I say that!

5.) 12 Feb 2017 12:18:56
I'm sorry, but anybody who thinks any player or manager doesn't use Scottish as a stepping stone is an idiot.

Some reports out today that the young lad gilmore has chosen to join Chelsea. It's a shame if it's true, I think he would have been a class player for the teddy bears in the near future. All the best to the wee lad, hope he develops into the top player it looks like he will become. Good luck Billy.

1.) 29 Jan 2017 12:02:21
Money talks yogi, such a shame if true, I don't understand these moves, play first team football at rangers, or waste away in London

2.) 29 Jan 2017 12:09:43
Really don't get the motivation apart from money. Gauld, Feruz, Wilson do these youngsters not learn?

3.) 29 Jan 2017 12:11:13
Chelsea have a terrible record of bringing young players through to there 1st team. John terry is probably the last 1. So his parents should think long and hard about move to chelsea and forget the £ signs.

4.) 29 Jan 2017 12:20:42
I know delboy, I wish he had chosen to stay at Ibrox. 100 grand is the reported sum. Mind you karma is a batch, we've done it to Accrington and leister and we're trying to get the Murphy lad from villa. Can't complain too much about chelski doing the same to us. Your right though it's a shame we might be losing one of our most promising youngsters.

5.) 29 Jan 2017 13:13:05
No doubt he's a talent but regardless how old he is, if he doesn't want to play for us then let home go

6.) 29 Jan 2017 17:29:33
if the lad is as good as reported then rangers should offer him a contract that would temp the lad to sign and gaurentee him first team involment in his contract 5 6k week for a highly promising younster is a no brainer if he is as good as reported look at some of the so called players at our club that are sitting on these wages already to keep our best young players wee need to take a game gamble if not would be better closing the acedemy now and save the money

7.) 29 Jan 2017 18:36:41
Agree wae u Craig mate 2 grandma week would tempt boy to sign that's not a big wage for somebody with as much potential as him

8.) 29 Jan 2017 18:55:37
You could offer the boy £10k a week but if he wants to go to Chelsea then there's nothing we can do.
The fact is we can't compete with these kinda clubs, they have more money and a better set up, I don't blame anyone for wanting to move on to better things so if he wants to go then he'll go

9.) 29 Jan 2017 20:29:10
the boys heid has been wasted, probably never hear of him again, probably people burning his earhole with garbage about him being wasted at rangers or how good he is

10.) 29 Jan 2017 20:47:44
I did tel everyone about this the other day and was shot down in flames

maybe people on this should start actually taking some things seriously but maybe that's just due too some of the guff some people make up

11.) 29 Jan 2017 20:52:58
We keep blaming the boy but how do we know that it is not the parents and perhaps there are incentives for them as well as the boy. Strangely enough these things happen and parents are usually more at fault that the youngsters!

12.) 30 Jan 2017 13:39:37
That is spot on tom, most of the time the parents have the final say with young players of Gilmores age

13.) 30 Jan 2017 16:01:44
Tom, I remember about 25 years ago we offered a 15-year-old £15k to sign for us, an English club offered his parents £25k and the lad went there. He never made it past the youth setup and spent years playing junior football. Just one of many I know about. If Gilmour and his parents want to grab a quick buck at the risk of losing millions, it's their decision.

14.) 30 Jan 2017 17:36:21
most of our first team isn't hitting the 10 grand a week mark so what on earth deludes you guys into thinking a wee boy with potential is worth anywhere near that I say offer him 500 quid a week if he it then let him go but I will say the 10 grand a week at Chelsea se they will probs give him 2 grand or something he is only about to turn 16

15.) 30 Jan 2017 18:42:27
wee-ecky, i agree. as matter of interest can you remember who the player was 25 years ago?

Have we furloughed our youth teams?
If we have then we shouldn't be paying transfer fees for any player this month. I'd go as far as saying that would be disgraceful behaviour from Rangers if they do. What's everyone's thoughts?

Yogibear72

1.) 24 Jan 2021 14:58:02
To be fair I agree yogi bear.

2.) 24 Jan 2021 15:02:43
I don’t see a problem with it if we go down that route Scottish clubs losing a lot of money at the moment.

3.) 24 Jan 2021 15:15:39
OMG AFTER US AWE LAUGHING A5 THEM OUR CLUB COMES OUT N MAKES US LAUGHING STOCK AM FUMING.

4.) 24 Jan 2021 15:47:21
I don't know if Rangers have furloughed our youth players but I do know that Celtic have done just that after spending obscene amounts of money on their 'training trip' to Dubai. Shouldn't be allowed and I hope Rangers, if they have furloughed any youth players, respect that and don't spend large sums of money on new players.

5.) 24 Jan 2021 16:10:06
dsgersfan where has it been said that we have furloughed our youth teams?

6.) 24 Jan 2021 18:05:02
Don't see the issue with us or any other club using Furlough.

All clubs have lost vast sums of money through no fault of their own so no matter what we have in the bank we should not suffer financially any more than any other business.

We pay tax to governments partly as an insurance policy for things that mere mortals cannot control.

