Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

03 Aug 2016 23:07:26
So has anyone actually got realstic clue as to who we are going to bring in next? . if anybody.

03 Aug 2016 23:21:45
Lots of distractions today on social media. Not a lot of room for online rumours about who we're signing.

Everyone's too busy with the kit news and them playing tonight.

Maybe the rumours will start again tomorrow, who can tell?

03 Aug 2016 23:27:01
I think that'll be it. Think this squad will do very well to finish top 3. This season will be about consolidating, win a cup and qualify for Europa. Realistically, I think this would be viewed as a very successful first season back in the PL. Think they've good chance of top 6, although not a gimme!

03 Aug 2016 23:43:29
Its all went quiet. think we may Wait until the last day of transfer window.

04 Aug 2016 00:33:48
Heard it someone whos contract has expired.

04 Aug 2016 08:28:05
Heard no 1 at present? more later in year if needed.

03 Aug 2016 20:12:30
Think people will highly criticize my team but I would like to see the starting eleven for Saturday be:

Wes

Tav Wilson Kiernan Wallace

Barton
Rossiter Kranjcar

O'Halloran McKay
Doddo

If Windass is fit I would maybe have him in and also feel bad for Halliday. Even though scoring Waghorn has scored four I still don't think he's been the best and would like to see Doddo get a start to try and prove what he can do. In all honesty I wouldn't like to be in Warburtons position finally feels good to have the hard choice of players.

03 Aug 2016 22:28:12
Waghorn will start the game I've no doubt about that i think he will get 20 goals this season for us.

03 Aug 2016 23:15:04
Wes
Tav Wilson hill Wallace
Barton
Rossiter Niko
Oh mck
Wags
That's the starting 11.

04 Aug 2016 07:10:14
So we are using 2 defensive midfielders now are we? Rossiter isn't a box to box player he is a holding mid just like Barton.

04 Aug 2016 07:39:48
I would have

Wes
Tav
Hill
Wilson
Wallace
Rossiter
Barton
Halliday
Mckay
Dodoo
Wags

Yes i have 2 defensive mids but doesn't mean they can't push up at times and with Wallace and Tavs bombing forward, they can cover, i would also have Niko on the bench and bring him on for 30 mins or so, i would do this in a few games, he still needs to get completely match fit.

Just announced in the sat half hour Rangers have been in talks with Puma and got nowhere. They just found out on Friday this was going to happen as Phma had made more tops out with sports direct numbers. It would appear that this does not have the backing of the Rangers Board.

03 Aug 2016 20:22:43
Club has made a formal statement, go to rangers. co. uk to see it
It is absolutely clear that any sale of new kits does not have the backing of the Club.
There are a number of contracts in place, some of which are being challenged. It is highly likely the Club cannot explicitly say don't buy the kit for reasons which could potentially compromise the contract/ legal arguments. The message not to buy is clear.
Buying kits impacts the Club's leverage to change the relationships and change the pitiful amount he club gets from purchases. It puts money into Puma and SD and makes the situation less likely to change. Starve them of cash.

03 Aug 2016 23:06:12
Puma sending strips out to sports shops to sell as of say without rangers say so. rangers keeping an eye on process as they have not agreed to it. sports direct also gona start selling them. rangers own the crest and have say so with who sells them so i would imagine a court case with rangers puma and sports direct gona happen.

this could be the start of the end as i would imagine that they are doing so outeith agreed contract so hopefully rangers will be able to terminate it. rangers keeping cards close to there chest so i'd imagine announcement will be made as soon as sport shops start selling them.

03 Aug 2016 23:30:51
Bongo i was just reading the same story mate, but i won't be buying anything from any new tops from any sports outlets until the club tell us otherwise, i would hope more of our support will abandon these new tops as it only profits one very fat greedy slave driver, we get pennies from this deals, unlike the poor people working working in these sweat shops, they get paid enough to keep them alive,

03 Aug 2016 23:24:57
Looks like puma will be on the boycott list as well.

03 Aug 2016 23:27:49
Bongo, we can be sure on one thing mate, puma will be ditched quite rightly by our club and won't be making our kits after this year even though the deal with puma has another season to run after this one, they have badly betrayed rangers and sided with sports direct and we must all back our club and stick together, don't buy these new kits!

