MW in frame for England U21's.

1.) 21 Dec 2016 12:55:22
he has too much ambition for club football level to be talked into ruining his career.

2.) 21 Dec 2016 13:20:16
Dont see how it would ruin his career taking england u21 job a mean southgate has done no bad out of it and it is his style develop young players so seems like a fit to me hope he don't go though.

3.) 21 Dec 2016 16:28:07
No chance, they don't play 433 lol.

14 Dec 2016 08:21:38
Chelsea interested in Billy Gilmour.

1.) 14 Dec 2016 09:25:41
Old news? Very much doubt the boy will leave us to go downsouth. I also doubt his parents fancy moving down south for a young boy showing potential, who for all we know could end up a good league 1 player all his days.

2.) 14 Dec 2016 09:54:56
Lots of clubs want wee Gilmore.

3.) 14 Dec 2016 10:55:17
It has worked out really well for all the forgotten, talented young Scottish players who departed a Scottish club to make it down south.

But seriously, how on earth do teams go for players when they're that age. Trying to unearth the next big thing for peanuts when money certainly is no object for any team in England's top flight.

How can you tell if a player at his age is going to go on and make it at even 20, 21, 22. It's impossible to predict what goes on in that time.

4.) 14 Dec 2016 12:50:52
Seen somewhere chelseas offered 500000 for gilmour, if he's aloud to leave before making a first team apperance then were back to the days of losing our most promising players before they can show our fans exactly why their tipped from the top, imo mw should get him signed up on a long term deal and try and put off potential buyers, gilmour has the potential to be one of the best we've ever seen at ibrox, its just a question if he would rathe make money, or make a legacy, and if he can even fulfill his ppotential.

5.) 14 Dec 2016 13:19:58
I still think if danny Wilson ruined his chance to maqke it at the highest level by leaving us too young.

6.) 14 Dec 2016 14:50:14
Agree on Danny Wilson, who was very badly advised to move to Liverpool when he did.

7.) 14 Dec 2016 16:03:57
The problem is rangers need to wait until he's 16 before making him a pro contract, but that also means every other club can do the same, it's down to him and his parents to then pick where he wants to go.

8.) 14 Dec 2016 18:18:41
What kid in their right mind would go to a top Premier league club? If he cares about the football he'll learn his trade before making the move to a top team!

9.) 16 Dec 2016 19:21:26
A couple of coupons for a free drink in the louden tavern should seal the deal.

10.) 16 Dec 2016 22:46:52
Barca Bayern Chelsea all supposedly looking at him would be such a shame to see him go before he turns 16 that's the nature of the game now money talks.

27 Jul 2016 17:11:57
Reliable source says Yoann Gourcuff is the mystery striker.

1.) 27 Jul 2016 17:15:51
Who gourcouff the midfielder?

2.) 27 Jul 2016 17:15:51
Who gourcouff the midfielder?

3.) 27 Jul 2016 17:17:52
People making stuff up again. gourcuff is a midfielder.

4.) 27 Jul 2016 17:20:50
I heard the mystery striker was fabricio collicini.

5.) 27 Jul 2016 17:29:38
He's out of contract as far as I'm aware. Had a one year deal with rennes (average French team) He can actually play across the front 3 which fits MW tastes. He's technically brilliant and only 30. Could be a lot of BS but this is the first name I've heard recently that's realistic! He's a class player that's been a bit off his game. Would love this to be true. Assuming there is no source though?

6.) 27 Jul 2016 17:37:21
this mystery striker stuff is getting silly now its a fitba player no the nxt james bond we just nd to bide our time and see what happens bears hopefully the magic hat pulls out beauty.

7.) 27 Jul 2016 18:03:53
It's Ally McCoist - needs the cash to pay for his new house. Prolific.

8.) 27 Jul 2016 20:30:03
It's captain Ted striker from the aeroplane movies.

16 May 2016 23:35:39
Barton to sign if we win cup and qualify for Europe.

1.) 17 May 2016 09:55:33
I've saw this on a few forums and although I agree European football would be a big draw for many players we would not be seeded and have to make it through the qualifiers which is not guaranteed so wouldn't think a decision would depend on this.

2.) 17 May 2016 15:33:01
players also look at how the team is doing just now and what players are being brought in to improve the squad. if he looks at the old firm and what warbs is doing this transfer window he might just want to be part of something.

Another positive performance against a team we struggled against last season. Plenty of different options with Gerrard definitely getting an improvement out of certain players.

The Buffalo is absolutely flying at the minute. But wouldn’t mind the Ulster Gazelle or A.N. Other being brought in to help him out.
Onwards and upwards. Long way to go but signs are looking good for the season ahead.
When do I dare to start dreaming?
Let’s Go! #55🔴⚪️🔵.

16 Aug 2018 16:50:19
Was the last result for the unwashed a game changer for Scottish football and more importantly Rangers?
Where to begin? For a club the size of Celtic with a turnover of last season including player sales and CL money of £90 million but a huge wage bill of £50 million, this loss of a potential £30 million CL money could be critical to their business model.

They also have an ambitious Hotel Project that although has been given the green light, we are yet to see a spade in the ground. Planning permission was only granted if work was started within 18 months. We are 10 months into this timescale and I have a good source who has said they are struggling to attract an official partner and may shelve the project due to a lack of funds.

