Nacho Novo was @ Murray Park today training with the rest of the squad, don't know if this was anything more than just using our facilities but he was there

Hopefully to get fit for his new club not the gers!

I doubt he will be coming back to play for Rangers but he will pose a few problems for a number of defences next season and that includes ours if our centre back pairing is Perry and Cribari!

Squad number 27 - look into that how you please

Apparently its East Fife he'll be playing for next season, he's looking to come back to Scotland to be closer to his family.
Agree3

I for one would like to see him back. he plays his hart out and he will still be quick. he certainly would give the 2nd division sides problems. I don't think he would cost that much a week either.
but. its defenders we need!

I also heard it was east fife!

His representatives were at St Mirren last week. They said Novo would sign for £2,000 per week. This is out with St Mirrens pay structure and they told him to beat it. Personally I'd like him back but at 34 would he be a better option than 21 year old Kane Hemmings who we just let go? I don't think so.

Lol novo wasnt even that good I the first place because he kids on he's a diehard people loved him but wasnt a good player for us

Rangers in advanced talks to bring Blackpool's northern irish centre half Craig Cathcart to ibrox, mccoist is getting frustrated with the time it's taking zaliukas & berra to make up there minds and has now put all his efforts into signing cathcart, I've been told rangers expect to tie up the signing of cathcart this week and barring any major last minute hitches cathcart will become a rangers player and for what it's worth I think this is a superb signing, he's a very good centre half

As Blackpool fan his year option has been triggered. You would need to buy him so won't happen

Looks like the Berra thing will be happening shortly. Date of 30th has passed us by and was somehow vital to his transfer. Perhaps to do with the strange cancelling of the 2 defenders contracts. Expect him in over the next few days. From ex pro with nephew in Gers squad. Leader at the back would do nicely.

If we can somehow convince berra to join I will be a very happy bear.

Fair play to him, europa league football and gets into one of the best Championship teams, thought he would go to someone like Ipswich, Derby or Birmingham which are midtable Championship teams

Rangers are looking to get Darren Petrie and Ryan Gauld on a free as they are both on youth contracts.
Just a rumour, nothing more. thought I'd be as well to share with my fellow Gers.

Ryan Gauld is contracted to 2016 at Dundee Utd. End of story on that one.
As for Darren Petrie I don't know about him. I do know I have never heard of him though.

If he's 17 or under we can pay for him, the ban is only for over 18s
Agree0

^Hes on a youth contract, both of them, so it's only compensation you have to pay so about 50K for both I reckon

Hopefully Ali's job will be the first to be reviewed
Agree2

Allyson here to stay end of hopefully u as a fan should be reviewed with your negative comments
Agree1
Disagree2
Maybe this is the review of non footballing jobs? Sad that ordinary workers might be losing their jobs while we spend a fortune bringing in players that we don't need to win S (P)FL2! Just think about it. one player less at 5K a week is 250k a year. probably enough to save between 8 to 12 jobs of people on good average wages.

Who's Allyson? Is she tidy?

Confirms what's been said on here for months. Troubleshooter has been looking at all staff and contractors. Some staff who have been loyal to the club for years and small contractors who lost thousands in administration but stuck by the club. Contracts being put out to the big guns for tender. Please tell me where the loyalty is for these loyal bears family members!
Agree1

No chance of super ally being removed! Typical small minded comments. Judge the guy this year with a full pre season and better players

We had the second highest paid squad in scotland last year and we played terrible football. If its going to be more of the same them good bye Ali.

There have been suggestions for some time that the clubs overheads were too high; even when we were in the SPL so it doesn't surprise me that this is in course.
I would suggest that we have too many players on teh books and the main problem is that we most likely cannot move some of these players on without incurring costs.
Too many of the players signed last preseason were panic buys and others were fortunate that they were given contracts which was purely down to the shambles that resulted from players walking away.
We must also ask, why in the third tier of Scottish Football why McCoist needs two assistants.
Still, for me the bigger question is what the repercussions will be when it is proved that Whyte acquired teh Club by deception, which for me he could only have done due to teh incompetence of Bank of Scotland and Murray.

It's NOT the playing staff!

Rangers also saying that there is no programme of redundancies - try telling that to the dozen or so who so far have been notified! Why would Rangers lie! Some underhand goings on - time someone contacted the club to ask what is going on!

Rangers this week will sign Christophe berra, marian kello & possibly marius zaliukas although I've been told his signing will be next week, was told this from a very good source last night
Believable16

Not true. Rangers will sign berra only. McCoist wants McCulloch in at centre back next season with Berra along side. Back 4 of Wallace, Berra, McCulloch, Foster.

Yet to see anything official on Berra. Probably another Danny Wilson, Chris Humphries, Tom Hateley effort.
Would be a great signing and I know that the papers (for what that's worth) said Berra wants a move to Rangers and with that comes the usual moving closer to family patter but i'm not convinced this one will happen.

Must be a decent player and they are the 15th best team, with quite a few good players, like Man City's Dzeko, and Stoke's keeper Begovic