You hurt glasgow rangers then you hurt each and everyone of us! I did post weeks ago that we were negotiating with under armour in the event of something like this happening, my preference would be nike to become our new kit makers again although I wouldn't mind adidas or the big japanese sports makers uniqlo, what's all our thoughts fellow bears?

03 Aug 2016 22:52:03
I agree with you Ian and hope nobody is buying any kit before we gain ground against Ashley.

It's either a brave or daft man that walks in to Ibrox wearing this new strip!

The contract with this guy is like a disease and we are in seven years of remission.

03 Aug 2016 23:49:44
Sports direct went behind the clubs back. Do not buy the strips guys. If you pay £50 for a top rangers only get £2.

03 Aug 2016 23:34:17
Very disappointed in puma in their stance by siding with sports direct, big mistake by a worldwide renowned sportswear manufacturer imo, I now hope to god we ditch them take our chances in court with both sports direct and puma and find a new sportswear brand to become our new kit manufacturers starting from next season, would love either nike, adidas and the monster japanese company uniqlo, let's take our chances in court and club and supporters alike, stick together as ONE on this!

04 Aug 2016 08:15:04
Fat Ashley has shares in puma hence why Rangers went there and also why Newcastle are there.

04 Aug 2016 08:29:33
damn av just bought 2 taps fae greaves there well at least that's 10 pence in the club coffers.

03 Aug 2016 18:27:39
Dom Ball apparently in demand down south with Leeds showing strong interest, think he was most peoples back up plan. i'm sure we are working hard behind the scenes but its really vital to our season to get a 1st choice cb in now.

03 Aug 2016 19:54:28
Leeds appear to be the new Celtic everybody were linked with the want as well!

03 Aug 2016 23:47:35
As much as I rate Dom ball for the future I really don't think he would be the answer for our defence this season.

03 Aug 2016 17:54:27
Anyone going to be brave enough to wear the new shirt to Ibrox on Saturday?

Why would they? I get that some of the young ones going along would like to wear it.

But we've all been in the same situation when we were younger and wanted to be the first to be seen wearing it. Back then it'd be a sign of being proud and being united with fellow bears.

Now it's a completely filthy stain on the club. May as well come to Ibrox wearing a green and white shirt with Celtic written across the front and back.

03 Aug 2016 18:16:51
I would guess there isn't another professional team in the world gets less from merchandise than we do. It's an absolute disgrace and unfortunately I can't see it changing.

03 Aug 2016 18:23:26
Not a chance il wear one until cashleys gone which doesn't look likely soon. I know its not the same as having the new strip but maybe it could be organised for fans to donate old kids strips to be given away at matches. Retro is back!

03 Aug 2016 18:36:19
Greaves sports tweeted that kit won't be sold in there shop without clearence from the club.

03 Aug 2016 18:48:58
It would appear from the Rangers announcement that this does not have the backing, as talks with Puma got nowhere, these are additional tops made out with the S D order.

03 Aug 2016 23:12:56
Sadly some (I mean a lot) of people will continue to shop at sports direct come what may, for the reason they are cheaper than the alternatives.

Perhaps think why it is cheaper, it's because sports direct have spent last decade forcing independent sports shops out of business then buying their stock from administrators and liquidators.

They also exploit their workers with their 'Victorian' business practices. And now they have market cornered it doesn't matter what people think because people have to go to effort to shop elsewhere - something people won't do. There are consequences.

That's without even mentioning his actions toward our club - because we should all be boycotting this evil enterprise anyway.

I personally will never buy anything than MA gets a cut of - I would rather pay a few quid more to know it's not going to him.

In the case of our strip that means not buying it. Simple as.

03 Aug 2016 23:35:25
Bongo most fans in the upper stands should drape flags over the puma signs there imho, ashleys lackeys in my eyes. let's stand fully united against this person.