Where the loss of the CL money will affect them and benefit us is player recruitment. Brenda has a horrendous record for signing players backed up with the stat that only 2 off his signings from the last 2 years started last nights game. They are in no man's land - can they attract the quality to improve the team directly or are they looking like it will be squad players and projects that will be recruited.
As for us we know where we stand.

Gerrard came in right away and sorted out the defense where the supposedly vastly more experienced Brenda has had 2 odd years to sort a defence that every Celtic fan has continually moaned about. Factor in The Lego muncher being another year older and his ability to influence games has waned.

Add in the disharmony in the squad with Boyata refusing to play, Brenda publically slating his defence compared to a real togetherness not seen at Ibrox since Walter took us all the way to the UEFA Cup Final.

Now the fans - by there absence on here we can all assume that banter is a one way street for Bhampot, Gazo, Rayman etc. How are they going to cope with the impending meltdown, Timplosion and subsequent banter years in reverse. When you hate your biggest rivals more than you love your own club? Then you take your eye of the ball.

Let's enjoy the ride with Gerrard. Where it takes us nobody knows. But you can be rest assured the greatest, most loyal fans in the world will still be here cheering on the Famous Glasgow Rangers.
Let's Go! #55.

Amen UJ.

2.) 16 Aug 2018 17:19:32
Great post Union Jack.

3.) 16 Aug 2018 17:28:06
Spot on mate.

4.) 16 Aug 2018 17:30:27
Spot on mate, Brenda has signed 17 players in two years yet only 2 played last night, by rights his defence should be years ahead of ours but they are not, our defence is getting better by the game . let's go.

5.) 16 Aug 2018 17:37:42
Nicely put Union Jack the thing being us RAngers fans back and support our club through the good times and the bad times. Brenda Will do walking away before Xmas just like popcorn teeth did and the stadium will be back to be covered with flags to hide the empty seats. Good times ahead hopefully for the worlds most successful football club. #letsgo.

6.) 16 Aug 2018 17:39:23
Take a bow union jack👏👏🇬🇧🇬🇧.

7.) 16 Aug 2018 17:39:45
Brilliant post UJ👍.

8.) 16 Aug 2018 17:40:41
Well Said!

9.) 16 Aug 2018 17:46:06
Very hard to disagree with anything you have said UJ.

I did not know about the 18 months, planning permission clause and i find that staggering. I have worked in construction projects previously and usually all the contracts (builders, plumbers, engineering etc) are signed off pending planning permission! As soon as it’s granted work can begin!

If (and I emphasise IF) this is not the case and they have no such contracts in place they WILLL struggle to find company’s that will accept such a big, long term project with less than 8 months notice.

If your source is correct regarding the 18 months clause and we are already 10 months in. then I can almost guarantee you the hotel project will not go ahead.

I could be wrong and Celtic could have all this up there sleeve, it would be a first in my experience though!

10.) 16 Aug 2018 17:55:05
Well said U. J.
As you said, there are no better more loyal fans than those that throng to G51.
The mhanks are proving they are simply fair weather fans.
Excellent post, keep up the good work folks.
All the best to our blue hero's tonight.

11.) 16 Aug 2018 17:59:17

12.) 16 Aug 2018 18:21:55
Ha amazin all the disagrees for UJ. A wee infriltrator I suspect let’s see if we can trap him .,

Well done union spot on 👍👍👍👍.

13.) 16 Aug 2018 18:55:18
Great Post UJ. We are heading upwards and by the sound of it, all is not rosey over at park shed.
But let's take it game at a time. Tonight is beat maribor and get to next round. Then weekend game.
Need to get momentum and Bury celtic and finally show them we are taking pole position and staying there.

14.) 16 Aug 2018 19:33:11
Don’t usually concern myself with them Union Jack but great post mate you're spot on with everything you said. Brenda gets an easy ride off the press. there fans and pundits who blame there board, but he has wasted a fortune on players and wages. I heard on talk sport there wage bill has went from 36 mill to 52 in 2 years and to add to what u said, they are having to repair breeze block boulevard as well.

Well tonight is either the dawning of a new era or another false dawn? Who knows?
We have the big name though inexperienced as a manager with a sense of anticipation, expectation not seen since Mr Souness walked through the doors.
We still have our off field issues that our obsessed neighbours continually love to remind us about.

But I take heart from the fact they have the FEAR that the mythical 10IAR is under threat.
We’ve strengthened the team in key areas though personally I would have liked to have seen a prolific striker signed to help out Morelos but we all know they come at a premium price.
Anyway the one constant for our great club is the fans who continue to turn out in numbers ( unlike others, no banners over seats for us to hide the lack of attendance) .
Like you @colster I'm always optimistic at the start of every season and here’s hoping we are more competitive which should be a given for any footballer regardless of ability. We are still the only show in town.

1.) 12 Jul 2018 13:26:24
UJ I was excited this time last year. God we actually thought we could challenge last year.
We certainly have a different calibre of player this year and if course, Stevie G in charge.
I’m am trying really, really hard not to get too carried away but I’m afraid I must just be failing😂😂😂

@ronnier9 - so the goals he scored last season brought nothing to the team? Reality check required on here at times.

Yes, Morelos misses a few but he also got a no bad return in a Gers side that was erratic to say the least consistency wise throughout the season.

@stig - you say Lafferty is the answer then put a? against the statement!
And are you sure you are a bluenose? Holt is out on loan and Dorrans and Rossiter are both injured.
And if Gerrard thinks Halliday a a good enough squad player then that will do for me.
