We don't need a similar style midfielder in cammy devlin when we have the superb connor Barron in our midfield ?As the saying goes amongst us bears 'the world is covered by 71% water and the rest is covered by connor Barron ??? Superb attitude he has with a terrific midfield engine and does the ugly work superbly well ?the wee man will most definitely do for me ? He's like our former midfielder stuart mccall for me a combative terrier in midfield who breaks up opposition play and just never stops ???.

Had a good game and is tenacious like mcall was but to be as good as Stuart he needs to go up a few levels and score the odd goal too.

Barron puts in more effort than any player we have but he's not good enough to take us to the level that we need to be at.

Got to say SWS Stuart McCall is always the former player I'm reminded of when I watch Connor Barron. Every team needs a few of those players to really thrive.

SWS we now need the creative players around him to get us playing our attacking game more effectively. we have stopped leaking simple goals in moist games but need to do more going forward. also a new DCM will help him develop more.

Absolutely Angus we are missing a football iq in the forward roles. Noone that can create, spot a defence splitting pass. We are lacking midfielder who take a chance and go beyond the forward line.
Motherwell today were great at running from deep and at angles to break the line.

They beat a team to move up the league all we can ask. Every player that won us 55 and got us to the Europa league final has been slated on here no idea what chance anyone else will have.

we also need to remember that Stuart McCall was 27 when he joined us and had just left Everton. Barron is still just 23 and will develop further given the right coaching and an experienced player alongside him teaching him the role.