04 Aug 2016 08:41:15
Did we not take money from Puma in sponsorship?
"RANGERS Football Club today announced a new five-year kit deal with leading SportsLifestyle brand PUMA who will become the official supplier and licensee of replica merchandise for the club. "
From what i remember our fans groups in 2014 were not overly concerned as according to information which was allowed to be gleamed due to being a listed company and transparency was then allowed, that
the fo;;owing was part of deal?
- Retail Discussion
o Rangers have a financial dividend coming at the end of December from Sports Direct
o £600,000 lost between the two shops (Belfast and Glasgow Airport)
o Discussion around working with our partners, Sports Direct, and the benefits to
Rangers
o We’re on a royalty deal with Puma where the club get approx. £10 per shirt sold.

Shope etc gone. hey ho. but if Puma paying us £10 every shirt sold? who the hell is "grumping"
If this is true which our fans group new to be true in 2014 and this deal lasts for 5 years? then someone is telling porkies, ?
Hidden agendas again? i hope bloody not if we are getting £10 a shirt is that not around 2mill for selling 200,00 tops? can't complain about that? why are we?

04 Aug 2016 15:24:30
I cannot see any evidence that we will get anything from this shirt sale.

The cut you reffer to was if people buy from puma direct, not from other retailers.

Please look at the history of this deal before making ridiculous statements like we will get 2million. We won't.

03 Aug 2016 17:51:11
Hello, new to this, my first post so dnt know if this has been mentioned, but is chris samba a free agent? and does anyone think he could be a good CB for us?

03 Aug 2016 20:32:18
Chris samba would be a cracking signing for us and exactly the type of centre half we need, I think he is a free agent Dutchboy 1.

03 Aug 2016 22:30:03
I seen senderos is too but not seen him play in yrs mby we could tke a look at him he's 31, but wages could be a problem.

03 Aug 2016 16:28:33
Balotelli to Rangers - You heard it here first!

I don't know why but I have a feeling this could be the sensational deal that McParland was talking about.

He needs to rebuild his career as it appears no one in England or Italy wants him, he will score goals for fun up here and he will love the fact he will be idolised at Ibrox. Wages might prove to be a stumbling block but I think Liverpool could do a good deal with us as he has one year left on his contract.

Balotelli has to put himself in the shop window to get a decent move at the end of his contract.

Watch this space!

03 Aug 2016 17:14:40
Not a chance.

03 Aug 2016 17:19:46
Barton would end up smashing him lol "! "

03 Aug 2016 17:34:56
No chance! The guy is a nutter anyway! He let fireworks off in his bathroom! Lol.

03 Aug 2016 17:37:13
I'm actually agreeing with you on this one biffo - he is absolute mince, wouldn't want him near the club -.

03 Aug 2016 17:38:42
No chance, at least it's on the banter page, because that's all it it. banter.

03 Aug 2016 17:45:36
When do the Premier League teams name their squads?

Imagine at least one, likely the striker option will be a loan from the premier league.

Wouldn't take Dom Ball back. We need a better CB than him. If we can use Mcparlands connections at Liverpool to get Tiago Ilori that'd be ideal.

03 Aug 2016 17:56:12
Any man who let's fireworks off in his bathroom will fit right in. We had Gazza remember lol.

03 Aug 2016 18:29:15
See this score goals for fun in our league crap, does that mean waghorn and Miller are absolute mince, cause they don't exactly score barrel loads of goals.

03 Aug 2016 19:56:39
Bazzabear I salute your imagination, if not your reasoning.

03 Aug 2016 23:05:28
Memaself Waghorn and Miller haven't even played in that league yet for this teAm, Miller got 20 before Xmas last time he was in it though so your whole post is completely pointless. Back under your rock please.

03 Aug 2016 22:51:11
More chance of him going to the eastenders was it not big Brenda who signed him?

03 Aug 2016 16:46:14
First time poster here. This may be a comment that some won't even care about but I'll go for it anyway.
I've noticed in the preseason and cup games that Joey Barton will not let anyone else take free kicks in scoring areas. I can't help but think this may hurt us in the long run with the likes of Tav, Halliday and Kranjcar to use. This is in no way a knock at Barton as I think he has been great and will be great in future! I just hope his ego doesn't get in the way and he steps aside to let better freekick takers have their chances.

