we went down for breaklfast to the news on sky, tam burns death and the awful mess left in piccadilly. . the hotel manager pointed at the tv, and the head cooncillor and the police woman, and said to us "they caused this ". while there was some idiots there, many not scottish btw, there was a carnival atmosphere with coppers having their photos taken among the flags, only problem was the entire city centre ran out of beer, and ice. but the place was a mess by morning, what got me was this, they were making a big deal about the millions of bags and cans all over the place on sky news, where did they expect the rubbish to go, back home to scotland, ., anyway my pals and i had a great time boozing with russians the next night, i know my rangers top is somewhere in russia now, maybe, but smeaton, pathetic creature looking for free drink and autograph hunters.

Smeaton was a charlatan who made a name for himself through the BS he spouted for the cameras. He done sod all except stand there while others handled the situation, and when the cameras started rolling, all of a sudden he was a hardman. It didn't help that the media fed his ego.
