To me we will always be Rangers, I can understand some fans thinking things are not the same because of what has happened therefore they don't class us as the same team, but a club doesn't lose it's history because it has gone through radical change. That change is part of our history and that underlines all the more that we are Rangers.

Ahree 100% mate. We are still Rangers always have been always will be

Correct m8, and if sum don't accept that. Why are they supporting a different club ?? We didn't miss a game. the whole world calls our team Rangers! We are at Ibrox. We are RANGERS,. We even have to explain this to sum who declare themselves as Rangers fans ??. if we turn up. And support a club forever. ? Then we are the only people who can declare our club dead ! And we didn't
Gods bless the GERS

Does anyone know what Donald Findlay does o make him rich. ??
He goes into court and tells lies. That is why he has had many murderers and crooks back on the streets. in my opinion. Of course.
Now all of a sudden we are interested in what this dinosaur says ! The same man who was kicked outofIbrox and our club because of his bigotry? Jealousy is a terrible thing Donald. U were chased. Now let us recover.

Re. tommy45. mate I've been wracking my brains thinking what to post about findlays comment. tommy you nailed it perfectly. great post my friend

Would be nice to see the manager sticking up up for the club the way most of us fans do.

From the DR:
"McCoist also had a friendly word with Cowdenbeath chairman and old pal Donald Findlay.
“We go back a long way and we had a nice drink after the game. What he said never even came up. ”

I agree with the poster who criticised McCoist for apparently looking to postpone the upcoming Alloa game. Surely now that we are only four points behind Hearts we should keep the momentum going to beat Falkirk and Alloa before the Hearts match later this month? By postponing the Alloa game, it would allow Hearts potentially to pull seven points clear again. Does McCoist ever think? I'm assuming if he asks for a postponement it is because of Lewis McLeod's call-up. If so, surely we must be able to survive against Alloa without him!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree Doiger, the game v Alloa must go ahead.
The manager's comments about the game last night '' delighted with the performance on a Tuesday night. '' He stresses Tuesday night, well play the game on an effen Saturday, as the fixture list, unless there are exceptional circumstances. It is vital to keep as close to Hearts as possible until we play them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Premier League games are postponed and I suppose few lawmakers foresaw a lower league team having four or so internationalists on duty.

What if McLeod's replacement on the Saturday match scored a hat trick and named man of the match. Does McCoist drop McLeod for the next game because he was too busy playing for Scotland ? I understand the benefits of a fuller Ibrox on a Saturday and you raise a good point but I can see the manager's difficult position. A game in hand is a game in hand and doesn't hand Hearts an advantage.

@2 I agree, there is also the psychological aspect of it.What kind of message does this send out when we are postponing home games against part time opposition? Not to mention the immediate need for the gate money.McCleod has been deployed on the wing,so Templeton can step in surely? We need to build up some momentum for what could turn out to be a crucial match at Tynecastle, but that's McCoist for you,one minute he's telling us how hard these midweek games can be,then puts us into another. The man is a bufoon.

Fraser, this does clearly present an advantage to hearts, and to hibs, they know if they win their games, as expected, then the pressure is back o rangers, mcoist cannot see this but you can be assured neilson and Stubbs do, it is ridiculous to suggest a game in hand is advantageous as opposed to 3 pts, wot will he say if we have a bad winter and end up with many games postponed ? Or when we do play these games we have more injury problems than before ? He is doing what he wants and it is damaging our hopes, we have played many games without lewis, we can cope with allow for gods sake!
It is simply another thing for us to be laughed at and ridicule d for,

Agree0 Disagree0

@5, so if Wallace or Miller were also suddenly called up - one of them - for the Scotland squad, would you then say let's now call for a postponement ? Where or which players are the cut off line ? I'm on McCoist's side here on trying to juggle a whole bunch of SFA balls which don't make sense in today's era of three of the historic top four teams in the country playing in a lower division. Level playing field ? Postpone all Championship matches that Saturday.

Kfraser:That's ifs and maybes,at this point we're talking about McCleod. Now if we can't beat Alloa at home without him then we're not good enough to win the league.I don't think McCoist will be allowed to postpone in any case.Easdale,Somers or whoever, will tell him to get on with it because of the gate money

@7, ask Chelsea how they felt after scraping through 2-1 against Shrewsbury last week in the cup. We've been facing that kind of match for two and a half years solid ! It's a cup final every match.

Chelsea couldn't give a toss about any domestic cup competitions. They probably played half their under18s,you can't begin to compare our situation with a Chelsea cup game anyway,no matter who they're playing.

Agree0 Disagree0

The postponement can be an advantage to us ONLY if hearts drop points. It could be a good thing but my general feeling is We are Rangers why postpone.

Agree0 Disagree0

@9, guess what ? Chelsea played a near full strength team. Shrewsbury played out of their skins. Their players, one on one, looked equal to a Chelsea one. We need to understand counter attack football in today's age.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Chelsea played a strong team, but they are so strong that it wasnt anywhere near their full strength team)

Ure argument gets more ridiculous by the post. Miller retired from international football, Wallace won't be called up. We are in the 2nd tier of Scottish football man get a grip. , what if Boyd is recalled ?. What if greig is recalled. ?

Chelsea and the other big three treat the domestic cups as a hinderance to their league and European aspirations mate.
We started off debating the point of Rangers postponing (or not)a home game against Alloa on the back of a Scotland call up for McCleod, and end up at counter attacking football in this day and age.Good stuff.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 kfraser, if Alloa's striker and centre half, there names slip my mind at the moment!!!, can't get off their work to play do you think they will be shouting about getting the match postponed? You, along with our inept manager, are seriously having a laugh if you think this match should be postponed because one player is missing from the squad and therefore puts us in a vulnerable position. You are aware that Alloa are part time? Ludicrous.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 kfraser - what if his replacement scores a hat-trick?, we don't have anyone to replace him mate!!, we can't even replace aird because all his replacements have been pumped out on loan and we have to use a left back
we don't even have midfielders on the bench during games

this all highlights the total lack of planning around the team and the full squad, Ally gave hutton a year extension!! for what? to play with the under20's???

after that wee rant I do agree that the game should be played if we are only missing one player