03 Aug 2016 17:02:01
He and Tav were not really on the pitch together when we got any dangerous free kick positions. I'm sure Tav will resume free kick duties as per, with Barton getting the odd 1 in there. I did notice this myself though the game Hodson started and Barton, Barton kept taking the ball away from Harry Forrester haha.

03 Aug 2016 15:02:57
I have seen people suggesting various first 11's and positions that I don't agree with (e. g. Windass up front) so I wanted to get people's thoughts on how we will set up and who can play what roles.

I think we will change slightly, still 4-3-3 but rather than 2 forward playing mids we play just one. So where Halliday was we have Barton and instead of the forward linking holt we would have someone with their eye on covering defence (box to box) like Rossiter.

We have several players who can play several poistions. So here are the players and possible positions.

GK - Foderingham/ Gilks - Obvs!

RB - Tav/ Hodson
CB - Kiernan/ Hill/ Crooks/ Wilson
LB - Wallace/ Hodson

CDM - Crooks/ Barton/ Rossiter
B2B - Rossiter/ Halliday/ Holt
AM - Windass/ Kranjcar/ Forrester

LW - McKay/ Dodoo/ Kranjcar
ST - Miller/ Waggy/ MOH
RW - Waggy/ Dodoo/ Forrester/ MOH.

03 Aug 2016 16:27:04
I'm sure that Warburton will rotate the team to varying degrees depending on the opposition and wither we are home or away. Form will come into it but I believe he will make a conscious effort to have all the players involved throughout the season and also adapt the team line up to suit certain tactics, ie- defensive shape built for the counter or attacking system built for domination play at Ibrox.

Here are my 2 example teams for these situations.

Defensive,

Foderingham

Hodgson, Kiernan, Hill, Wallace

Crooks, Barton

Rossiter

Ohalloran, Waghorn, mckay

Attacking,

Fod

Tav, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace

Barton

Windass, Kranjcar

Dodoo, Waghorn, Mckay

Bare in mind these are just examples but I believe the team will be altered something to this effect throughout the season.

03 Aug 2016 17:16:40
Why do people still insist in putting Kiernan and Wilson together when it doesn't work.

03 Aug 2016 17:37:12
Because Wilson and Hill together is worse IMO. Hill has even less pace than Kiernan which is the main criticism of our defence, and its not the first time I have said this but I seen a lot of Hill before he came to us and I never rated him. Always seemed a man down for me, yes playing at a higher level but let's face it, at 37 he hasn't got any better since then.

That and the fact I just find 2 left footed centre backs playing together an awkward prospect.

Ideally we sign a better right sided centre back to play alongside Wilson, with some pace and Arial ability.

03 Aug 2016 19:26:32
Wilson and kiernan are the best available.

03 Aug 2016 15:40:14
Is nobody else thinking we should be playing Hodson at right back and pushing Tavernier further up the park into more of a winger role? He's shown time and time again that he's dangerous going forward but does get caught out when defending, where as Hodson seems to me like a solid defender.

03 Aug 2016 15:54:48
Attacking as a right winger and attacking as a RB are 2 totally different propositions. At RB, the player has more time and space to see his options and come onto the play with plenty of space, as a winger, you are, or should be, getting marked by a full back and at least 1 other player in as cover, giving less time and space to make decisions and beat your man.

It is no guarantee that Tavernier would look half as effective in attack as a winger. Better to sort out his, and the teams in general, defensive play and keep with the wingers we already have in abundance IMO.

03 Aug 2016 16:38:24
Well said just2see.

03 Aug 2016 17:05:38
Hey, you can be nice ;)

cheers.

03 Aug 2016 19:58:54
Not very often, but I have my moments.

03 Aug 2016 15:18:08
Why are so many people leaving Waggy out of their current best 11? The guy was our top scorer last season and already has 4 in 2 games this season. What more do you want?

03 Aug 2016 16:04:10
To be honest the goals in the cup count for nothing really and Wags could/ should have scored more than that given the standard of opposition. I found it frustrating watching how reluctant he is to have a go with his right foot, makes him really predictable and he missed out on numerous chances because he makes it too easy for the player to close him down on his left foot.

