One of the best Scottish performances I can recall in years. Wonder what Brown thinking now, his decision to retire and not play in the early fixtures cost us 5 points that may be decisive in us not qualifying.

Ryman, brown is one of the better players in the scotland team. Is that not what this thread is about? Just saying he let his country down by turning his back and will be a big factor in us not achieving qualification.

Denial about what mate. Come on be a man u said brown cost us 5 points. At least stand by your statement don't try and get out of it. No player cost 5 points nobody in the scotland squad is that good to make a difference. You only mention it because he a celtic player.

Ryman, with your man brown in the team we would have comfortably beaten Lithuania at Hampden. Also we lost late goals and match in Slovakia, but had majority of possession and with your man on the pitch beliieve we would have won. Nothing to do with fact he is a Celtic. Player he is just a decent player and last season in particular was very good. Very disappointing and selfish on his part to turn his back on his country and then change his mind to play against England. I repeat, when we don't qualify for the World Cup it will he significantly down to your man brown. But then as you say you care very little about scotland and international footballl.

Fd your opinion is invalid because its based on no evidence. At the time brown was strughling with injuries and because of his age thought it was the best thing to do to lengthen his carreer as do a lot of players. He wasnt at his best at the time its nothing to do with turning his back. one thing i can garauntee tho if brown played for dundee utd or southampton you would never mention it so it has EVERYTHING to do with celtic.

rayman, that's correct he was starring and playing in the champions league at the time, check the dates. He made his choice and then changed his mind to play against England at Wembley when it suited him.

The dates are irrelevant mate, even if Brown was at his best on those dates there is no garauntee he would make any difference.
Even if we had messi mate and he did the same it makes no difference, as no one player can make that much of a difference its a team game.
Indeed by your own argument I could say someone else could a played in the games he played in and done better on the day and won the games we didn't, its a moot point totally.
As I said mate we wudnt be having this conversation if he wasn't a celtic player.
