Morning bears, still a bit sore from sunday was the most disappointing defeat beside losing at parkhead for me,
Just wondering what bears on here think of gerrard as manager now we are a few months in to his tenure, personally I feel he does have to make improvements in his ability to effect the game in play, 10 minutes is not enough time for the guys from the bench to be fully effective and at the weekend I was watching thinking Aberdeen will score from a long ball or set piece and we'll leave it too late and he must see these things coming and change them before it's too late, though I in no way think his job should be in jeopardy at the moment as I have read a lot of people saying, just wondered what the thoughts on here are, are you bears happy with Gerrard in charge?

Good post. You make some great points. I was the same as you in that I could see that coming, even though the sheep had hardly mustered an attempt at goal. That said, I really thought McGregor should be coming for a ball like that so close to his goal. I'm sure the sheep goalie, granted who is a giant, would have cleared us out to get to the ball. Steven has had an impressive start to his tenure, no doubt, and we have been unfortunate in a few domestic games where we have dropped points. Games against them, Livingston and possibly Motherwell haven't been good enough. We were unfortunate to lose both strikers on Sunday which left SG with a quandary which he didn't solve in the end. I'd possibly have played Kent, Grezda and Middleton with Candeias supporting to try and out pace their defence. We needed to hit the by line regularly and flash balls across the box, try and push and pull them all over the place and tire them out. All in all he deserves a shot at it and looking on the positive side, the team is gelling and will get better. Disappointing but still a lot to be positive about given where we were under Pedro and at the end of the season.

Totally agree i'm a fan of Gerrard and obviously want him to succeed, but yes i'd like to see changes made before 80 mins. Also his team selection was wrong and why did Sadiq play 90 minutes?

Saw the exact same coming, I knew if they got a corner they would end up scoring. I've said 3 games in a row now he's waited far too long to make subs sof aye, I totally agree with you Rich, doing well but still a bit to go for me.

I am still happy with him in charge, I totally agree that he has to start making subs with plenty of time to change the game, rather than throwing someone on hoping that they do something to win it. Granted that sometimes works, it's not going to work all the time as we have seen. I will say that the players themselves have to be better as it's not always down to the manager, for instance the countless occasions where Tav couldn't put a decent ball in, the CBs always playing long aimless balls or losing the ball with a slack 10 yard pass. We need someone to play that 1 pass that none of our players seem to be able to play, we need someone to drive us forward as to me the play is slowed down far too often when you should be hitting on a quick counter. So I am still happy at the moment but if we keep getting poor results and poor performances every other game then we won't be winning anything.

Agree guys level headed posts and that’s what’s needed at Ibrox on Wednesday get behind the team and make Ibrox a real fortress 🇬🇧🔴⚪️🔵🇬🇧.

Over the moon he’s in charge. Between him and Allen they have improved the professionalism around the playing side of the club. No grasses running to their friends in the media with stories of discontent.

We as a club need to get away from looking for the quick fix. We’re definitely going places and I’ve enjoyed his tenure so far. With a new squad and manager their is bound to be some bumps along the way but progress is definitely being made.

Absolutely delighted that he's in charge. I hope he is for the foreseeable future.

Agree totally union Jack. A blind man can see the progress in such a short space of time with such an overhaul of staff.

As SG said himself at the start, there'll be a few bumps along the way.

Let's get behind them. Nothing I've heard from SG so far makes me think he'll settle for mediocrity.