Having said that, for where we are as a club, I am happy enough with Waghorn myself, he is a capable player. I do however hope he plays mostly from the right side and cuts in on the left from there because he just looks awkward at times through the middle.

That for me is the difference between him and Griffiths (the rat) . Griffiths is almost all left foot but he can mix it up when pushed to and go with the right, making him more effective through the middle. Waghorn is just all left foot which cuts down his angles of play. Honestly think he could add about 25% to his tally simply by mixing it up now and then and taking it on his weaker foot, keeps the defender guessing if nothing else.

03 Aug 2016 16:10:55
Well said! StuAC.
I can't understand the thinking. He isn't on his best form but he's still performing miles ahead of all our other options.

04 Aug 2016 11:53:36
He came back for pre season early and looks fitter than he did last season. Yes he's all left foot but if he was two footed and scored 40 goals a season he wouldn't be at rangers. He missed chances in the league cup but bare in mind this was pretty much pre season and he scored 4 goals in 2 starts. For he's a first pick until the goals dry up or he loses form.

Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Just ordered Rangers FC Home Shirt 2016/17

03 Aug 2016 15:20:59
Y wood you do that when the fat cat gets the cash.

03 Aug 2016 15:45:08
Rangers ready to launch legal bid as Mike Ashley prepares to sell the jerseys without club go-ahead.

03 Aug 2016 13:48:27
Who is your current Favourite Ranger and who is your all time favourite Ranger and why?

For me currently my favourite player is McKay because he's a class act and can do anything and my all time favourite Ranger is super Ally because no one will pass his scoring record.

03 Aug 2016 14:24:02
Lee Wallace as he could have walked and has done a good job since arriving.

In 36 years of supporting the club, my favourite player has to be Davie Cooper, who was just class.

03 Aug 2016 15:15:36
My current favourite player is kenny Miller, but my all time favourite was supper ally, I idolised him growing up.

03 Aug 2016 15:20:06
hear, hear. Cullin72 Both players get my vote.

03 Aug 2016 15:32:14
Agree with both you

Current favourite player is our captain Lee Wallace. Always delivers, didn't walk when the rest did and is everything you expeact in a Rangers captian

Super Ally McCoist think how much money he would cost if he was playing now? Took more greaf and worked under worse conditions than any manager in our history.

03 Aug 2016 15:39:37
windass (looks a great signing) and Brian laudrap the best player to grace Scottish football.

03 Aug 2016 15:53:07
best 11 anyone?

03 Aug 2016 15:08:19
Currently it's McKay
Past it has to be Daventry Cooper.

03 Aug 2016 15:10:20
Currently it's McKay
Past it has to be Dave Cooper.

03 Aug 2016 17:19:53
Anotherbear

Also endorsed every chancer that came through the doors at Ibrox, claimed he didn't know how much money he was on, played some of the worst football ever seen at Ibrox and would quite happily let McKay leave for nothing.

03 Aug 2016 18:07:39
Yeah but craig whyte and charles green. He had no chance to actually build a positive atmosphere since the club was in consistent turmoil at the time. We don't really know what was going in the background but it wasn't good. Ally gets the benefit of the doubt for me, for the fact his is a Rangers legend and and fan and no one can deny that.

03 Aug 2016 22:32:04
McKay and Davie Cooper lots of people say Laudrup and Gazza but I was at a match the Dryborough Cup game v Celtic and nobody before or in future will do what Coop did with the ball for THAT goal at the game it was that far away and over that quickly most people that saw it thought they were exaggerating describing it then years later seeing that amateur video you saw the pure genius that was Coop

Great person too and the best penalty taker ever.

03 Aug 2016 23:59:52
Kenny Miller used to be play from smelltic . Lest we forget. Current fav: lee Wallace, legend and true gentlemen. All time fav: Super Ally. Love that guy.

03 Aug 2016 23:03:57
Biffo mate, they said favourite player, not manager. Super ally is a legend. Quality player. Not the greatest manager but he did a job not many others would do and under unworkable conditions. Remember he had no support, scouting etc was a joke. Frank McP doing the heavy lifting for MW. Cut Super Ally some slack. He loves this club just like us.

