People are really saying they'd take £2 million for Tav? Tav is one of our best players, his goals, assists, energy etc would make him a £10 million pound player down south. Easily. Yes he is vulnerable at times but so are many EPL wing backs! If scrubs like Johanssen, Bitton at Celtic are worth £5 mill plus to mug teams down south then I'd want at least that for him. Also I for one hope we don't sign Garner. He's too old to improve much and we have a better player in Dodoo on the bench already. Waggy is back in a few weeks too! All available money MUST be spent on a CD.

Sorry I would snap your hand off for £2.5 million sort our defence out maybe a forward no brainer. tav great lad good comin forward but not a good defender.

We are not in the south we are in a poor scottish league with very little quality. And 2million is a fair price for him. Especially when you consider what hull payed for andy Robertson who is twice the player tav is.

£2.5 m would not sort the defence and we would be losing a player that can contribute more goals than most of our midfield and forwards.

I actually think Tav has improved defensivly albeit not had the greatest of tests yet. great covering in the 2nd half yesterday when Wilson got humped for pace by Duffy.

2.5 million for a player we got for next to nothing last summer is a fair price personally a would rather they knocked it back but realistically a would be surprised if they didn't take the money if it was offered that being said who knows if he would accept to say he's worth 10 million is ridiculous.

2.5m for a guy we paid 200k for. Sounds like sound business to me. Don't want to see anyone leave but this is how we are going to have to do things for the foreseeable. But low sell high.

I think what people need to remember is he scored and set up goals in the Scottish championship, not the champions league.

Difference is those players are playing in the top league and Europe whereas Tavernier played in the championship. Tbh £2.5m is a great price and there is no way anyone would pay £5m for a Scottish championship player.
