Just to put to bed this strange misconception that 42 thousand is a poor attendance for a thursday night game v Gent.
That would be one of the highest attendances in Europa League this week. Average home attendance in Europe is usually around the 45k mark. often well below and sometimes well above.
Depends, of course, on opposition's ability to qualify, time of year, game, many fans won't travel on a thursday night for a late kick off, how on earth anyone would believe we always sell out is beyond me, often thousands of tickets available from fans online or at the venue.
For PP:
Rangers average crowd for 6 games in Europa League last season 44.5k. i knew we often don't get close to a full house, no idea why you would think we " always sell out"

TT12,in your honest opinion do you think russell martin will survive this period and remain our head coach going forward for the foreseeable ?I hand on heart mate think he'll be given a lot more time than some on here care to believe ?.

Which is mad considering apparent 20k on waiting list for ST.

Tickets sold and attendance are 2 different things tom if 44k tickets are sold I expect 40k or under to actually attend the game.

Tom its not a misconception, you are gaslighting and trying to divert away from the fact that tonights low attendance is because fans will be voting with their feet against Martin. Its not normal for us to have such a low attendance on Euro nights. You can buy 6 tickets per Rangers account for tonight, normally you can only buy one ticket, sometimes two tickets per account. So again, its not normal.

Still plenty of tickets left. Not normal for European match at all ?.

TT agree and imo not deflecting from low attendance as historical stats show that it isn't particularly low for a team at level of Genk. 42k tonight vs average last year of 44.5k in a season when we made 1/ 4 finals. so does 2.5k less in attendance show the level of dislike of Martin ?. I would suggest not given the posts on here. However what it might show is the level if support for the team despite who the manager is.
Rfc club get money whether the fans turn up or not so yes sales vs attendance can be different but both end up with money in the club's coffers.

How many tickets/ seats do we give up for opposition and safety gap, as well as hobnobs in the good seats?
25 Sep 2025 16:48:02
A reflection of ticket prices and supporter unrest combined.
Let's hope performances and results improve, regardless of the manager.
Hopefully a good atmosphere and victory tonight.

43/ 45k tonight.