04 Aug 2016 08:26:40
Biffo would you go to your work for poor wages?

Wasn't a great manager and the football was terrible but like I said worked under the worse working conditions than any manager in our history . If you can name me a better Rangers striker I would love to here this?

Regards

AnotherBear.

03 Aug 2016 13:42:51
The new Center Half will be a loan once the English top flight register players then magic hat will be all over it.

03 Aug 2016 12:22:11
New Rangers Kit available on UniSportStore's website. £76 including delivery (Price is given in Euros) . Whether or not rangers are seeing much of that money remains to be seen.

03 Aug 2016 13:13:23
Isn't that the most important question?

I'd rather wear an old top than give money to Ashley via back door.

03 Aug 2016 13:21:52
Be surprised if anyone shows up in a new Rangers top Saturday unless the club comes out (which they likely will) and tell the fans what to do.

People can't keep themselves from buying no matter what the cost or who the money goes too.

03 Aug 2016 13:50:28
Even if rangers were getting every penny I wouldn't pay £76! Wearing the one with the big white collar from 10/ 11, not bought one since.

03 Aug 2016 14:04:37
Why doesn't fan group release an unofficial retro style top that would fund the club and we can all buy with confidence? Just an idea.

Obviously it couldn't have the current club crest on it so why not use an older version.

03 Aug 2016 23:06:31
Spoc that's by far the worst Rangers top ever made. Took mine back 4 times cause it never made it out my washing machine alive after one wash.

03 Aug 2016 12:09:45
Who do you think our best 11 is?

Fod

Hodson Wilson Hill Wallace (c)

Rossiter

Windass Holt

O'Halleron Dodoo Mckay

I feel players like Tav and Waghorn are over rated. I think Rossiter and Crooks are our best signings this summer and Crooks would feature in defence over Hill of we don't sign a centre back. Barton and kranjcar in particular are currently lacking fitness and I don't believe that Niko currently has the legs to oust the likes of Windass and Holt for that position. For me Rossiter is the best signing we have made in decades when you consider it was for £250k. Hodson makes the defence look a lot more solid and has really impressed me considering Tav can't defend. Good time to be a Ranger.

03 Aug 2016 12:24:43
I think hodson is a better fullback than tavernier but I think tavernier will start on saturday I also wouldn't be surprised if it's the same back 4 from last season like you say I wouldn't start barton are kranjcar because of lack of fitness. Rossiter has to start. And I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same front 3 from last season. I personally don't think miller should be near first 11.

03 Aug 2016 13:10:32
I personally wouldn't start Kranjcar either.

Foderingham

Tavernier
Kiernan
Wilson
Wallace

Barton
Halliday
Rossiter

McKay
Dodoo
O'Halloran.

03 Aug 2016 13:34:39
Foderingham

Wallace
Wilson
Hill
Tavernier

Barton
Rossiter
Halliday

McKay
Waggy
Windass

Dodoo and MOH on for Waggy and Windass after the hour.
This would be my 11 v a good team. Against a lesser team Niko would be in instead of Halliday, a just feel a midfield of Barton, Rossiter and Haliday would boss any midfield in the country. Niko is a great weapon to have but until he's fit he's a luxury in the big games. When he's fit he's in in front of Haliday for me. A feel sorry for Holt and Forrester but a can't see them starting many this year. They both needed a great pre season and unfortunately none of them have.
I like Hodson but anyone starting him over Tav needs their head seen to after the amount of goals and assists he contributed last year. Take his stats out our team last year and we wouldn't have won the league, simple.

03 Aug 2016 13:38:33
Foferingham

tav
kiernan
wilson
wallace

barton
rossiter
windass

waggy
dodoo
mckay.

03 Aug 2016 13:41:28
Many people disagree without actually telling me why usual then. Who would you rather start? Haliday Kranjcar Barton like we did on Saturday providing literally no drive or pace in midfield. We have 3 cb's and RK is notoriously the worst of the bunch. Tav can't defend for shit let's not pretend that he can in comparison to Hodson who actually looks a defender. Miller won't cut it this season. Waghorn has had one good season against nobody's and as usual goes missing in big games (Burnley on Saturday) . I didn't say who would start on saturday I said who do you think or best eleven is and for me currently this is our best eleven and to justify otherwise would be interesting for me to read but as usual people just down vote if you say anything negative. I don't know how Haliday gets any where near your eleven with our current squad.