7.) 24 Jan 2021 18:11:17
Don’t see an issue with furlough it’s a business after all and lots of businesses are taking advantage of the scheme to maintain employment in the long term.
However if you e just blown a fortune on a stag do in Dubai that is morally wrong.
The above only applies if you have morals.

22 Jan 2021 20:53:04
The young lad Dickson has just signed a contract extension. That's a cracking piece of business.
He looks like a very tidy young central midfielder. Well done young man and well done Rangers. Youth is the future!

Yogibear72

1.) 22 Jan 2021 23:01:49
We've a throughbred in Jamie barjonas who is not even quoted now, I really worry about our youth players progressing to first team nowadays.

2.) 22 Jan 2021 23:16:13
Barjonas has never been good enough.

3.) 23 Jan 2021 01:11:44
I liked baron as thought or rather think he looks a great wee player, needs a run in the team say 6 -8-10 games to be judged. I think now is the time to do that whilst scotty and jack are out. Kamara s went slightly off the ball and zungu isn’t getting played. Think young Kelly may take his place possibly sending barjonas ul tk Ross county in his place on loan?

18 Jan 2021 15:10:09
I see the wee troll is in full meltdown mode. Celtic didn't do anything wrong and are being bullied due to their C.V. situation. Aye right ya wee bam!
You flew out to a different country during a global C.V. for a training camp/ holiday RnR session.
Why didn't you consult the Scottish Government before flying out? You were given permission to go at a time when the C.V. challenge rate was dropping but, you should have clarified the position before flying out.
CFC always cheated and bullied, never defeated or their fault.

Yogibear72

1.) 18 Jan 2021 16:19:40
And the guy that got C.V. at the TRAINING CAMP was a guy that couldn’t train anyway because he was injured. Couldn’t make it up.

17 Jan 2021 15:19:37
I see the unwashed are claiming the ref handed us the draw as Itten was offside!
I've seen the goal several times and I think Gallagher plays him onside. Its tight but, I think he's onside. I wish they would quit all the whingeing and moaning, I remember several occasions in past seasons where the ref helped them out, and in one of those seasons it was something like 3 times against Motherwell in quick succession and now look at them pure Ragin! What a laugh they lot are.

Yogibear72

1.) 17 Jan 2021 15:35:44
And btw Campbell was offside at their goal. He made to go for the ball as it came across so technically offside.

2.) 17 Jan 2021 15:35:58
I never noticed it at the time but it’s irrelevant as it’s been given.

3.) 17 Jan 2021 15:50:26
Aye they won a cup based on a offside decision but the usual sweep sweep sweep.

4.) 17 Jan 2021 16:09:08
I'm quite happy to hear them banging on about how lucky we are. It means they are missing the point about us being so far in front of them. It's their complacency that has cost them. As long as that continues they won't catch us.
That being said, we need to improve. Hopefully we'll get Jack, Arfield and Roofe back as they are all missed.

18 Mar 2017 22:15:10
I'm sure Warburton said something like "it's about bringing in players that are value for money and have a sell on value. "
Well Mr Magic Hat, if you want tav then get your cheque book out and show us the colour of your currency. Tav has played pretty well the last few games so I'd say 5-6 million, special Warburton price there.

Yogibear72

1.) 19 Mar 2017 00:14:15
5/ 6 million is possibly a bit high, over inflated english prices though would dictate that price! coming from scotland though I reckon no one will pay more than 2.5/ 3 million for him or any other player in our team! bring it on tho!

perfect example of mental englsh prices is 1.8m for Garner! IMO

2.) 19 Mar 2017 07:38:14
Hahahaha you are all mental! The only thing that is overinflated are your delusional heads. £2/ 3, 5 or 6 million for Tavernier! Hahahaha

3.) 19 Mar 2017 08:01:38
Your missing my point lads, that's a special Warburton only price. If someone else comes in for him we should accept anything over 1million.
I wouldn't sell mark Warburton the steam off my turd for any less than 6 million lol

4.) 19 Mar 2017 08:02:46
I think £1.5m would be the most we may get

5.) 19 Mar 2017 12:34:29
If it's 40 million for demjelly legs then Tav must be worth 15 million.

Some player during his time at Schalke, had a bit of a nightmare since moving to the EPL. I would rather we got someone who has more sell on potential.

Couldn't agree more Swany9. Some things just take time. Getting the right people in place is crucial to our future. Patients guy's, it'll happen when it happens.

YouTube could make Robbie keirnan look good. Don't take it too seriously. The best way to judge a player is good old fashioned scouting imo.

Your right bud it just shouldn't have happened full stop. There should have been no need to raise this money. The people responsible need to be dealt with and harshly too.

The breach of our C.V. protocols is unforgivable from those 5 players in my opinion however, Rangers were mentioned when Nicola Sturgeon was hammering Celtic for their holiday in Dubai and now Celtic get mentioned when she was talking about our 5 rule breakers.
That's sounds to me like both Rangers and Celtic as the country's two leading clubs are being made an example of which is fair enough.
NL and CS whinging about how unfairly Celtic have been treated is an utter joke just like their whole season, management, squad and fans. Always Cheated Never Defeated. This is Our time and no amount of their bitterness will change that. Let's go!