Foderingham

Tav, Crooks, Wilson, Wallace

Barton, Rossiter,

Kranjcar,

Wags, Windass, McKay.

That's the team i'd pick but fully expect Kiernan, Halliday and Miller to play this weekend.

03 Aug 2016 14:12:31
I agree rositter was an excellent capture, I don't however get why people are hailing crooks before the guy has even kicked a ball for us.

Halliday is decent and you can't fault his effort, personally think you're being bit harsh on him.

I hope your wrong about waghorn as if he struggles then I think we will. Don't see any of our other strikers threatening the 20 goal Mark.

Let's also hope tav has been working on the defensive side of his game. He needs to.

03 Aug 2016 14:34:13
FODS - doesn't deserved dropped.

TAV - Defensively poor but crucial to our dynamic and forward play.
WILSON - Best of bad bunch
HILL - Communication vital and dropping him after poor game could ruin his whole season
WALLACE - Captain

BARTON - Best passer and CDM
ROSSITER - His box to box energy.
WINDASS - if fit or Halliday.

WAGHORN - can't figure out why people are dropping him he's our top scorer! Links up well with Tav.
MCKAY - Crucial to our play and link up with Wallace
MILLER - He has been off the boil (to say the least) but I do not see Dodoo/ Windass/ Waggy as a out and out striker and this shows we need one. Also Miller knows the opposition better than others.

03 Aug 2016 16:33:24
Hallidays looked the best player in pre season imo.

03 Aug 2016 22:12:43
Got to disagree when you say waghorn is over rated. No one is saying the boy is world class. However he did score 28 goals last season aswell as being out injured so give him a chance at least. Sure it wasn't the premier league so we can maybe judge him on this season.

03 Aug 2016 10:37:35
I would like to see dodoo getting a start, he's quick and has a finish. Everyone seems to ignore him when predicting teams on here. I think he could be a big player for us.

03 Aug 2016 11:05:54
He needs to prove himself as a Rangers player before being an automatic first team pick. let's hope he can produce some magic when he gets his chance.

03 Aug 2016 11:19:13
He also needs starts to prove himself and no better time than when Waggy, Miller etc are toiling. I'd play him between O'Halloran and Mckay on Saturday but we all know Waggy will start.

03 Aug 2016 12:02:33
everyone seems to think moh is a starter I think if forrester is fit then he should start boy has magic feet.

03 Aug 2016 12:03:25
I don't think he should be automaticly chosen but I'd have him over Miller.

03 Aug 2016 22:33:33
That because he's only just arrived mate, and he will be our no,1 striker, that what he was signed for, he needs to settle in Scotland first, and train, you will see him start very soon.

03 Aug 2016 22:39:38
14 goals and 25 assists can mean the difference between winning and losing league Tav is a certain ever present in all home games but personally I'd switch to Hod for the away games agains the other 2 contenders (Hearts and Sheep) possibly for Celtic game too will be good to stuff them 3/ 4 times to ensure they are 4th

Centre defence I would pair any of Wilson Hill and Jiernan until Crooks is fit or new CB signed up front estate any 3 from 6 but Waggy and McKay mostly starters same midfield rotate between the 6 depending on home/ away and who we facing Krancjar should be spared the away smaller teams esp plastic pitches

Rotation is the future I think due to volume of games esp when we get back into Europe.

03 Aug 2016 22:29:03
Harry needs a goal or two, boy is all about confidence. I think he'll smash it this season.

03 Aug 2016 10:24:19
I seen new Rangers strip on sale online from unisport could it be legit.

03 Aug 2016 11:01:49
Seen it to.

03 Aug 2016 12:03:54
so unisport and greaves are these true and if so do we get more money for the strips if not its still a boycott for me don't want fat man to see a penny fae us.

03 Aug 2016 12:54:36
Aye mabey but at 70 odd quid I don't think so. not when the fat man still gets his cut.

03 Aug 2016 22:58:54
Very legit. Does this mean we can soon buy the tops again?

03 Aug 2016 21:34:40
Greaves confirmed it apparently.

03 Aug 2016
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page.

03 Aug 2016 00:37:11
Other than marriappa the 2 centre backs that fit the bill right now are both free agents.

David wheater and Kelvin Wilson.

03 Aug 2016 05:23:38
Kelvin wilsons signed for rotherham.

03 Aug 2016 21:24:11
Any chance we can try and talk Emilson Cribari and Anestis Argyriou to come back they were a couple of diamonds McCoist signed

Just saying

#55 is coming soon.

03 Aug 2016 00:33:21
All the talk has been about our new signing, but what about holt? I thought he was superb last season and I hope him and Halliday get there chance this season. What's your thoughts guys? .

03 Aug 2016 01:09:24
Halliday should be played further forward. Holt I feel sorry for but the best two defensively minded midfield players are Barton and Rossiter.

03 Aug 2016 10:39:53
Holt is really unlucky he has picked up an injury at the wrong time. I hope he doesn't get consigned to the bench to come on as an impact player as he is way too good for that. Very much reminds me of Durrant and still young, he has a bright future in the game.

03 Aug 2016 10:57:13
Holt's still young, if he needs to bide his time this year Barton and Niko won't be about forever, still think he could go on to be a top class Ranger.

03 Aug 2016 12:13:45
I think he deserves to be played if not in the league games he deserves the two cups.

03 Aug 2016 13:13:55
This is a strange one as everyone thought holt was our best cm last season. He is also more attacking so if anyone is to drop out the team with rossiter and barton playing it would be halliday.

03 Aug 2016 00:25:43
Anyone who thinks we can make do with our defence is on the Chamakh.

03 Aug 2016 09:28:43
😂😂😂.

02 Aug 2016 23:57:35
I remember warburton saying rob kier an would get to the top of the game. I'm not sure what he seen or sees in him but he must do alright in training. Personally if we get a decent commanding defender I'd be happy. I think waghorn will score over 20 goals for us this season.

03 Aug 2016 12:15:15
he will not be at the top of the game but will get better than what he was last year.

02 Aug 2016 23:54:15
Everyone is saying no to lafferty. am I the only 1 that noticed that he was the second top scorer in the euro qualifiers and would have him over Steven Fletcher he has a far better goal scarring record and the manky mob wanted him first.

03 Aug 2016 00:55:07
Totally agree Andy -s, I'm sure he has matured over the years and he is desperate to come back, why not .

03 Aug 2016 01:13:02
What he did in the Euro Qualifiers is now history just like his totally woefully attempts to be a striker at the actual Euros. The guy is nothing but trouble, reputed betting scandals, embarrassing behaviour when he was last with us, not to mention the fact that he was a gross waste of close on £4m.

If he was not from Northern Ireland I doubt he would have so many wanting to see him back at Ibrox.

03 Aug 2016 08:05:59
if that's history then surely his past here should be history? rangers fans need to learn to stop getting so hung up in the past and look forward.

03 Aug 2016 08:09:56
Aye, and no to mention (again) that he scored the goals that won the league on his last 3 campaign's with the Glorious Glasgow Rangers😉.

03 Aug 2016 08:34:42
At club level what has he done since he deserted the club? Strange he wants to come back now that his career is faltering. Don't want him back or any of the other rats who turned their back in the club and fans.

03 Aug 2016 10:44:52
Don't want him, Judas Naismith, Whittaker or McGregor. Totally agree with the likes of Biffo and Tom42 - Lafferty was an expensive waste of space and should never be allowed back into Ibrox.

03 Aug 2016 12:19:50
I am thinking of the future and its brighter without him why would we lower our standard to his level when we have better strikers on the books the now the guy is rank rotten he is worse now than he was then as a player and he was mince back then just naw to him or to fletcher they are both players i'd booo even if they where wearing my teams colours that's how bad they are.

03 Aug 2016 21:22:27
Where was he 2nd top scorer? As from qualifiers just passed he was 5th or 6th top. behind lewandowski, muller, zlatan, dzeko.
